As Chester watched the van head into the distance, he sighed. He didn't think it was the right thing to do, but he didn't get to make the laws. He was just the enforcer, Lorne might have not have been the police, but they were the law as far as this city concerned. It pained him to have to think about that, as he opened the door to his police cruiser, and took the driver seat. He removed his helmet, and lit up a cigarette with a shaky sigh as he brought it to lips. "You mad at me?" He asked his partner, his partner shook his head, and chuckled. "When they said that you were a stickler for following the law, I knew what I was getting into. Though maybe you should lighten up my dude." Vickers said, with a laugh.
"I'll lighten up when crime disappears for good. Besid-" He was cut off by a sharp burst of speech from his radio. "All units in the vicinity, this is dispatch. Unit L-3 has picked up on known parahuman, and church of para enforcer. Alias known as Brutus. Lorne assets have been notified, but they are forty-five minutes out. Proceed with caution. Out." With their orders given, Chester gripped the wheel of the cruiser, and sped off. They were the closest to the scene, and they'd be there in less than five minutes if they kept their current speed up.

When they finally arrived on scene, the subject had gone down an alleyway. As they approached the mouth of the alleyway there was a loud. Crunch. As the robotic unit scent after the subject was crushed, and thrown down the alleyway. Throwing sparks as it slid across the concrete. The two officers looked at each other, and got out of their cruiser. Brutus was a large man, made of solid stone, and an absolute brute to match his reputation as one of the most brutal of the churches enforcers. He didn't bother to hear their spiel about giving in, he charged right for them. Throwing an overhand fist right for Vickers, who jumped out of the way. The strength behind that blow left an imprint the size of his fist in the concrete, what followed the fist was a swipe with the back of his hand toward Vickers slamming the man into the wall, and knocking him unconscious.

That left the two parahumans squaring off with each other. Chester fired a quick burst from his pistol, but the rounds just bounced off the mans hide. Brutus just chuckled, but Chester thought fast firing his pistol at the ladder lock of a fire escape dropping the heavy ladder on the mans head. It slammed into his head, doing some damage to the man indicated by his grunt, but not enough to knock him out, or bring him down. "Lucky shot." The enforcer said, with a growl. But this time Chester decided to go all out, ricocheting his shots off walls, signs, or anything he could to hit the man. He had to have some sort of weakness, some sort of Achilles heel, but his shots never found it. But it did reveal something to his enemy. "You're a parahuman as well, the irony to this situation is palpable." Brutus laughed, as if let in on some grand joke. But Chester didn't laugh, he fired a burst at the mans head, who flinched when the bullets hit his forehead. That's when it hit Chester, the enforcers eyes were exposed they were his weak point, if he could get a shot through his eyes it'd be done, over with. Brutus must of realized this as well, as he thought of a quick escape plan. He ran toward Vickers, and delivered a full force punch into the unconscious man. The blow would shatter the mans ribs, collapse his lungs, and probably shatter his skull, then Brutus took off running leaving him with the option to chase, or to take care of his partner.

Chester chose to remain with his partner, getting on his helmet radio. "Officer down, we need a medic here!" He shouted into his radio, but when back up arrived they didn't grab their trauma kits, instead they took off down the alleyway to try to find Brutus no doubt looking to curry favor, or gain a promotion by bringing him in. It was during this that Chester felt his partners pulse fade away, with crushed ribs probably perforating his lungs. CPR would of been near useless, there would be no saving his partner. When paramedics arrived on scene, they confirmed what he thought. Putting Vickers into the back of their ambulance, and driving his body probably to the nearest hospital morgue. The Lorne agents arrived shortly after, finding a shell shocked Chester sitting on the hood of his cruiser. "Detective Jonas, we have lost the parahuman due to your incompetence. He has gone off scanners, and our drones cannot find him. They will begin prowling the sewers, but we doubt we will find him with the head start he has. We at Lorne are disappointed. So know this we will be watching you detective. You might have caught two parahumans today, and being on the scene with a third is highly suspicious. Good day." With that the agent turned, and walked away. Leaving Chester alone with his thoughts, wondering what he was going to do next, what would happen now?
Sarah Wilkes - Boarding Action

The ride up the lift, felt a little long for her liking. "Anyone in this universe ever hear of elevator music?" She joked, when nobody laughed she just took it contently to sitting there silently, when the doors sprung open. As they finally pressed into the bridge proper they found it cleared of enemies except the orange armored merc she had saw in the hangar, and what she could only assume was the commanding officer of the ship, how the merc could tell who was in charge with all these dull grey uniforms in the same room, Sarah would probably never know. Her ears perked up when they mentioned blowing out the window, and entering vacuum. Before she could even tell them to wait to prepare, one of the smaller creatures that came in with the alien, rushed forward setting an explosive on the window.

