| {O C C U P A T I O N} |Honey is going through what we call her quarter life crisis before she has even hit her quarter life. Recently she quit her comfortable job as a waitress at the Skylight Diner and is now a cocktail server at Club Delirium, primarily the VIP section, but her duties are not limited to the upstairs. Her brother thinks the night scene doesn't suit her because she looks like a kid (and kinda is a kid). Also, she'll get sexually harassed on the daily because that's what people do to the waiting staff at any nightclub. He hopes to help find her a career that suits her better but since she hasn't gone to school, their options are limited.
She does paint excellently, but she doesn't think she can make a living as a painter. She could potentially get something in Broadway, like becoming a costume designer, since she obtained their mother's skills of sewing, knitting, and crocheting, but she'll need to start working on getting her degree or certificate NOW. Essentially, Honey is really good with her hands but her scattered brain doesn't make her see what she is capable of.
Her dream job though? To be a wedding planner! She's obsessed with weddings and if she could, she would crash them all.
Light bulb for JD: Get her a job at a bridal boutique. 1) She can take part in making someone, the bride, happy. 2) She loves weddings. 3) It'll help her get a feel of the wedding business and maybe she can even use her sewing skills.
Hey! This could lead to her wanting to start her own business or something. Anything but a nightclub would be AWESOME.
A visionary. Aspiring filmmaker. Has his own YouTube channel with followers, though the main reason why they watch his stuff is for the comedy and for the skaters/bikers/daredevils, but eventually he wants to branch out into a more artistic direction. Stupid tech-savvy and a film junkie. Cinematographer, musically inclined, programmer, screenplay writer, editor, director extraordinaire! Maybe one day he'd make it big in Showbiz, but for now, he's trying to make a film and submit it to a festival to get noticed and make bank (or an award, whichever). His parents said he was a genius, but he wasted his smarts on weed.
How he ACTUALLY makes money: He DJ's at the club his sister just got a job at. DJ name: Limitless. He found out after she got the job that she used his name as a reference. He isn't okay with her working at Delirium and wants to keep an eye on her.
| {A P P E A R A N C E} |These pair of siblings were definitely blessed with the 'privileged' look. They are as white as they come and display the essence of summer in their hair. Warm, golden, thick, natural. Hair that turns a dull brown at the roots. For the woman, she lightens her strands by product every two months, causing it to shine during the day and add to her already lively demeanor. Her brother, who is taller than her by a fair amount, he standing at 6'4", and she at 5'4", also uses a small amount of product so that his hair can retain its place when he doesn't wear a cap of some sort; a hairstyle that isn't much, kind of unkempt, but appealing enough to impress potential lovers.
While he has ocean blue eyes, deep enough to get lost in, full of thought and lightheartedness, her's smiles constantly, big doe-eyed, and are a mixture of light and dark. The shade of latte, with a gold ring hung around the irises.
As for their preferred style: Both like to be comfortable, but what makes her comfortable is vastly different than what makes him comfortable. They will dress for the occasion if they absolutely must, suit up and all, but if they are simply hanging out and doing their own thing, Honey can either look like a flower child (flowing, floral dresses, sweaters far too big for her frame, carefree bo-ho accessories), or like a high school girl (jumper dresses, knee socks, blouses, etc). Unless it's night time and she's waiting at the club or going out with her two girlfriends, Mia Daniels and Tina Fulton. Then, and only then, having taken advice from her more... 'stylish' friends, she wears attire suited for the night that showcase her best features. She isn't fond of wearing too much make-up, but she doesn't mind her girlfriends dolling her up. Over the past years of waiting, a working girl ever since she was fifteen, she's learned that make-up helps attract customers.
So yeah. There's that.
As for JD. He's a bit more simple than his sister. Tees. Jeans of different colors. Hats. More so fitted caps than anything else. Hoodies. He has one jean jacket and one leather jacket. Sneaks that always look brand new (he keeps 'em clean) and a necklace. He has two specifically, like his jackets. One with a silver antler and another with a small coined moon. Both with reason and meaning, which unfortunately he doesn't share often. Usually, his method of getting ready is, throw on some clothes and hope it works. It usually does.
