Current That isekai idea works until you take into account the advanced part and include things like AI, brain machine interfaces, etc. Knowledge can just be downloaded.

Well have fun in this thread while you can. The downward descent into arguments begins. Mainly from one side but eh, that's all it takes for chaos to start really.
Yeah this will definitely end in a thread lock. I can already see the beginnings of a debate forming.

I highly doubt this thread will end in anything but a lock. Nothing against the OP or anything, just a feeling...
Right, so I feel like this is pretty much done at this point.

The Blathriin-Va

Location: Blathriin-Va - Bridge.
Star Date: Unknown.
Communications: N/A.

Silent. Everything was silent as the golden form of the Va slowly drifted alongside the underbelly of the much larger Venetor, whose engines they had disabled sometime earlier with a few well placed shots. Turning away from the viewport, Yiithren looked over at his first mate.

"Is everything ready?" He asked from over his shoulder.

She nods. "All systems green, Strevrols is ready and so is the crew. Awaiting your command."

"Good. Engage maneuvers on my mark." He began, returning his attention to the viewport. "Three... two... one... mark."

As soon as the word had left his mouth the ships engines roared to life with a deep thrum, sending the Va rocketing through one of the holes in the downed Venetor. Keeping their weapons silent till they reached its shields, the crew on the bridge watched as the three ships rotated their way and began charging up their beam weapons once more, most likely hoping to end the smaller craft in one shot as they had the Leviathan. But unfortunately for these primitives, the captain of the Va didn't intend on dying today. Standing motionless as the invisible shield before them slowly rippled and tore under the strain of their enemies combined beams, Yiithren nodded slightly to Kurqruik who sent a series of commands out over the Blathriin's intercom systems, those being evade and destroy.

"Punch through their shields with the Null Void Beam first, then follow up with our Matter Disintegrators." He said, as the Venetors failing shields finally gave out, the stress from the attack overloading its already weakened generator as the Empire ships gestalt beam raced towards them from the darkness. The beam was fast, but the crew of the Va had both size and skill on their side, letting them move out of its way just enough for it to graze their shields, wearing them down to 65% of their original strength.

"Aim directly for their guns. Even if we don't destroy the hull right off the bat, we can still remove their ability to fire." The captain of the Va continued as the purplish hue of the Null Void Beam lit up the darkness around them in rhythmic succession, leaving three jagged tears where invisible fields had once been, through which the acidic green bolts of high powered energy arced ramming into each of the three ships cannons respectively, sending large plumes of flame, which died out quickly from the lack of oxygen, and shrapnel spiraling out into the void. Ordering another volley be unleashed, Yiithren and Kurqruik watched as the rest of the ships hulls split into thousands of tiny pieces which then went flying off into the darkness as well, slowly fading from view.

"Report." Yiithren said, his voice echoing across the silent bridge.

"Shields at 65% and holding sir." Kurqruik said from somewhere off to his left. "Other than that all systems are optimal."

"Good." He remarked, turning away from the viewport. "And the other ship? The one we just left?"

"Ripped in half sir. The beam seems to have shot straight through it after we began our approach." She explained, looking up from a nearby console.

Yiithren nodded. "Excellent. Our allies should have no problem dealing with what's left." He said, turning away from the viewport, the captain of the Va strode to a slightly raised platform behind him and tapped a small circular symbol on the floor beneath him with a tentacle, causing a ornately curved chair to rise up. Settling his mass in the seat, Yiithren rested his head against the sea shell like back of the chair and closed his eyes as his crew carefully positioned the craft away from the main fight, opting instead to recharge their shields from the ambient dark energy as their captain returned to the waking world, his forced hibernation having ended, and began to study all the information they had received thus far.

A warning siren let out a low drone, similar to that of a whales call, that echoed throughout the ships interior, alerting the entire crew of the new ships that had just appeared out of nowhere right in front of them. Yiithren, thinking quickly, gave orders for evasive maneuvers and had Kurqruik send word to the gunners to begin engaging the ships closest to them.

"Shields at 90% sir." Kurqruik called out, briefly taking her attention off of the interior communications console.

"Continue evading and get me Strevrols." Yiithren said, watching bright flashes illuminate the darkness around them before dying out.

"Yes sir." His first mate replied, turning back to the console. "Strevrols? The captain wishes to speak to you."

"I'm a bit busy making sure our engines keep running here." He said, almost sounding annoyed. "But I suppose I can spare a few moments for idle chit-chat."

