@AzsethWell, yeah, last time that ended well...
The entity in Keystone's head responded swiftly, but with clear difficulty forming words:

"Kaylee...prison...escape..you" it managed to convey before the link was abruptly cut and the presence rapidly faded. The first line of guards was breached as the massive knight charged head on for the resting monk. The inscription on the sword suddenly restored to its bright glow, the undead easily cleaved through two guards trying to block his way, but staggered under the combined blows of all the archers.

"Give her back, human!" Glith yelled as he took a step towards the monk, only to be showered in arrows again and again. With the weightlessness of the blade restored, he had little trouble deflecting most of the arrows. The presence in Keystone's mind was barely present the closer the undead knight came to him.

The Captain, angry at nothing in particular, shoved Keystone towards the last, half empty carriage:
"If you'd rather stay and die, then be of some use! I am not losing any more men and women protecting you, and I won't have your death on my conscience!" he yelled, stepping between the undead and the human. When the large two handed sword crashed onto the shield the veteran fighter was holding, it cut clean through, nearly severing an arm. Despite this, the man returned the favour by battering the undead assailant with careful and quick blows on its weapon, forcing it to defend instead of attacking.

Behind the large undead knight, the horde cut down the last remaining frontline, shuffling forward towards the archers and the duelists. Many of the ranged fighters drew maces, clubs and shields, charging at the horde with seeming abandon, trusting that their leader would handle the one leading the small army.
@AzsethCan only join a week from now.
@SigilI think you will find that Keystone will have a different relationship with this spirit.
The Captain is the last line of defense between you and the attacking horde, and he's a few meters away from you (about ten feet). His fighting guards are ahead of him, and currently holding off the main horde. Next to the Cpt there are the archers with magical bows and arrows, currently effectively holding back the horde.

The spirit in Keystone's head is like a second voice in his head, and is much less intrusive than any kind of spirit that actually hijacks a spot inside his head. It's just there, occupying some physical space inside of him(not noticeable). You can try talking to it, see how it responds.
Glith chuckled as he saw exactly what the two were planning, blasting a massive hole in his army as they charged. With all the grace of a practioned magic user, he cast Haste upon himself and charged towards the pair, sword in hand. What struck the undead as odd is that he didn't actually move. Kaylee was stuck in the ground, and no amount of tugging would get the sword out of the ground. If anything, the blade *wanted* to be buried. Putting many a sailor to shame with his language, the cleric cast dispel magic and pulled the blade free, only to see his two opponents far in the field, his undead army chasing them as slow as undead went.

Downhill from the two running men, at the city gates, the captain of the garrison was loading up citizens into a caravan set to depart west as soon as everyone was on board. Busy coordinating the process, he didn't notice the two men running down until one of the guards shouted that there were more survivors followed by an undead horde and something even bigger. The guards leveled their magical bows and let loose a barrage of arrows, striking down many of the undead and staggering the unusually fast giant undead. Other guards ran towards the pair, shouting 'Hurry!' as they valiantly put themselves between the approaching horde and the two men.

As the men got close to the caravan, the captain yelled for them to get on and hurry as he too stepped away to form a human wall between the caravan and the approaching undead.

The presence within Keystone grew even more and was now noticeable to even the untrained mind, though it did not hinder the monk in any way. On the other side of the battlefield, the inscription on the large two handed sword faded in mid swing, saving a guard from immediate decapitation as the blade became unusually heavy in the knight's hands. The undead knight growled and punched through the poor man's face, before charging head on to the captain.
@SigilMountain climbing. reception is terrible and super expensive. If you reply to my post within the next 20 hours, I'll be able to respond again before I leave.

As usual, if you want to do some actions that happen in the middle of my timeline, say so and you can edit them in; i will edit my post accordingly.
@SigilI'll be gone for a week starting tomorrow, with 0 internet access, so be prepared for that.
@WhoamiObligatory PSA: I'll be gone from tomorrow for 7 days, with absolutely 0 internet access. Given the posting rate, I should miss what, 2 posts?

@SigilI've always pictured it as either a force push or mind control, depending on the cleric.
