Yes. I have been fooled into thinking a feeling is unimportant by my consciousness, which decides which feelings are important and not. If in this I have been fooled, then I have been fooled in all else. And I certainly have not been fooled in all else, so in this I have not been fooled.

Yes. Washed my brain of all unimportant things. That is what feelings are often supposed to do, no? What is important takes precedence, and the correct feelings rise up so that the useless ones trickle down into the deep. If there exists any feeling of love for you in me, then it is certainly so lacking in importance that it has sunk to the very bottom, crushed by everything else, left to die.