What stands out for him is his scent. A sweet and salty blend, which makes him not only delectable, but also masculine. While his sister prefers being natural, only really using coconut lotion to keep her skin from cracking, he uses a cologne with notes of sea water, mint leaves, lemon zest, tonka bean, amber, vanilla, cedarwood, vetiver, and oak moss; something his dad created and uses himself, as a perfume designer and all. As such, JD followed suit.
Hey, if this scent won his mom over, maybe the same magic would happen for him too. Not for his mom, obviously. Or he'll have no strings attached and all his lovers will remember his scent. In addition to his scent, JD has one hell of a nose and can smell food from a mile away, as well as rancid smells but that's besides the point. If his friends are cooking, they best hook him up. If there is one thing the Duke siblings can do, they can eat. Regardless of their differing size, they are the type to completely clean their plate and some.

But it's still wrong of her for even being sexually attracted to him! She really wants to find the man (woman?) of her dreams and WHAT IF IT'S HIM. Or any of JD's friends for that matter!
While Honey has had a secret crush on his roomie, JD has had a long term crush on
Amy, but she's been practically married since he's known her and doesn't think he's up to par for her. Because of this, he hasn't pursued anything or been that guy who is 'Mr-Steal-Yo-Girl' because that isn't him. Fun fact, he hasn't heard much about her relationship problems, since he's usually doing his own thing around NYC and isn't kept in the loop when it comes to the girls and their relationships (part of him avoids knowing about Amy's love life).

↠ Loneliness and being a virgin. Honey has a hard time being by herself at night because then she is left alone to think of how she doesn't have anyone by her bed side. On top of that, she's afraid of people judging her for being a VIRGIN.
His weight is a sensitive subject since he was bullied for being fat when he was younger. He doesn't show his pictures before he came to NY and hit puberty. Might've cut himself, but not on his wrists and arms.

| {P E R S O N A L I T Y} | Lovably adorable/dorky - Naïve - Fantastical - Endearing
Honey and JD have plenty of community service on their belt. Their grandmother was big on helping the Church out, constantly taking her grandchildren along for the ride to assist at soup kitchens or have them donate all their unused clothes to the poor. Just because they weren't stressing financially, doesn't mean they were allowed to take advantage of their luxuries. Their grandmother wanted them to be humble and know how it feels to work for what they wanted.
A little weirdo ever since she was little, Honey has the tendency to be extremely sporadic, happy-go-lucky, and can be easily distracted by other people's business. Her grandma raised her to be a traditional lady but that flew out the door when they realized Honey couldn't be anything else but herself. One note worthy thing about this sunny girl is she has a fairly large collection of books. Furniture is hardly noticeable in her bedroom because books are in any place a book can be (ie. on top of her bedframe, on her shelves, on her desk, on her dresser, etc).
Even if Honey is more of the book type, the girl that sits at a park and reads, she enjoys dancing for fun and has attended some classes, both for exercise and to simply just learn. What she wants to pursue in terms of career: She has no idea! But she'll build on her skills until she figures it out. Maybe she was meant to paint for the rest of her life for leisure, or maybe the nightclub life actually does suit her! You never know until you try. Another fun fact about her is, she never backs down from a challenge. Truth and dare is always fun with Honey. One can say she is easily swayed if she likes you, which isn't hard since she wears her heart on her sleeves and sees the best in everyone. But that's where JD comes into the picture.
The big, smart, and overprotective brother.
Energetic and determined, JD takes on every day with a positive smile and has quite the nonchalant demeanor, which makes it seem like he has no care in the world (and yet, that's the exact opposite). He feels the need to assume the role as "dad" for his sister, since their parents tend to enjoy the life of traveling, disappearing for long extensive amounts of time while they stayed at their grandmother's in CT .
For the most part, he's carefree and doesn't seem to let things get him down, or at least he doesn't want others to worry about him. When he's truly set, he gets the job done. His work ethic is impeccable when he isn't in play mode. Problem with that is, he always is in play mode.
His overall passion is filmmaking. He's saved up his money over the years to purchase a DSLR and started taking Youtube serious after he and his sister moved back in with their parents in New York, New York (and eventually he moved out to live on his own in Manhattan; she still needs to). Fortunately for him, Christmas and Birthdays provided him with his other equipment, since his family wanted to build on his interests. There were plenty signs that he was a genius and could learn things quicker than the average person, but they didn't want him to do anything that he didn't want to do, which ultimately squandered his desire to do anything but creative. Now he simply just wants to laugh and make people laugh (or cry even, but not because of him, but because of his work).
