Current Its a fun feeling to just sit and think about what to do for responses. The flipside is feeling locked in place, waiting for another to go first on something.

You ever take a look at the forum board, not see anything of ready interest, and decide to just go about your day? Figured I'd see if a new game was interesting, nope, ah well.

Writer's block is a pain, but if I happen to owe anyone apost, I'll be working on them tonight, hopefully. Might go surfing, see if any games catch my attention.

Bio

I already did an earlier introduction, but this is something one could always see, so let's roll.

Serene is the pen name that I use over on my old G+ account, which if you're able to find the account before the site shuts down, is Serene Selphia, but no fancy url, lol. But to those I'm close enough to, my nickname is Chris, and if I ask you to not use it, its nothing personal, I'm just not ready for that level of friendliness. That isn't to say I'm not a friendly person, just that I can be a bit professional when it comes to stuff. I've been rping since like...2011 I think? If I could find the Minecraft rp forums I started on(yes those were a thing, it was actually full of good rpers, but all good things come to an end of course), I'd have a precise date.

I roleplay a lot of things, well, that was the old system. About four years back, I settled down in a roleplay community on G+ called Temple of Glory, and began to stick to just one character who I kept working on, using other characters as I felt the need. That was my current primary character's father, a character I'll call the Professor for now, as I intend to post a version of his character sheet later. Probably when doing so wouldn't spoil what became of him in a storyline. Anyway, after a point I burned out as him, and switched focus to his daughter, who I use primarily in the old roleplay hub I come from. The Good Doctor, and here, no spoilers, mostly because ahaha, I'm shy about that.

I love a lot of series, but my heart goes out mainly to Rune Factory, Sonic, Mega Man, Metroid, Mario, Pokemon, and Duel Monsters. Especially Rune Factory and Sonic, though lately I've fostered a love for the Nasuverse, Fate Grand Order is a fun time. I love to read a variety of things, and I'm always online unless sleeping, so feel free to drop me a line if you need it. While I'm relatively new to the site here, I'm an rp veteran, and a skilled writer, as you'll see whenever I post the Doctor's current profile.

Ah right, more on me. I'm a college senior presently, I just had my capstone for my history degree wrapped up, and I'm proud of my progress. While I am a loner by nature(I mean my writing often keeps me trapped in my room to meet paper deadlines), I'm still a sociable person, and if you can't reach me here, my Discord is Serene Selphia#1064. So I suppose that's a bit of a spoiler, but to who, I won't say. Just be forewarned, if you ask me about a character of mine, there's a risk I'll write a lot, so make sure you're totally fine with that.

In terms of roleplay, while I do mainly fantasy/science-fiction, I can roll with just about anything(as far as I know), but if I tell you its not working for me, don't take it personally. I'm a fairly detailed writer, and in terms of style, I'm good with both combat and non-combat related narratives, I mean, my current main was built for combat initially, whereas her father is more the sociable type. The most detailed things tend to when I describe the world around, or when writing profiles for characters I adore. Basically, if I'm in tune or really love something, you could get a lot. I once wrote about twenty pages on a google doc in two hours because I loved it so much. Weird flex sure, but you can understand it. I don't look for much in rp partners, so long as you can write me enough that I understand either what you're doing, or what's going on, I'm usually good. I'll generally drop a line if I need more information.

I love learning, so if you ask me about something, and I don't have an answer, I'll gladly take the time to do at least a basic amount of research. And if you're ever stumped for ideas, drop me a line, I'm always glad to help fellow veterans or the newer folk. Heck, at one point for a friend's group I wrote an entire(albeit unused) document full of random plot ideas for the group drawn from throughout film and video games. Point is, if you need someone to talk to, unless I'm in a bad mood, or its a bad time(aka I'm about to go to bed, or in class), I'm always up for at least a quick chat. I do take commissions, so if you want a fanfiction written, give me a holler, or if you just want a custom story about a character of mine, or just ask for them to give their input on something in a non-serious setting. Still debating what to set prices for, or if I work totally free...I mean I should charge something, but anyways, wew, talk about a ramble, eh?

Anyways, that's about it. I'll probably rewrite this as needed.
Restating ways to reach me as needed!

The Professor

Centuries pass, and some things never change. That was something a lone male amid the crowds mused, dressed in a trenchcoat and fedora, that hid his appearance from view. Legend that he was, wanderer that he was, he had learned it was best to hide one's appearance as best able, to avoid standing out. With his coat collar turned up, and hat pulled low, it was doubtful anyone would pay him a second glance. It worked in his favor, allowing the dragon to move between the crowds, until close enough to hear the newest information. His lips had curled into a frown at the news of the cancellation. So the rumors he'd heard could be true. It would take nothing short of a war to cancel this event, which concerned him. His timing was perfect as usual. Red eyes flickered around the crowds, reading the mood...most were angry or disappointed. There were probably a few who were afraid or relieved. The Professor mulled, considering the information again.

