I based a plot on a fanfiction I read but switched the genders and changed it a bit. It is slightly got a bit of Shrek as Princess Fiona. A young princess was born with a curse, by day she was a beautiful princess but by night she becomes another creature. Her castle is by the ocean as her curse is based on water. She is a mermaid but her mind is overtaken and her eyes turn from blue to red and she uses her trident to kill the fish. She can't help it and if she has bad emotion during the day, her eyes will turn purple and she will fight unless either one leaves quick. The other person is human.
