Lord Aldurin Ranold of Sevaviel

It was early morning before they needed to depart for Thirmos. Aldurin had woken hours prior to the sun's arrival and stood upon the walls of the castle as he watched the burning orb rise orange above the hills. A sign of good travels, he noted in his own head. A warm wet tongue upon his hand wrested him from his own mind. Looking down he couldn't help but smile at the large grey wolf that he had brought with him form his own keep. Where he had left the rest of his ten dogs, likely giving the staff hell at the moment.

The wolf panted slightly as it sat, waiting his master's hand, which was short in coming. The soft fur was warm and soft against Aldurin's hand as he pet his companion. "Ready for this trip, Whisper old girl?" Aldurin asked with a smile. Whisper replied with a short bark and a wagging tail that thumped softly against the cold stone. "At least one of us is. Come let's go get ready," he added before making his way back through the castle, Whisper trailing silently behind.

A few hours later Aldurin was waiting outside the castle with everyone before Queen Emilia came out. He nodded slightly towards her before they all loaded into the carriages. He hated carriages, and why they insisted he ride in one was beyond him. He would much rather be riding with the men guarding him so he could better react to threats and keep an eye out on the land. Whisper was at least allowed to run along side the caravan instead of being stuffed in the carriage with Sir Lachlan and himself. It was a long a miserable trip for the both of them he noted by the look on Lachlan's face, and Aldurin envied Whisper her freedom.

Once they arrived in Thirmos Lord Aldurin almost burst from the carriage as soon as the doors opened. "About damned time," he exclaimed as he stretched his cramped and stiff body. His chainmail clinking as he did so, adjusting his sword belt, and his cape to fit a bit more comfortably before joining the rest to meet all the important people of Thirmos. Whisper sliding up to his side quiet as a the wind. Aldurin patted her head to reassure her these people meant no harm, so far.

Aldurin barely listened to all the greetings as he made no attempt to hide the fact that he was observing the castle before him. Looking for weaknesses, strengths, and his tactical mind already working on how to bring it down should he need to. Some of the windows were boarded up, he noted, as well as how there didn't seem to be many men on the battlements. He didn't take any solace in that, as it was common for a main force to hide themselves unless needed.

It wasn't until the King proclaimed he was going to steal the Queen for a moment did Lord Aldurin return his attention to those around him. Though he had always been aware of where everyone was, in case anything were to happen. He was rarely ever fully relaxed, especially in potentially hostile lands. "Apologies for butting in, but be on your toes Lachlan. I would hate to become a lamb at a wolf's table," Aldurin said in a quiet tone to the man before they all swept into the castle. Though not before motioning to Whisper stay where she was for now.

Inside the castle was much the same to him as outside as he surveyed the area. He let no cracks escape his notice. Especially the pompous man who thought to stand above them. Aldurin eyed the man who spoke to them as if they were nothing more than vermin, his mouth twisting into a snarl. He already greatly disliked the man, he was too arrogant of his believed power, but Aldurin knew the blade upon his hip would cut him to true size without issue should need arise. Though he gave the man credit for not cutting his words, it was his only redeeming quality in Aldurin's eyes.

He marched up to the man as he finished speaking and glared at him with his piercing eyes. "Listen here boy," the Lord started, his words coming out as a low menacing growl. "We came here with peaceful intentions and if you wish to keep it that way I would bite your damned tongue and do your job in silence lest you lose it entirely. I will not take kindly to a simple Chamberlain insulting the blood of Sevaviel. Continue speaking to us in such a way and we shall see how much meaning your blood holds upon the ground." Aldurin gripped the pommel of his blade tightly in his gloved hand to add meaning to his promise. Letting his glare stick onto the man a while after before turning back to his companions.

Aldurin whistled loudly and Whisper came running into the castle. Tail wagging and tongue hanging out happily. Shortly followed by the servants, Aldurin smirked slightly at the one attempting to carry his heavy bag. He grabbed the bag from the poor wretch. "Show me the way, I will carry my own weight," he said in a low growl before following to his assigned room. It was going to be a very long, and very unpleasant visit for the Wolf of Sevaviel.

