Current Its a fun feeling to just sit and think about what to do for responses. The flipside is feeling locked in place, waiting for another to go first on something.

You ever take a look at the forum board, not see anything of ready interest, and decide to just go about your day? Figured I'd see if a new game was interesting, nope, ah well.

Writer's block is a pain, but if I happen to owe anyone apost, I'll be working on them tonight, hopefully. Might go surfing, see if any games catch my attention.

Bio

I already did an earlier introduction, but this is something one could always see, so let's roll.

Serene is the pen name that I use over on my old G+ account, which if you're able to find the account before the site shuts down, is Serene Selphia, but no fancy url, lol. But to those I'm close enough to, my nickname is Chris, and if I ask you to not use it, its nothing personal, I'm just not ready for that level of friendliness. That isn't to say I'm not a friendly person, just that I can be a bit professional when it comes to stuff. I've been rping since like...2011 I think? If I could find the Minecraft rp forums I started on(yes those were a thing, it was actually full of good rpers, but all good things come to an end of course), I'd have a precise date.

I roleplay a lot of things, well, that was the old system. About four years back, I settled down in a roleplay community on G+ called Temple of Glory, and began to stick to just one character who I kept working on, using other characters as I felt the need. That was my current primary character's father, a character I'll call the Professor for now, as I intend to post a version of his character sheet later. Probably when doing so wouldn't spoil what became of him in a storyline. Anyway, after a point I burned out as him, and switched focus to his daughter, who I use primarily in the old roleplay hub I come from. The Good Doctor, and here, no spoilers, mostly because ahaha, I'm shy about that.

I love a lot of series, but my heart goes out mainly to Rune Factory, Sonic, Mega Man, Metroid, Mario, Pokemon, and Duel Monsters. Especially Rune Factory and Sonic, though lately I've fostered a love for the Nasuverse, Fate Grand Order is a fun time. I love to read a variety of things, and I'm always online unless sleeping, so feel free to drop me a line if you need it. While I'm relatively new to the site here, I'm an rp veteran, and a skilled writer, as you'll see whenever I post the Doctor's current profile.

Ah right, more on me. I'm a college senior presently, I just had my capstone for my history degree wrapped up, and I'm proud of my progress. While I am a loner by nature(I mean my writing often keeps me trapped in my room to meet paper deadlines), I'm still a sociable person, and if you can't reach me here, my Discord is Serene Selphia#1064. So I suppose that's a bit of a spoiler, but to who, I won't say. Just be forewarned, if you ask me about a character of mine, there's a risk I'll write a lot, so make sure you're totally fine with that.

In terms of roleplay, while I do mainly fantasy/science-fiction, I can roll with just about anything(as far as I know), but if I tell you its not working for me, don't take it personally. I'm a fairly detailed writer, and in terms of style, I'm good with both combat and non-combat related narratives, I mean, my current main was built for combat initially, whereas her father is more the sociable type. The most detailed things tend to when I describe the world around, or when writing profiles for characters I adore. Basically, if I'm in tune or really love something, you could get a lot. I once wrote about twenty pages on a google doc in two hours because I loved it so much. Weird flex sure, but you can understand it. I don't look for much in rp partners, so long as you can write me enough that I understand either what you're doing, or what's going on, I'm usually good. I'll generally drop a line if I need more information.

I love learning, so if you ask me about something, and I don't have an answer, I'll gladly take the time to do at least a basic amount of research. And if you're ever stumped for ideas, drop me a line, I'm always glad to help fellow veterans or the newer folk. Heck, at one point for a friend's group I wrote an entire(albeit unused) document full of random plot ideas for the group drawn from throughout film and video games. Point is, if you need someone to talk to, unless I'm in a bad mood, or its a bad time(aka I'm about to go to bed, or in class), I'm always up for at least a quick chat. I do take commissions, so if you want a fanfiction written, give me a holler, or if you just want a custom story about a character of mine, or just ask for them to give their input on something in a non-serious setting. Still debating what to set prices for, or if I work totally free...I mean I should charge something, but anyways, wew, talk about a ramble, eh?

Anyways, that's about it. I'll probably rewrite this as needed.
Restating ways to reach me as needed!

She didn't say anything further in response to what had been said about their deity, the young android blinking a few times. Sure, take a hive mind and separate a single member from it can cause issues, but she seemed to be recovering. Or at least, adapting to no longer being part of a central collective that spanned star systems. Though if they did cross paths with one of the branches, things could get dicey. She kept processing, before finally, after all the others so far had agreed, that she raised a hand, slowly. "Count me in, I'm not the most advanced of my people, but I can assist. Sort of. You said something about being fed power from our universe...What would that mean for those of us who don't rely on external power?" She was just trying to make sense of things, that was all.

