Powers: Mental Prowess - Just as the title states, Xander's brain is mentally more powerful than other beings upon the Earth, giving him abilities centered around using his pyschokinetical energy. Practically, this means telekinesis and the ability of telepathy, both in which requires mental conditioning on a weekly basis. Similarly, his brain functions at a speed higher than that of others, allowing him supernatural reflexes, intelligence, and analytical abilty.
Skills: As stated above, Xander has unnatural intelligence, meaning that his brain can store a large amount of information. However, his 'skills' are focused more around practical knowledge. He has already graduated both high-school and college, the top of his classes in both, and possesses immense knowledge in all known subjects that interested him - Math, English, Science, History, and a variety of other different topics. Similarly, he possesses immense skill in the control and balancing of his mental powers, and uses it in conjunction with his enhanced reflexes and intelligence.
Appearance: Xander's 'civilian' appearance is simply that of a young, handsome, and lean young man, standing at around 6" exactly, with a young and charming way about him. His hair is black and naturally styled back into neat locks, with a few strands dropping over his face, and his eyes are a calm and slightly distant deep grayish-purple. His attire is generally neat and well-kempt, ranging from cardigans and slacks to suits, and to polo shirts and jeans. He usually has on a few charm bracelets, with some rings on his fingers, and a couple of other knicknacks in his pockets - including a small bag of small black marbles. Hooked to the left side of his pants is a black and white rubix cube.
In his alias attire, he wears a pair of slim black jeans, boots, and a form-fitting, dark gray shirt, with a collared black jacket/hood over it, and dark black gloves. His face is hidden by a blank white mask, with an artistically painted 'X' over the mask, and tiny slits for the eyes. Around both wrists are two bracelets made of wrapping metal wire, with long lengths of the same razor-sharp wire hidden and stretching along his person.
In a world lorded over by a corrupted and shoddy government, and within the graffiti'd walls of Darlow, life seems figuratively miserable. Orphans and hobos walk the street, it's not rare to see a gang beating up innocent men and women, or boys and girls, and bank robberies happen, at the most, every other day. Over-all, living conditions are very poor, and most people aren't overly happy with their lives. Clubs bump mainstream beats, strippers work the poles, and men snort cocaine in their dark little rooms. What many do not know, however, is that, in this rat-infested city, where buying a bit of crack is cheaper than paying your light bill, there are certain types of humans.
The government has named them 'Metahumans', and there's not much you can tell about them just from seeing them. They look like humans, generally act like humans, and unless they wanna be even more discriminated against, and probably even killed by the more religious of the people, they keep their powers on the down-low. Yeah, in this city of eat or be eaten, you have to keep your eyes open. Try not to walk on a gang's turf without packing heat, or without keeping the toll in your wallet. Try to make an honest living, y'know? The economy's pretty shit, but you can probably get a job working a register at Wal-Mart. Just keep smart, which is hard in these times, and you'll live longer. Oh, and if you have powers and decide to play hero? I heard that the big ole' Superman in those comics got hurt from little green rocks. But for you people? Bullets are much easier to come by.
That's basically it. Anyone interested? I'm going for a more gritty/dangerous feel for this RP, and realistic in the sense of human morality and thoughts. Still, there'll definitely be humor, and I have an over-arching plot I'm still developing. This would mostly be sandbox, with I, the GM, throwing in different events and things to keep it all running smooth. There's no elite Meta-Hunting military group or anything - that MAY come later, I don't know yet. The city's big and pretty grimy...think a more ghetto and dangerous baby of New York, Detroit, Chicago, and some elements of Compton thrown in. There's a 'better' side of the city, and as you get away from that side, that's where the dark, crime-ridden seed of the city is shown. There's kingpins, gangsters, corrupt cops, hookers, clubs, and fucked up shit. Fun stuff.
Appearance: Jack stands around the height of 6" or 6'1" or so, with a physically tough, lean, and muscular build that comes from years of hard labor and work underneath his father and, later on, his bosses. His skin is a fair color - a bit pale due to being stuck in a vault for literally all of his life, and his eyes are a deep blue color, going fairly well with his dirty blonde hair, which is generally in a 'blast back' style, the mismatched locks going down to the nape of his neck. His face could be considered well-defined, with one red scar going along the side of his jawline, from a rather intense scuffle that happened a while ago. Other-wise, his body lacks any blemishes or such. 'As healthy as an ox', as they say. His hands are a bit scarred and calloused from working with tools and weaponry. Generally, he wears the normal Vault jumpsuit, as ordered by the Overseer and such. the sleeves are usually rolled up to the elbows, to avoid any snagging. Only when he is on duty, does he wear his Vault security garb. He always keeps a baton on his side, but his 10mm pistol stays in his room unless he's on the job.
Occupation: Security Guard/Part-Time Maintenance
Brief Bio: Jack's biography isn't as exciting as you'd think. He grew up underneath the Chief Maintenance Engineer, IE his mother, and a regular ole' security guard, IE his father. They installed within him, the value of work, and ever since he was a child, he was pretty much busy being practical, which didn't leave him with much time for friends. His dad and mother brought him along with them on their jobs - when it was possible, of course, and he learned things underneath both of them. Repairing and maintaining machinery and weaponry from his mother, and how to fight and shoot a gun by his father - whenever they could get away with using the little .22 and BB gun. His natural reflexes and skill in gun-handling made his parents proud, and they were rooting for him when he went to the Overseer for an interview. He was elected as a security guard, but went even further, as to apply for a part-time internship in the maintenance department, for whenever a substitute was needed due to staff injury. Life has been busy so far, but rewarding, as well, and it keeps him busy, so that he doesn't have to think about the boredom and monotony life had fell into. Rinse, wash, and repeat...baah baah, we're all sheep. Yeah...he tries to forget that little rhyme, but it always pops back up. He's getting a promotion soon due to efficiency, however, so that's cool.
Personality: Jack comes off as a pretty tough, standoffish, but over-all decent guy, born under the whole motto of 'Hard work beats all', which can make him quickly annoyed with cheaters and 'smooth-talking' folks. He tends to keep to himself, but not in a broody, depressed way - moreso due to the fact that he generally has stuff to do, and doesn't really find time to just sit down, pop a cola, and talk with others. This has made him pretty distant, emotion-wise. Not to say that he's emotionless, but he doesn't feel comfortable sharing his personal feelings with others, and usually keeps his sadness to himself. He tries to stay cool-headed most of the time, but he has a very...sharp temper, and can snap at times if you piss him off enough. He can come off as a bit of a cold-hearted bastard, but as stated before, he is an over-all decent guy, and will help out and do the right thing when the time calls for it.
He doesn't take shit from others, and will disagree and rebel if he feels the need to. He's a bit stubborn in some ways, and doesn't like to be talked down to. His over-all demeanor allows him to adapt to some things faster then others, combined with quick reflexes and a quick brain, but this comes with the downside of him sometimes not taking other's feelings or disadvantages into though, which can hurt their feelings. With the few 'true' friends he has, Jack jokes around and all that fun stuff, having a witty, dry sense of humor, but he doesn't coddle anyone. They've long since learned that, however, and take any half-assed compliments, apologies, and such forth with grains of salt. Stays focused on the task at hand, and is content with being quiet and focusing on his own thoughts and goals, which can also make him seem distant and cold to people that doesn't know him.
