"Halt!" The mechanical voice stopped Kade dead in his tracks. He had almost made it. So close, yet so far. He could make out the reflection of several clone troopers behind him in one of the nearby windows and he swallowed hard. He had made it this far by not using any of his force skills, every instinct warned him against it. Now, it seemed, he might need the help.

"Turn around!"

He turned and dropped to his knees at once, a datapad clutched to his chest. "Please don't shoot! I just work here!" It didn't take much acting to inject a significant amount of fear into his voice. He had never felt more alone, more confused, or more vulnerable, in his entire life.

"State your name." The clone officer had stepped forward, his blaster looming large in Kades face. He could feel a sweat break out on his brow. Moment of truth. He prepared to lash out with the force if needed. Part of him screamed a warning, telling him it would ensure his death, but better to live a little longer than not at all.

"My n-name..." He stuttered, and not on purpose. "My name is Dikyrn Tokra, I work in technical services here in the temple... Look!" He thrust his datapad at the trooper who very nearly shot him out of reflex. He took the datapad and taped the screen. Kade face swam into view but none of the information on it was his, it was that of his undercover persona that had allowed him to move about more or less unnoticed. He was gambling that the Clones did not have access to the Jedi databanks yet and the false identity might protect him long enough to escape.

"Here, check him." The officer passed the datapad back to another trooper who quickly began to tape away at the screen for a moment. There was a strange silence, broken by the distant sounds of blaster fire that grew ever quieter. Kade knew his colleagues were losing, he could feel their pain and disbelief as they died. He channelled the sorrow he felt into his own emotions.

"Please, I just work here. I don't even know whats happening, I just want to go home!" He sank further to his knees and buried his face in his hands. At every moment he resisted the urge to reach out with the force. To use it could only endanger him now.

"He checks out." The buzz of the troopers voice broke in on his thoughts and he felt a small sliver of relief. The datapad was held out by the trooper and he took it carefully.

"On your way then." The officer, having lost interest in the supposed technician, waved Kade away without a second thought; he ignored the babbled thanks that followed.

Still muttering "Thank you", Kade hurried away toward a small sally port exit. He suspected that whoever, or whatever, had made this attack possible would easily have the front doors covered. His footsteps sounded loud in his own ears as he began to run. The tremors in the force were growing less and less. To many were dying. He had no idea what to think, no idea what was happening, he only knew that he had to survive.

Another @gorgenmast special, how exciting! I'll try and turn my hand at a decent character. Is it safe, for comparison sake, to think the Undead are somewhat similar to those from World of Warcraft? They certainly have some rebellious types in there.

I saw the bit where you had other races at one point. How do you feel about a human Crusade landing on the shores and taking a foot hold from which they attack the undead?

So, writing my first post. Is it safe to assume Anakin is capable of using the force to sense other Jedi? I'm writing my dude escaping from the temple at the moment.

Age: 33

Species: Falleen/Human (Coruscant)

Appearance: Kade appears more Human than he does Falleen with pink/white skin, slight ridging around his cheek and brow, and no scales to make note of. He exudes the pheromones common with his race but lacks the ability to alter the colour of his skin in any way. Nor does he have the long fingers and huge nails of his kin, though he makes an effort at times to grow them. He stands closer to six feet, a gift from his mothers people. Many on both sides of his species consider him to have been blessed with the best parts of both races, and he agrees. Despite being incredibly fit, he is no larger in size than your average human male in stature. His eyes are purple so he often favours purple and black clothing to match.

Lightsaber: Kade has built a basic silver lightsabre with green blade.

Skills: Working as agents to the Jedi High Council, a Jedi Investigators is highly certified to work with law enforcement agencies in tracking down criminals and uncovering hidden and obscure threats to the galaxy and the Galactic Republic. Appointed by the Council, Kade had been charged with rooting out threats via the skills he had learned in his law enforcement role, and his Force abilities.

Often times, Kade works completely independent of official agencies when going deep undercover, infiltrating organizations under suspicion, and using guile, deception or even force in addition to detective skills to achieve his goals. Working from within, Kade has been successful in neutralizing the enemy before galactic conflict could arise. Due to the secretive nature of his work, few are aware of the success he has achieved. He has conducted intelligence gathering operations on known criminal syndicates, pirate groups, assassin organizations, as well as individual criminals and report his findings to the Council.

Force Abilities: The Core powers are the first powers a Jedi learns, and directly affect his/her own body or objects without actually harming or benefiting anything (except for Push, which could be used against enemies). They are common among all Jedi and Sith. Kade has proven Mastery in skills that allow him to move through an area unseen by effecting the minds of those around him, and to discern, or even read the minds, of suspects.

Weaknesses: Kade has been living the solo operative life for nearly twenty years, a task he once took to with extreme enthusiasm. However, as can sometimes happen during undercover operations, he has sampled the dark side and done "things" in the name of the mission he is not proud of. Some were to protect his cover, others because he has very little oversight in his role. He struggles regularly discerning between what needs to be done, and what should be done.

Character History: Kade does not have a terribly exciting youth. He grew up on Coruscant and was recruited into the Jedi Order by Plo Koon, who would become his Master, at the tender age of six. He proved to have enough skill to pass the trials and would eventually be recognized for his mischievous nature and ability to wield the force as a cloak from which he could evade his peers.

That skillset was recognized by the Council and he was sent for training as a Jedi Sentinel where he excelled as an investigator. Originally paired with a partner in Republic Intelligence he joined regular investigations on friendly worlds, rooting our crimelords and possible terrorist elements. With the justice system being what could be described as "liberal", he encountered any number of troublemakers on a regular basis and converted many of them into agents who provided him information on other operations.

His actions were highlighted to the Jedi Council, and leadership in Republic Intelligence. In an effort to capitalize on the young Jedis abilities, he was assigned to a covert unit whose task it was to infiltrate and dismantle large scale terrorist or revolutionary groups within Republic territory. At this, he proved to have no equal. Over the last twenty years he has successfully dismantled, through personal action, or information obtained, prevented no less than a dozen would be assassins, terrorist attacks, or subversion attempts.

The very nature of his position makes him a virtually unknown face around the Temple. Certainly he is nothing like Plo Koon, a famous General and revered figure within the Republic. His commanders have previously told him that no one will truly know how many lives he has saved.

Order 66: Kade was in the refresher when Order 66 was executed. An inglorious place to be, but it likely saved his life. It was rare for him to be back in the capital and in between assignments, but the Force moves in mysterious ways. He was able to evade detection through his training and by convincing clone troopers he was just an IT specialist who had been working on the building. Unable to reach his ship, he has fled into the deeper reaches of Coruscant and is debating what to do next.