Part of her almost wished she'd been made a Rune Model, just for the sake of better combativeness. Or that there were other Rockroids with her. Having them would be nice. If only because they'd work well in tandem. Oh well, it was just her, no big sisters or brothers to fight with her, no Rock Soldiers or Berserker Soldiers to protect her. Only time would tell if this would change, if at all. She was ready to fight as best able, either way.
Can we adapt OCs from other tales or threads on here? Would say, dragonborn be permitted? I have some sample character sheets if you like. Are dragons who can take on human form be permitted? Or would material from a canon series also be permitted?

Just asking since I have a few fantasy OCs I can draw on for material.
Color me interested! Always love the ol' "you dun goofed, round two" trope. The one where the heroes either got wasted early, or something else.
Notes: This is a direct translation from another roleplay off the site, and will be fixed up another day, probably when I have the patience to get super detailed beyond what's here, adjust off site references, and fancy with formatting.

Welcome to the world! Enjoy your stay, hope you find threads that interest you!
Welcome to the guild. Trust me, wordy is fine. Lord knows that's how my own bio looks.

Enjoy your stay!
A Challenger Approaches

Act 1.2: Grim Tidings

Her radio picked up on what was happening before she did, as Serene's head was down, checking her phone for any texts. The sudden static as the explosion in the city disrupted radio waves made her head snap up, seeing the aftermath on the distant horizon. A foot slammed on the brakes, as her hands twisted the wheel, the truck skidding as it came to an abrupt stop, nearly throwing her forward, but not as much as if she'd hit something. Now off the highway a tad, to let other cars pass, she stared in abject horror at the rising cloud. She quickly searched through the radio channels for the local news, only to freeze at the news.

"An explosion in the city? Mayor might be gone...weird chemical rain. What the hell..." Knuckles turned white as she gripped the steering wheel with one hand, both feet now off the pedals, as she tried to process this. Had her father somehow foreseen this? Was this why he'd spoken of the winds calling? Had he known a clairvoyant who warned him? She had to assume there was a reason he'd never come to the city to himself. Had her grandmother known something she hadn't? Her hand left the wheel, unlocking the door, pushing it open, leaving the truck idling, as she engaged the parking break with her other hand, using one of the two then to undo her seatbelt, and she climbed out. Booted feet landed on the asphalt, her hand going up to shade her eyes, as she looked towards the source. She was dimly aware of others stopping to look at the chaos, babies crying in cars nearby, but for her, it was shocking. Serene only kept staring as the cloud began to fall, and then climbed back in, hearing nothing new on the news. Just a warning for people to be careful.

She made a choice. She'd come this far, there was no going back. She hadn't come this far, only to turn back, only to retreat from the dangers ahead, to make her father proud. Taking in a breath, she let it out. "Alright, let's rock and roll." She pulled her phone up, and sent a text to her Grandmother, knowing the other was currently probably out and not using her phone, but just telling her that there had been a possible terror attack in the city, and that she was fine, but heading into the city. She knew she'd get an earful over the phone later, given how unhappy the elder Light had been at the thought of her going in the first place. But the time for action was now. The city would likely need heroes more than ever, and she was going to be one of them. She buckled up again, but kept the radio to the news, incase she heard more, and with a heavy heart, and a chip on her shoulder, she pressed the gas in, the white truck beginning to move again, accelerating as she pulled back onto the highway that led to the city, having already taken the exit off from the prior highway. She'd be there soon, and then, she'd figure out what niche she could fill as a magitech user...

...If only she knew she wasn't magical. Oh well, that'd be a trip for another time.
That was nice to look at.

Low-key secretly harboring a wonder if anyone will try their hand at a Rockverse OC, lol.
That's an understandable concern, but I wouldn't worry too much. Just counterpart logic, I've dealt with it before.

Meanwhile I have a similar situation, but in reverse, since while the "champions" are the Rock Imperium, gotta wonder what form they might take in other universes. I did consider the idea the Goddess of the Rock Imperium(though she's not a literal deity, that's just creator worship type antics) was sucked into another universe, and has been roaming as able, either of her own accord, or to try and find a way back home. Might toy with the idea more.
Dark as in furry antics or dark as in what OCs might have?
