NAME: Gallel "Skipjack" Samson

ABSTRACT: Haywire vanguard

DETAIL: In a world much unlike many other though in quite a few ways also very similar, war is a staple. People are born into the cause, no matter what the cause is. War here is not alike the wars we know, it is indeed fought, and harshly at that, but its much easier to kill when you know your enemy gets a do over. Life is a war game, you train, you fight you die, you respawn to fight again. How lovely is that? One such fighter in this war is "Skipjack" a reckless and confused youth who understands what he is told and until recently, very little more.

In physical appearance he looks like a lost cousin of the Adam's family. Pale skin and dark hair left in a mess he wears his standard duty black uniform. A long sleeve top made of thick material covered in a layer of hard plastic like stuff, made alike to light ware armor. Matching trousers and large black unpolished boots, with matching black gloves. He would be wearing a mask though he seems to have lost it. A small insignia of a triangle with a circle overlapping its top point is on his shoulders.

Without his home and his ability to respawn he has become a scared and unmotivated spirit, and he is forced to become more of a person then the soldier he has been. He is an uncertain firecracker. A soul of curiosity hidden under a fear and a drilled in sense duty. While he has always been known as some sort of loose canon, it is clear that he has never been as "loose" as he could be.

I work today as well, so I am unsure if I can post today, though I may try.

I also work tommorow so this could get annoying. Would it be a problem for me to catch up if I have to?

Name: Mathew Anders (Goes by his last name)

Race: Insect-man (Mantis)

Age: 26

Appearance: A bit taller then most, he stands at roughly 6'6. He has a sort of lanky looking figure, though it is often hidden by his long brown cloak. Under this garment though he is paled skinned, with sharp features. His forearms, legs and part of his abdomen and neck are covered in an hard shell like substance, though they do not deter his range of movement. Like his insect counterpart, the mantis, he does in fact have wings, though they are too light and he too heavy for him to fly, though if high enough he may perhaps glide (He has never tried). His eyes are a unsettling yellow, which he usually hides behind thick goggles as to not offend those unaware. His hair is a pale blond tinted the slightest bit green. He has thin antenna, which he also usually hides under his hood. His teeth are jagged and small, and his tongue a nearly black color. Despite all this his most striking features are his extra appendages. Two arms forming under his more human looking ones, which he keeps wrapped around his waist. They, unlike his others, have the same claw like end as a proper mantis' does. While they are quite hard they can cut through wood at best, and that is to consider that a lot of wood around these parts is brittle/rotten as can be.

Reason for joining the Outcasts: Adopted into the tribe non Insect-kind.

Skills: A fantastic shot with his custom built rifle. A fantastic though albeit "unique" inventor/tinkerer.

I plan to create a character here, but I would like to know a few things if it isn't too much trouble.

Will we only be in the cities or will our characters return to the tribe at times?

May we have multiple characters? I plan not to have two dwellers but some regular tribe members and one dweller.

EDIT: Also is it safe to assume magic does not exist in this world? At is doesn't seem mentioned anywhere.

(Sorry, I prefer descriptions) Standing at nearly 5'3 Songbird is a lithe creature. She is pale skinned and has a clear complexion. She has a heart shaped face with a defined jaw. She has an average build, not entirely skinny, nor strong, nor thin. Her shoulders are close and curved softly, and her hair is long, coming down to her waist. It is startlingly blond, nearing a white color. Her eyes are a soft and warm brown, though they hold a confusion and underlining sadness.

In one word, she is average. Songbird is a person who tries her best to stay very neutral, and avoid conflict in general. She likes to agree as it is easier and often safer. While she may seem like she has no thought of her own because of this, she is actually the type to overthink. She imagines all possible outcomes of a choice and runs through every one. This leads her to wasting time and being indecisive, and thus going with simple low risk answers. Though by the same token if pressured she may make a brash or reckless outburst. A scared mouse that needs to evolve, she is looking out for herself, and that is all.

[Biography]

Living a dead end job after dropping out of college, she housed with her high-school friend and worked in a grocery store as a cashier. Failing to get her bachelor of design she gave up on any dream job and hoped to simply move up enough on the work ladder to support herself. Single, mostly by choice, she lived for herself and looked forwards to indulging with movies and games on the weekends. Yet again to describe her she was living an average and plain life. Though her inner spark of whimsy and thirst for greatness is not completely snuffed. She passed away when her friend ran a red light, and they collided with a semi-truck.

Finding patterns, analyzing and taking them apart mentally. She is also good at simply observing and taking a lot from very little.

[Ability]

"Acceleration and aversion to self destruction" She is able to in bursts, increase her speed exponentially. This is not always used in running. She may punch fantastically fast, and even grow hair at a fast rate. It also applies to her thought, meanig she can for small periods think much faster then usual. As we all know speed plus mass equals force, and if a fragile human was to increase their damage output by hitting at blinding speed, they would likely explode their fist with the force. This backlash does not apply to Songbird. If hit by something while moving fast, she of course is hurt. Though she does not destroy herself by hitting something fast. That being said she is extremely fatigued by using this ability, in any form.

[Weakness]

After speeding a part of herself up, she must enter a cool down period. Nothing comes free. So while she at first is extremely fast, in exchange some equal amount of her body must be slowed. If her fist moves fast for a single punch, perhaps her foot may move extremely slow and lag behind later. She has no control over which part is used in this exchange.