There was some shouting, and she was almost pushed off her feet by the larger armored mercenary. But somehow with about a second to spare Sarah managed to throw up a biotic dome around the room, the other two biotics with her adding into it. Not only did any shrapnel from the bridge bounce off of it, managing to make the dome flicker for a second, but it stabilized. O2 would be sealed in the dome, and as long as they weren't in it for long they had plenty of oxygen stored in it. She probably couldn't be heard over the sound of air escaping the bridge, so she mimed moving out of the window, and tried to mime her best for them to keep up with her as she stepped toward their exit hole, and into the inky blackness of space.
Travis Elliot - The Glasgow

The new ships arrived out of nowhere, and attacked the Daedalus. The Glasgow had to be quick to react, if they lost The Daedalus they lost their ticket out of the system. They'd be sitting ducks without them, and dying in an unknown universe didn't exactly seem pleasant to him, and probably not to his crew either. "Calculate shots, and use the GARDIAN lasers. Move in closer to our friendly." He ordered, his crew members jumping to follow his orders, to the captain of The Glasgow things just got very interesting.

Sarah Wilkes - Aboard enemy vessel - Situation FUBAR

The group had managed to push onto the bridge, but then the ship shook. Radio messages from The Glasgow began to relay into their feed that new contacts had entered the system. With things going to hell in a hand basket, Sarah just sighed relaying orders through her helmet feed to any personnel still on board. "Anyone able to make it back to the shuttle, get back there now all, those who can't report to the bridge we're hitching a ride. Objectives are to be considered fulfilled until proven otherwise. Stay alive, Wilkes out." She turned to her gathered allies. "Mind if we hitch a ride, don't know if our shuttles can get here fast enough to get us off the bridge." She asked the assembled races.
Chester sat at his desk in the detective bullpen of police headquarters. Filling out paperwork, furiously writing the incident report from today's arson of the donut shop. The guys around the station were pissed that he had to hand over the perp, but at the end of the day when it comes to the Lorne corporation he couldn't do much. They owned every police officer on the force, and to fight them openly would only make him a target to his superiors that had been bought off, which was essentially all of them. You don't so much as go digging into the Lorne corporations garbage without someone knowing, and wanting your life, and your badge. So until he could find a good way to expose them without being known, he'd have to play their game. But his desire to change the police station, and how people viewed paras was still heavily on his mind. He'd do anything to make these streets a little safer, and to make sure his sister could live a happy, and pleasant life while she still remained on this earth.

All of his thoughts eventually made him start to worry, so he reached for his phone as soon as he brought it up there was a hiss of static, and a voice. "You are not alone." It spoke, and for a brief moment there was a calm set of panic. He thought he had been found out, but when he looked up the other officers in the bullpen were also freaking out their work had been interrupted by this voice, and for some it had unnerved him just as much as himself, he could imagine it would be creepy for a para to appear on your screen.

What happened next was only a matter of timing, as the police station went into lockdown. They had this procedure put in place after one of the officers had been found out to be a para, and fought his way out with fire. He had caused enough damage for them to put in a procedure whenever they thought there was a parahuman threat to the station, it probably wouldn't be lifted until they found out they were in the clear. But the check was very short, as they had discovered that the message had played city wide, and apparently dispatch was getting calls full of people complaining about their broadcasts being interrupted, their holovids, their internet. "Fucking para scum, just making us work harder." A detective behind him muttered, but Chester tried his best to ignore the comment.

