"So Todd..I've heard that you also...um...well that is to say..it's not like I...well...explosions?" the most awkward/adorable brotherly chats about getting blown up EVER, yes. Oh god if Gotham has New Year's fireworks and I'm pretty sure he's never seen New Years celebrations before...poor Damian. That said not sure if I should post a short bit of him waking up and his post-explosion thoughts or what.

That's just what you think! They totally love him for real and they'll be back any day now and then Bruce will realize he's wrong about marrying Selina and they can all rule the world together as one big happy family with Drake as their unloved, constantly humiliated court jester! You'll see! He's not actually THAT much in denial about it, but after a lifetime of "Death has limited consequences and we have resources to just rebuild your spine and clone you new organs if we have to" the idea that death is SERIOUS and you and people around you could ACTUALLY DIE AND STAY DEAD takes some getting used to. Especially since he's only recently coming around to the conclusion that, after almost a year and NOT showing up to decapitate Selina before the wedding, Talia's almost definitely not coming back.

I guess that would depend on whether or not he accidentally made it worse, which he would find extremely offensive. If he actually managed to improve it or do something cool with it Damian would probably find it...acceptable. Though obviously he neither needs nor wants your pity over a thing as minor as being exploded! He barely even feels the burns and absolutely doesn't have nightmares about it! it's...just that he's practicing grimacing at criminals, and sleep is overrated and pointless! Although actually after being raised by the League, I'm not sure how traumatic he would find almost dying in an explosion. I kind of think part of the reason he ignored it possibly being an ambush and is reckless in general is the idea that Talia and Ra's can always just bring him back or fix him with magic and super-science if he dies/gets a crippling injury.

"At least I have a reason for looking like a burn victim, whereas you have no excuse for continuing to assault the world with your presence, Fat-girl." He would totally ignore medical treatment and forget to apply burn ointment unless people reminded him though.

"-tt-, I don't see what you're all getting so worked up about! As if being killed is enough to make me die!" Though now Damian totally has a secret fear of port-a-potties. Well, moreso than he already had as an ordinary rich person. He'll also probably be pretty irritated by the sunburn and the forced buzzcut. Worst part of the whole 'being exploded' deal, really. Edit: "Having extremely short hair is combat efficient, you sea cow! So just...shut up before I break your face!"

HA! I KNEW IT! Although Damian will be extremely unhappy about this. Extremely. Bruce forced him to go through that ridiculous formal circus for nothing AND NOW Selina Kyle is legally his stepmother! There is literally no way things could be worse!

Right then, and there's always the slim possibility that their players come back. Also I still want to know, since the wedding was interrupted by cyborg hitmen, are Bruce and Selina married or not? Although knowing Batman, he prepared for someone crashing the wedding and they were 'already married fifteen minutes ago'.