It takes a true, personable, lovable personality to get noticed on the web and lucky for him, he is a character and never fails at making his audience laugh. Aside from his love for visual images, he also can be kind of a geek, who might be into the table top scene and collecting cards. No, seriously, just normal cards. He has a shit ton from when people traveled and sent him some, as well as him buying his own decks of cards. Might even taught himself some magic tricks, just for the hell of it. He's extremely athletic and knows the neighborhood off the top of his head and can fight if someone messes with his friends and family, so that's good enough for him; his flaw is his attitude and seeming like he rarely takes anything serious.
Last but not least, both Honey and JD are extremely competitive, to a scary extent. They will start a war if it means they will win. Their charm lies within them never being afraid to try new things and even if JD has more direction than Honey, they both have a large skill set that could come in handy for the future. Adapting and growing is something they've never strayed away from. To be happy, they need to better themselves and that means doing anything and everything to discover what they truly love.

| {H I S T O R Y} |Parents, Jacob-Paul Duke and Ana Marie Duke, own a luxury condo on 212 Fifth Avenue, Apt 23B, located on Madison Square, currently where Honey resides by her lonesome self until she can find her own place or find someone willing to make room for her. With their parents never home, the penthouse is always available for Jax's and Honey's use, but it's unnecessarily lavish for their taste. Without a doubt, the Dukes are well off, their father being a wizard in the perfume arts, known for his perfume line, My Muse, seen at stores like Victoria Secrets, and their mother being a renown author, who has made numerous young adult novels, one being the series, Dragon's Lullaby, a story set in a fantasy world, that focuses on many themes like war, love, the struggle between good and evil, fate, free will, and many more. Think of it like Game of Thrones meets Harry Potter, with drama, blood shed, a focus on the younger generation, and an underlining hope that there will be a happy ending.
Luckily, paparazzi isn't aware of their parents' appearances and what their actual names are, since both have pen names to avoid fame: JP Taylor & Marley Cross. Jax and Honey have never been allowed to talk about their parents' success. The moment the secret is out, their lives will change forever. No one knows where Honey stays and no one knew where Jax stayed, prior to rooming with Fabian and Jason at the "Bro Pad". People are aware of Honey or that JD has a sister, but she isn't as close to the group of friends as JD is, since they are his group of friends that she hopes to become close with in time. Truth be told, she's only met Fabian and Jason! Unless any of his other friends visited the Skylight Diner when she worked there, then she might have served them.
Even with such fortunate lives, JD and Honey both choose not to get by using their parents' money and have actually worked ever since they could. The only time they are happy to be gifted from their parents is during their birthdays and on Christmas. Other than that, they are adamant on building their own worth. Like I said before, the only people that have actually met Honey is Fabian and Jason. The rest of them have heard about her, but never physically met her.
Their childhood consist of spending a lot of time with their grandmother, Hazel, living with her, going to school in the area, while their parents followed their wanderlust and visited every once in a blue moon. This transitioned into their parents trying to actually parent, having their children move into their penthouse in NY, NY, hoping they could build some kind of relationship with their kids. JD was 15, while Honey was only 13, and they had to change the lifestyle they were use to and adapt to city living, for better or for worse.
For JD, this was a positive transition and he set to work on a new image for himself. He was no longer going to be known as the fat kid. As for Honey, she wasn't as social as she was in CT. Instead, she chose to read books and cling to her brother whenever she could, not really making many friends. He had to force her to get a job at the Skylight Diner, in hopes she would make friends with her coworkers since it seemed like no one at her school really interested her. Luckily she did, although they aren't necessarily good influences and in his opinion, kind of "open"... sexually.
Of course, their 'growing' relationship with their parents didn't last long and once more, they were traveling, making JD feel obligated to take care of his baby sister. Not necessarily getting her too involved in his life, since he wanted her to focus on building her self up, with gentle pushes from him here and there, but enough so she had basic social skills. She does have a girlfriend or two, outside of his circle of friends, but she doesn't necessarily click with them. Maybe it's time for him to formally introduce her to his friends. He trusts them with his life, and maybe they can help her find herself.
Another thing he needs to do: get her a place so she isn't calling him in the middle of the night hoping he'd come visit her at the penthouse... that shit needs to stop.