I hope Aldurin bringing one of his dogs along won't be a problem, as he is rather attached :)

He wears a pair of fine leather gloves that are hardened on the backs and covered in small plates of steel on the backs of the fingers and knuckles. Upon his legs are dark cotton trousers tucked neatly into his knee high boots. A wide sword belt adorns his waist made of strong dark leather and his ever present sword in its sheath. Personality
Aldurin is a very blunt man. Never one to mix his words he is neither shy nor afraid of speaking his mind, no matter the company. He is a lifelong soldier and has no respect for the weak or the fearful. Though on the other hand one who shows to be strong and brave is greatly respected. A soft spot for dogs his home houses dozens, including a couple domesticated wolves. Thus he views abuse of these animals as a personal slight and shall respond in kind. Fiercely protective of his homeland he will not flee from a threat, and will make his enemies wish they had. Finally he has no patience for the games of politics and refuses to play along. To him politicians are worse than the dirt under his boots.

Background
Aldurin was raised a noble by his father, the previous Lord General of Sevaviel, and his mother. As soon as he could walk on his own Aldurin was shadowing his father, learning from him, and even mimicking his movements, especially during training. His father upon seeing this encouraged Aldurin, giving him toy swords, and teaching him tactics and strategy. Aldurin learned fast and studied hard, wanting nothing more to make his father proud and help him defend the lands that his parents love so much.

At the age of twelve Aldurin was out riding through the woods when his horse was attacked by a pack of wolves. Killing his horse and tossing him to the ground. He feared for his life as he watched his horse being torn apart. He feared that as soon as they finished they would come for him, he wanted to run, but he couldn't, he was paralyzed with fear. He closed his eyes, awaiting for the pain of the wolves to bite him, to tear him like they tore at his horse, but that moment never came. Instead he heard swords and men before being lifted from the ground. Opening his eyes he saw his father and his men fighting back the pack of wolves. Aldurin watched from the back of his father's horse as the men fought the wolves, pushing them back through the woods. He was surprised that the wolves would not run from men, and wondered why. Then he saw, the den, and inside were two small pups, hiding in fear, much as Aldurin was himself not more than a few moments before. The other wolves had attacked, not out of hunger or hate, but to protect their children as he had ventured too close. The last wolf stood defensively between the men and the pups, refusing to surrender to the men who now moved towards it. It died as the others, but before the men could kill the pups Aldurin lept from his father's horse and jumped in front of the two pups, begging them not to kill them. His father gave in and allowed Aldurin to take in the pups, to raise them himself. This being the first step of many to being known as the Wolf of Seveviel.

As Aldurin grew older and stronger he joined his father in many small skirmishes and even lead men of his own against bandits and other small forces. So it went for many years, until his father died and Aldurin himself was raised to Lord General of Sevaviel. Upon taking the position Aldurin quickly established himself as fair, yet strict hand. He trained the men hard, and taught them knew strategies, his favored among many were small squads called Packs that were trained to track, and fight like wolves. These small forces soon becoming the well known, and well feared elites of the Sevaviel military. The men respect Aldurin greatly, even if the nobles and politicians view him as no more than a dog of war. He would have it no other way, for a dog is more honorable than those who hide behind words and armies instead of fighting their own battles.

Extra
He has never married, despite his age, nor has he been known to visit whores. He has never openly courted anyone, though there are rumors of a few ladies he had spoken to intimately and is said to be surprisingly gentle.

oh oops >.< I'll edit
Erin Draven

Erin was simply observing all the faces coming and going with a kind smile. Despite all the hostile looks going to and fro. Along with the challenges and calls to fight, he had no reason to feel threatened. He knew that if anything truly happened the members of the Wizards of Fiore were more than capable of dealing with it. Quickly too seeing how many of the guild's top wizards were present at the moment. So Erin just smiled and laughed as he watched all of his friends go about their usually loud and boisterous lives.

"I am Erin Draven, a pleasure to meet you," He said in response to Limbo's question. "Sorry I didn't say so sooner, that's quite rude of me," he added in apology. Just as more mages entered the guild, the place suddenly becoming crowded. At least more crowded than usual as there were so many new faces joining them this day. It was always good to have new faces around, it meant more friends to make in the guild and more people that Erin could help.

Being a wizard without a team had an advantage for Erin as he could easily, and often, help out where he was needed. Though he was also capable of taking jobs solo, such as the one he had returned from not long ago. Normally when he went off alone he would make a companion of some stray animal he would find and then before his job was finished he would always seem to find a nice home for the pet. He truly had a soft spot for animals, and one he didn't try to hide.

Turning his attention from his inner thoughts Erin returned to the new wizard before him nicknamed Limbo. "So why join us, if you don't mind me asking?" He asked curiously, that kind smile always present.