Kurqruik nodded, turning round to face Yiithren. "Sir?"

Yiithren turns to face her, nodding slightly as he shuffles over to the console. "Thank you, I'll take it from here."

"Strevrols?" He asks, leaning in somewhat. "I need you to do something for me."

"What exactly?" Strevrols asked.

"Do you think you could engage a jump?" The captain of the Va asked, casting a glance over to the ships viewport as another blast was deflected by its shields.

"A jump? Why? And where? If you hadn't noticed we're in the middle of a combat zone right now. There isn't exactly time for me to set up the proper coordinates if escape is the goal..."

"Don't worry, we're not going far. Just to the interior of that ships shields we punched a hole through. We can use what's left of it's hull and shields as a temporary barrier so long as we stay in its blind spots. Our guns never completely annihilated it remember?" Yiithren explained as the craft lurched slightly, its artificial gravity generator quickly compensating for the sudden movement.

"Ah, clever. Very clever. Alright, I'll get the drive ready and the coordinates primed. Just make sure our pilots keep us in one piece long enough for me get it done." Strevrols replied, cutting communications a few seconds later. Yiithren turned and moved back to the viewport, giving orders for the ships pilots to continue evading enemy fire as the Psi Jump Drive was primed for use. Resuming his place at the front of the craft.

"This might just be the craziest thing you've done." Kurqruik remarked.

Yiithren didn't respond. He simply clasped his tentacles behind his back and stared out into the warzone beyond their small craft, waiting for jump confirmation. It took a few minutes, but Strevrols voice eventually came through the bridges interior com system.

"All systems green. Jump drive is ready for use."

Yiithrne made a small burbling sound, his eyes narrowing slightly.

"Good." He said, his voice echoing throughout the room. "Engage jump drive in three... two... one... mark."

A low hum spread throughout the Va as it was enveloped in an aura of violet tinged lightning, before it suddenly jumped, appearing as though it had always been in its current location. That being beneath what remained of the Venetor they had assaulted earlier. Finding a moment to breath, Yiithren and crew took this rare moment of peace to plan out their next angle of attack.

Yiithren remained motionless as communications came and went, before he heard the words he'd been waiting for...

"All ships, you are free to engage."
Jason Erthos

Sending out several orders, Yiithren had the Va maneuvered as close as they could possibly get without being noticed by the larger craft. Ordering Mihraan to keep a close eye on their sensors, just to ensure they weren't firing on the ship the others were boarding, Yiithren stood at the viewport of his ship, which was currently overlooking a silent void of chaotic flashes, before looking over at Kurqruik.

"First mate Kurqruik-" He said, his tentacles clasped behind his back. "-have all gunnery crews open fire on the two ships that still have shields. Use the Null Void Beam first, then follow up with the Matter Disintegrators. I want those ships reduced to dust."

Kurqruik nodded, striding over to the same communications panel as before. Activating it yet again, she leaned in closer and relayed the command. Then, after a brief pause, she gave the command to open fire and turned back to the view port just in time to see a beam of purple energy streak across the darkness and slam into the enemies shields, creating a rather sizeable gap in them through which several bolts of orange energy flew. The matter disintegrators. And from the looks of things, it seemed as though they were doing their job. Several of the opposing ships surface layers had already been eaten through, leaving nothing but gaping chasms into space where metal and machinery had once been.

Kurqruik made a low burbling sound as she watched another volley of bolts fly through the opening and make contact with the ships hull.

If only those poor savages knew what they had gotten themselves into...

Yiithren, Kurqruik, and Strevrols had all returned to the Va safely, whereupon they each returned to their respective posts, well sort of. Strevrols had actually stalked back to his post, if such a word could even be used to describe the angry shuffling motion his tentacles made as he headed back to the ships engine room, completely ignoring everyone else around him, Yiithren especially, though no one else besides the captain seemed to take notice. The ship continued operating regardless of their little bout on the Resurgence, however, exactly as it was supposed to. The data from the meeting had been scanned, logged, and translated. Lathoor had already plotted out a jump based on the most recent communications called out by Cathere, and the respective crew members had already been placed into the neural harvesters.

Everything was ready.

Then three ships and several secret communications from Supreme Commander Erthos later found Yiithren and his crew floating, in near total silence, across from the hulking forms of the three Venator class ships that had just dropped in from Hyperspace. No one said or did anything as the craft slowly moved towards them. They did not fire. Did not engage, even with the clear shots they did have on the larger craft. The crew of the Va simply held their breath...

And waited.
