Khan's eyes drifted open slowly as he fought back a pounding headache. He was sure he hadn't really been hit that hard, even if getting caught by such an obvious feint was probably the most shameful and costly mistake of his short life as a Jedi thus far. But judging by the way his head was swimming and the fact that he had no idea where he was, maybe he'd been drugged? They were going to be captured before Khan passed out! That much came back to the Echani Padawan rather quickly and made him freeze in place and try to keep feigning unconsciousness as he assessed his situation.

Khan didn't have his lightsaber, which made sense since only incompetents would have left any of them properly armed. He also had no idea how long he'd been kept unconscious for after he'd been knocked senseless by that one Sith Lizard. There were guards in the room although Khan couldn't get the full details for everyone without moving his head too obviously to keep up the charade that he wasn't yet awake. How many were there though, and could he take them on unarmed? The young Echani figured that he could fight maybe two guards at once depending on how well trained they were but any more than that would mean risking serious injuries.

Wait, wait...there was definitely someone here besides another prisoner and the guards. An unknown voice, female, warning his fellow captive not to try anything. Khan should act shouldn't he? Maybe together they could fight the guards off fast enough to make a break for it! If nothing else shouldn't he at least try, attempt to prevent the guards from taking another prisoner away?

That's what the padawan normally would have thought, what he normally would've done unquestioningly, but now his body wouldn't move. He hated to admit it, even privately to himself, but his defeat at the hands of that Trandoshan had shaken his confidence badly. Even as a Jedi, even as a warrior, he wasn't entirely without fear anymore.

So he just stayed there, frozen, trying to pretend he was still only half-conscious.

Decided to submit this character for consideration instead of my wind-based character, for the sake of more potential power diversity. I hadn't heard back from the other wind-based applicant about the potential of having similar powers. I also think personality-wise he might be a bit more interesting to play.

Around 152cm tall or slightly under five feet tall, Hirohiko is a perpetual sloucher ontop of his short height except for his most determined moments. He seems not to have grown or matured much while the rest of his classmates shot up around him, though to him it's just another reason to feel uneasy. He has black hair with one stubborn cowlick and brown eyes that alternately seem like dull dead wood when he's depressed and smolder a bit brighter when he's determined. He's not very athletic as much due to lack of confidence as lack of size and as a result his physique is a little weaker in terms of muscle than average. He favors clothes that don't really call attention to himself in any way and feels more comfortable fading into the background and letting others overlook him.

Hirohiko's Quirk is 'Mass Effect', the ability to manipulate his personal density. Currently when Mass Effect is activated Hirohiko's density increases exponentially until he's extremely heavy and too dense for his own strength and sense of balance to keep him upright if he attempts to move. Fortunately the increase in density and weight corresponds to an increased durability as his skin, bones etc all become correspondingly dense and tough, so these incidents of freezing up or falling over rarely result in injuries. With time he should be able to control the degree to which his density increases or even make himself lighter and less dense to allow for increased speed and jumping ability and perhaps even the ability to ride air currents.

At the moment however, he doesn't have full control over his powers and can only become extremely dense. Perhaps due to past trauma, he also tends to become dense on reflex if he becomes frightened or over-excited, essentially during times of extreme emotion.

Hirohiko is average in grades and subpar in athletics, though in that case partly because his Quirk activates whenever he gets too nervous or overexcited, pretty much stopping him in his tracks or making him fall over whenever he'd be about to accomplish anything athletically. As a result of repeated failures in front of his peers and his perceived lack of self-worth he's given up on most extra-curricular activities. He enjoys quiet solitary hobbies where it doesn't matter so much if he freezes up for a bit like drawing, reading and gardening.

Ideally I'd like to develop him from a no-confidence having wreck who can't get past his fears over what happened to his mother into a confident, effective young Hero in training who wants to live up to her legacy. He'd start out unable to use his Quirk in any meaningful way except as self-defense, but with time, training and confidence he'd be able to move past his mental blocks and training obstacles and come up with a wide variety of applications for it in terms of combat and support. I think it'd also be neat to see about trying to turn him from someone who's overlooked and perhaps pitied by his peers into an equal over the course of the story.

I'm not sure he'd be very good at fights, other than just surviving fights undamaged at which he excels.

Ken is 5'5 with short, dark black hair that always has one or two unmanageable cowlicks no matter how he combs it and soft oak brown eyes. He generally tries to wear gloves or in cold weather mittens that cover up his hands to try and avoid drawing attention to his quirk as well as keeping them as an additional safety measure over the shiny, metallic discs of metal that normally cover them. He's a fairly skinny and nonathletic kid despite the fact that his powers would benefit from exercise. In addition he's unusually pale from all the hard work he's put in trying to avoid strenuous physical activities. He's also got a face that's much more prone to smiling vacantly than frowning and brooding and tries to generally maintain a façade that he's as carefree as the wind, dressing somewhat sloppily as part of that when he can get away with it.

Mutation

Ken's Quirk is Rotary Breeze, a mutation-type Quirk that meant he was born with rotor blades in his palms that are capable of generating hurricane force winds that often appear similar to miniature tornadoes. When not actively in use, the palm rotors are protected by a retractable metallic cover that looks like a metal disc in the center of each palm with a crack across showing where it opens. At the moment Ken is only capable of creating wind that pushes or pulls directly away from or towards his palms, and has a minimum level of force available to him that's fairly destructive. However with time curving wind-streams, flight and less direct object manipulation and wind control may all be possible, as might gentler and more finely tuned use of wind.

Rotary Breeze takes energy to maintain, and while Ken is more than capable of using his highest usual setting in short bursts, he can only maintain it for about 30 seconds before burning himself out and needing several hours to recover. Moreover, due to his general lack of physical fitness, his body isn't capable of handling the strain of using the full extent of his power and doing so can cause severe muscle strain in his shoulders, arms and back. In addition if a foreign object made of a material he's not able to mulch such as a piece of metal or some larger stones were to jam up Ken's rotor blades, as is especially probable during suction-based uses of the Quirk, it would shut down use of his Quirk for that hand and cause him extreme pain until it was removed.

Ken is decent at drawing and actually fairly academically smart and capable of getting good grades, as he'd rather be an artist, a writer or maybe an architect compared to being a hero. He's fairly lacking in athletic ability even after being pressured into going to Isshin. Has a latent instinctual grasp on how much force is needed to safely move objects with wind bursts, but considering he usually just throws raw force around and hasn't bothered to learn to use lower settings of Rotary Breeze, it's significantly atrophied.

Ideally I'd like for him to slowly develop past his hangups and go from somebody with no real desire to be a Pro Hero who only worked hard to get into Isshin because of his family legacy and the guilt he feels over that to a genuinely heroic character who's hopefully learned to understand what it was his mother gave up her life for at the end of her career as a Pro Hero. I'd also like to develop his powers so that they go from something destructive that he hardly ever uses and only a force for combat to something that can range from being gentle and helpful to awesomely controlled destruction. I'd also like to better his skills along with his personality and motivations.
