Not really sure what to do for an entrance post.
Major interest! Are we each making a Meister/Weapon pair, or do we make one or the other and actually pair with each other? The latter sounds cool, though I'd be interested in the former a bit as well!
Archer

Dialogue Styling Red | Thought Styling Red Italics

Archer let a grim smile spread across his face in pleased surprise as the woman managed to get her weapon up in time to defeat his arrow. Few could match the swiftness of his shots, perhaps this war would stir him from his melancholy after all! He delighted in her initial flash of fury and her self-assured demeanor as she realized his arrow had been but a mocking gesture, and his heart soared with excitement at that first flash of speed, her lightning swift form clearly visible to his archer's eyes but no less impressive in spite of that. He noted with keen interest the way she pushed off of the air itself, racing towards him with spear outstretched like one of his own arrows.

Let's see if she can catch me before I strike her from the sky.

Ride The Wind: B

Archer leaped back and up himself as she raced toward him through the sky, but as reached the height of his jump he was swept up and to the side by a torrent of air at great speed. He didn't run through space as if on a solid platform, nor did he jet out like a modern rocket. Instead it was if the wind itself had become a swift river on which he rafted, or else it had transformed itself into an invisible steed on which he rode. Rushing away at a sharp curve from the rooftop, Archer flashed a grin at the spearwoman as he nocked two arrows to his bow, his long hair and jacket whipping in his self-created wind. There was no malice or mockery in him at that moment, merely enjoyment at pushing his skills further.

"Did you think me a fool, or merely incompetent?"

Archer let both arrows fly in Lancer's general direction. However both attacks looked to go obviously wide of the reach of either lance or shield and sail harmlessly past her and into the distance, as if riding on a current of air and trying to launch two arrows at once had thrown off his aim far too much as he evaded her charge.

"More importantly, did you truly think those shots were the limits of my art?!"

As he spoke, the seemingly impossible happened. Archer's arrows made a sharp, sudden turn in mid-flight so that they would strike Lancer from behind instead of missing entirely, stabbing one from each side if they struck.

"Know this, Servant of the Lance! There is nothing in this world beyond the reach of my arrows!"

Archer

Archer hmphed to himself mentally as he watched the scene below him unfold. There was a strange gap in his memory, a blank space where there should be none in both his quiver and his mind. Perhaps some strange mental trick from one of his adversaries. More importantly though, one of his targets was squawking like an indignant rooster and generally making a fool of herself. He had taken a shot, at someone somewhere, that much was plain to him, so they must know they were all in danger of being targeted.

Well, Archer was certain he had hunted more dangerous foes, it would be fine enough to see how she reacted to being hunted and take some measure of her. His own maneuverability was unsurpassed with few exceptions, so he had confidence he could shake his quarry if his true attack afterward failed. Besides, he needed distraction until this war was over and he could rest again.

Archer knocked a single arrow, pulled back and let fly with contemptuous lack of effort, aiming to let the fletching just brush by Lancer's head so the missile would bury itself in the ground with a notable thunk.

Let them think he missed. His next arrow would not.
I'm subbing in as a new Archer, just so everyone knows!
Iron Fist could also be involved in a number of plotlines as well. He's technically a troubleshooter for Rand Enterprises but is mostly allowed to do his own thing for the most part.

Playbook Moves
  • Belong in Two Worlds:
You have the resources that come with your important station. Whenever time passes, if you’ve been in contact with your people, roll + Superior. On a 10+, hold 3. On a 7- 9, hold 2. On a miss, hold 1, but your people
make an uncomfortable demand of you. Spend your hold 1 for 1 to:

    - Have some useful piece of alien technology: use any ability from another playbook once this session.
    - Consult your alien knowledge to ask the GM a question about the current situation.
    - Clear someone's Condition through advanced alien healing processes.
□ Alien tech:
When you alter a human device with your alien technology, roll + Freak. On a hit,
you create a device that can do something impossible once and then fizzle. When you roll a 10+, choose 1:
- It works exceptionally well.
- You get an additional use out of it.

On a miss, the device works, but it has a completely unintended side effect that the GM will reveal when you use it.

[*]Kirby-craft:
You have a vehicle, something from your home. Detail its look, and choose two strengths and two weaknesses. When you are flying your ship, you can use it to unleash your powers, directly engage a threat, or defend using Superior. The craft is extremely fast and maneuverable and also can be invisible through chameleon plating. It is vulnerable to high powered sonic emissions.

Backstory
[list][*] Where do you come from?
[i]From the Unconquered Solar Meritocracy, specifically an elite military academy at the center of our glorious Hegemony!
[/*]
  • Why did you come to Earth?

My Ship and I crashed here while on the way to an unknown destination.
  • Why do you want to stay here (for now at least)?

As part of my final task before being fully recognized not only as an adult of my civilization but a member of our Meritocracy, I am required to live on an alien world as a Planetary Observer. Although my ship and I have crashed on Earth, it's as good a place as any to begin my Period Of Observation
  • Why do your people want you to come home?

Only the best and brightest juveniles are selected to be Planetary Observers! I am a valuable resource to my world necessary for the betterment of society and already represent a significant investment in training, support and resources!
  • Why do you care about the team?

They represent a valuable source of cultural and local knowledge as well as a perfect avenue into acceptance among this planet's inhabitants, if in an unusual role. The companionship of similarly aged and likeminded sophonts also provides an important safeguard for my mental and emotional well-being during this otherwise isolating assignment!

    • You’ve been learning about Earth by spending time with _____________.
    • You have a specific fondness for ________________ but you keep it under wraps.

edited in a basic bio for Iron Fist 2099. will get sample posts in as soon as I can.

Also a WIP on my end, but I have the powers/skills, weaknesses and appearance down for the new Iron Fist.

    Sample Post -
I'm internally debating the kind of social class/lifestyle I want for my Iron Fist, whether he'd have inherited some form of the Rand Corporation and thus be on the richer end of things or not have access to it and wind up living poor and maybe homeless after arriving in Nueva York from K'un-L'un.

I was thinking maybe a third option, where Danny set up a division of Rand to monitor, research and assist potential Immortal Weapons-relevant goings on shortly before his death. Sort of like the Speedwagon Foundation in Jojo's if it involved magical kung fu instead of vampires or if Wayne Enterprises and Stark's occasional cover stories of funding and financially supporting heroes were actually true instead of their CEOs being the heroes.

Still, both of the other options have their advantages in terms of the feel of the character and what kind of stories might be easiest to get him involved in, so I thought I'd try and feel out what other people thought.
