Name: Roland Wright.

Age: 16 most of the time

Appearance: Most of the time Roland has messy black hair that tangles up and falls over at least one of if not both of his brown eyes. Roland is usually around 5'4" in height and ridiculously pale due to his powers making it more than a little difficult for him to get a tan
.
Personality: Roland is a huge fan of anime and video-games of multiple genres ever since he was little. This has an unusual effect on his worldview, as these days he sees himself as the protagonist of his own story, causing him to try and act like a hot-blooded and "cool" hero. Despite seeing himself as the main character he insists that everyone is a vital part of the story no matter how minor their part seems, and he strives his best to make sure everyone has a 'good ending'.

Clubs: Video gaming club, anime and manga appreciation club, school security forces/disciplinary committee.

Brief Backstory: Optional. As a small child Roland wanted desperately to be a hero and wound up contracting with a phoenix to that end. However, he wasn't exactly capable of handling the power well at his age and kept continually getting in trouble while trying to 'save' people. Eventually his parents didn't know what else to do with him and sent him to Covenant Academy, where he's lived ever since he was six or seven. His drive to be a hero eventually landed him a place helping to protect Covenant Academy, and he works as hard as possible at the job like a hero should while also living what he deems 'a beautiful and idyllic school life!'

Contract(s)
Contracted Beings: Phoenix
Name:
Type:Phoenix
Personality:
Powers: The primary power of the Phoenix contract allows Roland to control and generate flames, as well as granting him immunity damage of any sort from heat or flame of any sort that he can also choose to extend to his clothes and anything he's touching at the time. The Phoenix contract also grants Roland an additional power. He has the power of Rejuvination, and can heal from nearly any sort of damage, even fatal wounds. However this comes with a serious downside. After Roland's regenerative powers activate, his age temporarily reverts to eight years old. In eight-year-old form Roland is unable to use his Rejuvination power and his flame abilities are greatly diminished.

Fusion: In fused form Roland's hair becomes a fiery red, yellow and orange color reminiscent of flames, with spike-filled styling to match. His eyes also become reddish colored and he gains the ability to generate flaming wings from his back that let him fly at incredibly high speeds. His flames also become much more powerful. However while in this state he loses access to his healing abilities.

Summon: The Phoenix looks like a big bird of prey. Made of fire. The Phoenix is about the size of a Philippine or Harpy Eagle and can generally hurtle around like a feather-y fireball with talons attached burning through most things it comes in contact with. It can also heal others or itself of major injuries at which point it becomes something a lot closer to http://www.fanpop.com/clubs/the-random-creatures-of-anime/images/13867817/title/chibi-phoenix-photo?ir=true] this and vanishes soon after.
But see, here's the thing. While I don't really want to throw some ARGUS Agent in there (no offense, it's just not what I was hoping for) I also didn't want or expect to play the whole scene myself or for NicNak to play Luthor if it comes to that, which frankly makes me uncomfortable at the idea.

I was hoping the GM would take time to play Luthor for that scene so that nobody would screw up his plans for whatever the Khandaq thing becomes since this whole confrontation would be about that and it's important to the plot. Maybe he was already planning on doing that but the NicNak thing made me doubt it a little and I'm not quite sure how to proceed.
So far I've somewhat worked out three characters for Strix's rogues gallery:

Count Corvus A self-proclaimed immortal who always seems to come back even after he's killed and claims to have lived for centuries and has the skills, resources and massive cult to back up his claims, and whom Strix believes is a prime agent of The Conspiracy.

Thomas "Crusty" Thermidore, one of Boston's most powerful gang leaders twice over. While formerly fading from prominence due to his advanced age, The Awakening transformed him into a lobster-like hybrid creature granting him not just ageless vigor but super-strength, a massive increase in size and an armored hide with superhuman durability to match.

