Artemis took a deep breath. "My cubs and I need your help King. I am Artemis, this is my son Nikko and my daughter Kalina." She said gesturing to her children. "Our old pack was taken over by an evil pride and we had to escape. We request that we can join your pride. I am willing to work as a broodmother to work for the pride. I can't protect my children out there in the wild. I would be forever in your debt." She said bowing her head softly. She could not help but notice how strong the King appeared. She could tell he was a powerful leader. Nikko and Kalina hid behind her mother nervous to be in his presence. Nikko looked up to see a small cub about his age and smile. Maybe they could be friends someday.

Artemis jumped pointing her dagger at the man who appeared from no where. "Who are you...What are you doing here?" She said not wanting to trust him at first. She knew he had just saved her life, but he was clearly no ordinary person. She could almost smell the grey death inside him. "You...you smell like one of them." She said backing up but not attacking yet. She did not understand why he saved her versus trying to kill her. "Why did you save me?" She asked as she noticed her hand start to softly shake as she kept looking around to make sure all of them were leaving. "If you plan on keeping us safe....follow us." She said unsure if she could trust the vampire but she needed to get to shelter with the rest of them. She ran towards everyone else to make it to the cabin. She knew it would be the fastest way to safety.