But things did eventually calm down, dispatch eventually did stop getting those calls, and if it didn't clog the line it would of been hilarious. But then it happened, something to shake him out of the dull repetitive work of writing his reports. "Eyy CJ got something on the horn for ya, bunch of rats dropped a skeleton in an officers car. Took his donuts as well, from the other... Donut shop, the less delicious one. DNA testing of the bone marrow on our victim says he's pretty high up the chain, so we're looking for fresh eyes." One of the detectives asked him, Chester recalled his last name as Vickers. "Sure let me get the ol helmet on, and we'll head out." The pair of detectives were quick to get ready in their full body armor, and helmet get up, their weapons were checked out from the armory, and their cruiser checked out from the garage, then it was as quick as getting into the cruiser, and leaving.

The ride to the scene of the crime had been a short, silent one. When they got out of the cruiser they found the cruiser in question had been cordoned off, and the robotic units had been sent in to keep the peace. The silent sentinels didn't even so much as glance, or stop the officers. They had everything they needed to know instantly, so they knew who the real officers were. "So our witness is a cop, and all he had to offer was that these bones just dropped into his lap from a bunch of rats, who then proceeded to steal his donuts. Camera footage confirms this story, but does not confirm where the victim was originally, or who killed him. Because I doubt a bunch of rats would attack, and kill a full grown man. So we essentially have nothing, but the brass wants everyone who is available on this case, as this high profile of a death going unpunished would mean some very important heads on a chopping block." Vickers' stated, much of it was the obvious, but seeing as now he was on the scene any detective who didn't solve it would essentially find themselves also on the chopping block for their failure. So everyone here was bound by an unspoken oath to find out what happened. The only obvious thing about this crime scene was that whoever had done it was trying to send a message, but what kind of message remained to be unseen, but Chester didn't doubt it was one of the more extreme gangs that had taken to the streets. But with a sigh, he resigned himself to more work, and looking around the crime scene.

Sarah Wilkes Aboard the Imperial Venerator

They were making good progress through the ship, but the more they pushed on the thicker the barriers, and the better trained the enemy was to hold their ground. The fighting became more brutal, and the probability of casualties increased. The other team leaders appeared to be talking about some kind of plan, and Sarah forced herself to join in. "We can throw a barrier on you, and your uhhh... Little guy." She said nodding at the jedi, and the unggoy standing around. "That should allow you to take enough hits to get close enough to break their position, or one of us can tail you with a biotic dome. Could probably fit a few guys in there if we squeeze in together." She continued, occasionally accentuating her words with a burst of rifle fire down the hallway.
@Lord of EvilIt looks good, but i'm gonna also let Sep review it when he's ready.
@Lord of Evil You're missing one thing, I suggest you read the rules.
Sarah Wilkes aboard Imperial vessel

As the assembled crews pushed through the ship, Sarah followed behind them occasionally throwing up a biotic barrier then dropping it so the marines she brought with her could open fire on the imperial clones who strayed to close, the effort to keep it up was immense but anytime she got tired she'd just swap out with another biotic capable soldier, effectively making deployable cover along the tight corridors of the ship. The blaster fire would strike the shield, and be dispersed, the shield would be lowered, and the sharp rapport of the M-8 avenger would follow the dropping of the shield, and they'd push forward they had practiced this stuff hundreds of times, of course the occasional shot would get through, and while their armor wasn't exactly equipped to deal with laser fire their shields would hold as long at they didn't get struck consecutively.

The crew of The Resurgence pushed ahead being led by a man with a sword that appeared to be made of some kind of laser, or perhaps plasma. But with the way he wielded it he cut with ease through the imperial soldiers, and it appeared the aliens from the larger ship had a need to prove themselves as well with the way they went reckless cutting through the corridors with their energy swords, and from what she could tell they fired super heated plasma at least judging by the impact sites. She had seen similar things with collector weapons, when they had been used sparingly with reaper forces. But she couldn't be too sure, of course she went over, and offered her support.

As they made their way through the ship, she found the collection of troopers getting thicker, and thicker. It got to the point where the imperials were setting up makeshift barricades for cover. One had been pumping out heavy fire so she had to think fast, she had her replacement put up a biotic barrier, then jumped using her biotic abilities to make her virtually weightless maximizing her jump then she brought the gravitational fields down. There was a rush as she fell to the ground at such a fast pace, and with enough biotic strength behind it to create a large shock wave in all directions destroying the barricades, throwing the troopers into the walls, or each other at such fast speeds that the insides of their armor would probably look very, very messy. The whole ordeal left her a little tired, but allowed the rest of the teams to push up.
