It really doesn't. It would be even weirder if it existed hundreds of years after the events of Z where at least a decent portion of the population is descended from Saiyans and Majins and Namekians make up decent sized minority populations too. Plus like Rin said the population of the planet itself is so inherently weird that it would seem hypocritical. As evidence of that Goku and Piccolo were both able to live on Earth for decades or in Piccolo's case technically centuries without anyone even thinking they might be aliens despite Piccolo literally being a green man with antennae and Goku being a kid with a monkey-tail who turned into a giant ape at the full moon.

Considering like half the contestants in the tournament itself are aliens or descended from aliens and the whole crowd was implied to be fine with it it just seems weird, extremely out of place and overly dark and unfitting for the setting. Not sure why you feel the need to shoehorn it in.

and before anyone gets into "But humans on normal Earth are racist towards other humans all the time even though they're all the same species" or something, I'll just remind you all that this is a universe wherein Mr. Popo exists
and not ONCE does anyone notice that he's basically a massive stereotype that has somehow taken on sentience. The Dark Lord Popo clearly devoured all forms of race or species-ism long ago.
Eh, I guess I'll stick around since the GM asked. Need something to do during the slow boring bits of life anyways.
Well, someone's feeling like a complete and utter ass who likes to rub salt into other people's wounds, I see. and as long as that kind of thing is going on, I'm out.
Um, Guls has had 650 since the beginning in case anyone missed it.
Don't worry, you'll get interacted with!
Honestly I had planned and hoped for Guls to fight Chikori himself at some point during the tournament. I'd kind of had it in mind for a while actually. He'd be interested enough in Ultra-Dimension without having to fight him as it were. And I still prefer post-by-post and heavily dislike collabs. Call it an unfair personal preference if you will but the GM has ruled that it's fine. Also I still don't see how your way is meant to work if I don't feel that my character would respond in a way that your pre-planned character moves would call for and you don't know exactly how my character fights or responds so I don't see how you're doing that. Not saying it's impossible or meaning to be argumentative. I guess I just don't understand.

Anyways yeah, I was really hoping for Guls go to up against Chikori since a few of the others he would potentially recruit have their potential more obvious and readily observable than hers is likely to be based on her profile and conversations I've had with Rin.
j8cob said On the topic of player fights, collaboration posts are not mandatory though I personally like them. Post-by-post fights present more opportunities for those not involved directly, but naturally take longer. The end result's quality is still the same so it is up to the two fighters. However, it is mandatory that the two players determine who will win the fight beforehand. If that cannot be done in an orderly manner, I will step in. Likewise, if it is between me and another player and we cannot decide who would win, I will force another player to be the third party to mediate that. This is to keep things fun and fluid so I hope this concept doesn't get abused or made a mockery of.

So essentially the only things mandatory are that we determine who wins beforehand, and post-by-post fights are just fine, which is in fact my preference. My personal thought on Gecko's method is that scripting your fighter's moves out in advance without seeing what the other player is intending to do with their character or how they would react to your moves doesn't make sense, but I might be misunderstanding what he meant.
Considering the outcomes of the fights and their details have to be hashed out and agreed to by the players and at least some of us (myself included) dislike doing collaboration posts heavily, I'm not sure how much you should plan out PC fights in advance really.
"Thank you for the kind offer, Ultra-dimension. But the lethal nature of the sword helps me keep the mindset needed to wield it properly. To change that could have dangerous consequences."

Guls barely let the rocket phase him and instead focused his attention on all the fighters who had gathered so far. Ultra-Dimension might make a good apprentice, and though at the moment the Green Swordsman doubted he had the physical ability to learn the Great Sage School's techniques his heart was in the right place and what he had managed to achieve with technology was impressive by itself. The other fighters here also seemed like they might hold interesting potential apprentices or disciples, though only time and the tournament would tell for sure. The young Namekian with a certain heaviness to the feel of his heart bore looking into, at least regarding his newness on Earth and Guls' own moral responsibilities as his elder if not as someone to pass teachings onto. The foreboding feelings Guls had gotten as of late weighed heavily on him, and the feeling of needing to prepare a new generation to join him in his mission pressed on his thoughts more each day, it seemed.

Regardless he was getting distracted in his own thoughts and observing and fighting in the tournament should be his primary goal.

"I apologize for my own distraction. I was lost in contemplation of the battles to come. Needless to say though, I'll be keeping my eye on promising young warriors like yourself." Guls didn't seem to notice the champ too much as he spoke up to the rest, although he made a mental note to watch his fight to see whether he was the genuine article. As the announcer burst in and gave a rundown of the rules and situation, Guls drew himself further back into his veiled cloak and waited for things to commence as he noted the rules.
As the roar of the crowd intensified from inside the fighters' rest area, Guls sat against a corner of the wall with his legs crossed in a meditative pose, positioned so he could observe both the screen and his fellow fighters. Neither the fights nor the Dragonballs themselves were Guls' objective after all. But this time would likely be the best chance he got to observe the potential candidates to become disciples of the Great Sage school of martial arts. His interactions with them now in a high pressure situation, their reactions to the battles and their own fights would tell him more than the idle chitchat had earlier. Other than that, he needed to focus on garnering attention with his own fights. The others were unlikely to join him unless he did well for himself, after all.
Also you completely made up a race of aliens rather than going with anything Dragonball or Dragonball Z related at all, but frankly that seems like the least worrying part of all that considering the other stuff.