Kabuki, a modern day ninja and assassin-for-hire who trained in ninjutsu alongside Strix and is even more skilled than him physically. He's driven not by money or by any sort of honor code or greater good but simply staging ever more elaborate 'performances' with his assassinations, as well as finding people who can provide amusement and challenge for him as a martial artist.

Not sure if these are any good. Took a mix of inspiration from different stuff. I'll admit that Count Corvus is basically Ra's Al Ghul mixed with Lord Deathman, at least. Feedback welcomed.
Hope my post is okay, not sure what good it'll do against Pariah though XD
Strix took the opportunity while the mortar shell hit and thinned things out and dropped a smoke pellet in the nest, thickening the already heavy confusion the 'henchmen' must have felt. With concealing smoke now heavy in the air and then men already reeling from the concussive mortar, Strix would arm himself with blunted feather throwing knives and use his cowl's sonar mapping to guide his attack and leap into the nest. As he leaped he would unleash a shrieking burst from the Echo System to further demoralize, pain and confuse the remaining snipers. He tried aimed the initial jump so that he'd hopefully land on the shoulders of the nearest henchman, wrapping his legs to lock around the opponent and twisting his body to throw him to the ground while bringing himself low and prone in the same motion. But at the same time as he made his jump he threw his 'feathers' at the others, aiming for heads and guns.

The end effect theatrically speaking, he hoped, would make it seem like some sort of shrieking creature had swooped in on the hencmen as their guns were knocked from their hands and some of them were knocked over and out while the first unfortunate soul got pounced on taken down hard in front of them to put more fear in the ones who were just disarmed before they could realize what happened then use the hesitation that created to jump up and take down the unarmed remains in close. That at least was part of how he tended to do business usually. Since they were just workers, he'd make sure to personally apologize to each one as he knocked them out.

If all of that worked and the nest was neutralized he would start moving closer to the but slightly ahead of the others and all while scanning the surrounding area and the bus for traps with both his sonar in long-range penetrative mode, and his own sight in a mix of close range and telescopic vision. He would be slightly in front of the the main group as he did, and above on the rooftops, in case of ambush or booby traps. He wasn't sure if there would be any but hopefully by doing thorough scans and moving in front of the main party he would be able to detect them and get a warning out. If not he could scout the bus and report on the situation. Either way, they had no idea what was out there, and Pariah was capable of anything so...

hopefully I can spring for decent, highly encrypted communicators after this mess, multiple modes of communication included with various signals maybe so we can actually communicate plans as a whole.. for now...
Sorry again Mr.D. I know this sort of thing is your job as GM and not my business, and honestly I should probably leave it alone and I apologize to everyone since I feel like I've been doing this a lot.
Okay Sep, since you asked for people to point out errors inconsistencies and problems...

You made your own NPC bad guys and beat them without any input from the GM for almost the entirety of your post as far as I can tell which is usually kind of bad RP etiquette

I have no idea who the 'winged idiot' in your post was supposed to be since as far as I can remember nobody looks like they have wings at the moment

You seem to have charged past the barricade without the GM even saying what's happened now that it's presumably down and made your own scenery and scenario for that and decided it was a trap on your own wherever the heck you are because it's 'obvious;. Even if that's what Pariah and the GM by extension had planned and your character believes it you don't decide that yourself, I think.

I could be completely wrong but those are a few things that stand out. I know the GM gave you permission to catch up but you could try sticking to things the GM posted I guess rather than making your own stuff, and moving ahead of the rest of the game but I dunno. and again I could be wrong.

Sorry, I feel like I keep doing this sort of stuff and I really hate being a critic. Hopefully it won't matter.
What...so we're just skipping out on that whole scene...I...ugh...
Also um, is making a list of villains a thing we can do for our characters? I have a few ideas for Strix enemies/Massachusetts based super-criminals.
Oh good, well I'm very glad to have been wrong, thanks. I'll have Strix use the mortar explosion as a distraction. Still have some issues with the post personally, but like I said GM's the boss and I won't pester you.
