Oh crap, I didnt mean to forget you! I'll fix that asap!
Hello wonderful and patient co-writers! Your OP has been updated with the full cast of characters and their associated permalinks for future reference. I'm very excited to get this started. I should have the first post up very soon.

In the mean time, do review everyone's profiles. We have a very colorful assortment of characters, a very shady corporation run by some rather questionable types, and a plot that is super broad and often negotiable. Do let me know if you have any ideas you'd like to see put to print as I welcome all kinds of twists and turns.

Also, I am starting an open call for a assistant head honcho (i.e. co-manager). I am going to be pretty busy in the upcoming weeks (university!) but I know how much work you guys put into your profiles. So, instead of doing you all a disservice by responding sporadically, I'm looking for someone who is up to the task of helping field questions and guiding the story along. If you're interested, PM me and we can chat.

Thanks again for your forbearance as I am in a transition phase!

Lots of love,
Dmytra
Hello! Great profiles, you people are so creative. I'm sorry I've been neglectful of this, I' ve just moved and been quite distracted. I will hopefully update the op with the accepted characters and have a first post up asap.

Thanks for your patience.

Also, this RPG is at capacity. I can't accept any more profiles after the ones already here.
Leviathan - That power sounds good. Perhaps you'd like to focus more on one specific power grouping as "nature" seems extremely broad. I like where you're going with either weather or the plant/animal influencing. However, it seems like it could lean towards being a bit overpowered.
Closed for now due to overwhelming response, but check back later!

Thanks!
That actually sounds like it could be a very interesting dynamic! I'd love to see the CS and I'm very sure that whatever you've thought of will work fine.
Hello!

I love collaborative writing and I am interested in trying to work out a 1x1 RPG with someone whose interests are similar to mine. I find my love of writing resulted from years and years of reading everything I could get my hands on. In fact, early on I was rather undiscriminating about what type of books I would read. I devoured everything from Lord of the Rings to Confessions of a Shopaholic . It was a rather chaotic time for me to say the least. However, as I've become more selective (I like to think I've wizened up a bit), I've narrowed down some subjects that will never cease to interest me:

1. I am enchanted with stories that have well conceived and complex world building elements. I love Game of Thrones, Lord of the Rings, anything by Neil Gaiman and many more. Also, Avatar the Last Airbender was great. If you are interested in building a world with me than I couldn't be more excited to get started.

1.5. I wouldn't mind science fiction, fantasy (high and low fantasy works for me), dystopia, cyberpunk or steampunk. Have you played Dishonored (video game)? I have to say that it is one of my favorite more recently imagined worlds. Anyways - world building - are you down?

2. I'm really fascinated by superheroes. However, I'm kind of over all of the traditional ones like Superman, Batman...etc. I do draw a lot of inspiration from them and I know that at this point there's not really any "new" superhero ideas. But, nonetheless, if you're interested in exploring superheroes and supervillainry (is that right?) than I'd love to hear your ideas. I like darker stories with Superheroes and I prefer Marvel over DC if you catch my drift.

3. I like modern fairytale reincarnations or just the infusion of fairytale elements into a grittier and industrial setting. I like sprawling metropolises with a hint of magic.

Have I held your interest so far - do you like what your reading?

Well, if you think you want to expand on any of the aforementioned ideas then I'd like to see if our writing styles are compatible. Here's a few things that I appreciate in a writing partner:

- You relish the details and like painting with your words.
- You try your best to adhere to grammar and spelling rules.
- You like characters that have complexity and depth.
- You like to improvise.
- You are a good collaborator.
- You like Advanced RPGs. I hesitate to use the word "casual" as I don't like the thought of writing casually, but high-casual is also fine as long as you are writing with impact.

Some Things I'd Prefer We Not Do:

- Sorry, but I'm not that enthralled by graphic romance. I mean, love is wonderful but I don't want to be involved in a collaboration that revolves around sex. There are endless internet chat rooms for that, what do you need me for?
- I know very, very little about anime and manga. I mean, if I had to I think I could survive in a conversation about anime and manga, if that's all the other person wanted to talk about, but that conversation would be very superficial. I do love Studio Ghibli though. *Nostalgia*
- I know very, very little about video games. Ok, that's sort of lie. I have extremely advanced knowledge about the Bioshock series and Dishonored (long story). That's it. I'm really not kidding. Odd isn't it?

So, if you've managed this far PM me or comment below. I have a few ideas whirring around but if you have anything you'd like to suggest, feel free to do so. Also, if you have any questions, do ask!

Thanks,
Dmytra
Great job everyone, the profiles are all coming along.

I would like to remind everyone as the profiles are coming in that multiple edits have been done to each one. Make sure you reread people's profiles just to make sure you catch all of the changes.

Also, general consensus is that the narrative will start after the procedure has been performed on all of you. Keep this in mind as you consider your introductory post.

I'm waiting on a few more profiles to be submitted, but I'll make the first post in the next few days.

Thanks a bunch,
Dmytra
Raptorman - Regeneration sounds like a good power but make sure that there are limits to it in some way. You're right that in this case the kill switch wouldn't stop your character's heart, but would it have any effect on them at all? That doesn't seem like something anyone could just walk off. Also, how many times could the character regenerate over a period of time? But I'm totally ok with you keeping regeneration as a power, just make sure it's a balanced one.

Korbanjaro - That is gold. I laughed SO hard...

Profiles look great so far!
My answer -

YES to everything. Great ideas, I can't wait to see what you come up with. And of course your friend is welcome. Hopefully you can help catch them up to speed.