"At least this gives me time to pick up something for my lair..." Truth be told, part of him was relieved that the tournament was cancelled. He didn't want to fight too much this time around, given the recent rumors. Keep his presence low, incase it became apparent that a hero was needed, and that it would require his aid. That said...there was that museum gift shop he'd passed on the way, yes, that would do. He turned around, making his way back through the crowd, passing right past the human Victor, eyes briefly flickering towards the rich man, before just as quickly flickering away. There was a King Tut's tomb DVD with the Professor's name on it, and a few astronaut food items. Perhaps he'd hit up the local library, read some of their texts. Perhaps even run into another inhuman like himself, that would make for some good story swaps. So of course, unless someone had the bright idea of challenging the trenchcoat clad Nomad, he'd not be stopped as he made his way elsewhere. Or if something happened. But now, time for the second player in the mix.

The Nameless Predator

Even robots need places to crash, and for the hunter who had made her way across the world in search of the bio-data the tournament would yield, that was a small cave she'd found while exploring the area around the upcoming tournament. Her systems let her listen in on chatter, and when news came over the radio of the cancellation...

"OH FOR FUCKS SAKE!" An audible thud echoed through her makeshift lair, as the android punched the floor in anger, pissed off at the news. Fuming, she hauled herself to her feet, slamming a foot against the ground now, hopping mad. She'd dodged border patrols and customs officials in dozens of places, all for her time to be wasted?! How in the Goddess's graces was she supposed to earn her adulthood?! The tournament was a perfect window! She kept up the minor tantrum, soon completely trashing her hideout...not that hard given it was literally just her and the cave. But after enough time thrashing around and probably making anyone near by think a monster or earthquake was around, she collapsed onto her back, coughing a tad. Now that the anger had dwindled, she seriously began to consider the situation. Sure, the tournament was cancelled...but there were still hundreds, if not thousands of skilled fighters here. Besides! There had to be a reason for that tournament to get shut down. Perhaps...the Goddess had intervened, and made this her name trial? The thought made Nameless haul herself back to her feet, the young android grinning in excitement at the thought. She punched the fist of one hand into her palm, her grin widening even more. Even if it wasn't a trial, this was a perfect window! Find out the cause, and beat the shit out of anyone who gets in your way! Brilliant!

Of course, her fellow Rockroids would probably be facepalming at her actions, but that's a Brawler for you. All about the next fight. And without further ado, she quickly left her lair, and began heading through the terrain, making a bee line for where the big announcement had just come in, like an actual juggernaut. Hopefully no one got run over by the rapidly moving metal warrior.

Meanwhile...

Orbit; Rock Imperium Rough Rider Transport

It was quiet, on the monitoring ship. So far, of the four Rockroids dropped onto the surface a year ago, only one, a Caster, had completed their trial, and that one was now hanging with the adults. For the ship's commander, a quiet, but stern Rider, green eyes gazed at data feeds, displaying global news, most of which was in response to the tournament cancellation. One screen marked the Brawler currently making their way along the surface. A Rock Soldier, clad in the standard black garments, stepped up, pale skin shining just a tad in the display lights, and silently exchanged a look with the Commander, before peeling away, walking back into the shadows. While they were the only Rough Riders around, that didn't prevent the possibility that other Imperium Factions were also in the area, but those ones at least were keeping a low profile. Otherwise, they barely gave any care to the cancelling, unless it impacted them or their mission, most events were ignored. That was how things went.

//Hope this is good!
I could swap the self-defense for gun training, but at the same time, I've seen a few cases of normal folks undergoing basic self-defense classes, just incase, such as if they live in a more dangerous part of a neighborhood, but at the same time, yeah, I getcha. In regards to the grant, we could presume that the research branch of FAMA was the one she was working for when the accident occurred? Admittedly, when I noted she was put into temporary containment by FAMA, that was at a later stage than the initial research stage of writing. Be easy enough to fix up and smooth out.

That said, regarding the power itself, resistance from the target both actively and passively would be logical. Much like when blood transfusions or new organs are put in, there's a chance of the body rejecting the changes. The same could be applied for any genetic altercation, the body doesn't like being messed with. I'd say something like teeth and hair falling out would be rather extreme, however. The concentration weakness, while vague, is still a reasonable one, given what I noted regarding how easily mutations could occur if one wasn't being careful. However, overall illness, such as cramps, vomiting, aches and pains, could be rather reasonable, especially the more extreme a given shift is. Vomiting is likely to happen regardless though, if she has to remove an ingested DNA subset. That or the foreign DNA is sweated out.

As for the dinosaur, it wasn't from ex nhilo as it might seem, given what me and Junk discussed, the origin point would have just been her modifying a bird until the avian resembled something close enough to her intended purpose. It'd be easy enough to adjust the information in the bio, to account for this. I'd partly wanted to keep things a bit vague for plot reasons.

If there's anything else that I've missed in addressing each of your points regarding concerns or possible changes, do let me know.
Genetic Manipulator is done. Not my best profile since I wrote in stages, but hope its good. If changes need to be made, I can make them.

Done with Genetic Woman. If changes need to be made, I can make them later. I'll add a character theme later. Hope folks like!

Those are some killer legs.

I'll be here all night.
I'll probably have another post up soon, I have that essay, but if anyone wants to meet up with Serene and Da Vinci, holler. Haven't decided if the place Serene is at is near the corner store the bulk of interactions are at, or if its another store she meant.

I dunno.
Ah yeah, that makes sense.
There could be innocent monster applied(even though its really not so innocent, lol)
Ah thanks, I'll toss him in later.

Also as someone who despite being white as a sheet has Aztec blood...oh great king, why do you hate me so.
That damn curse is painnnnnn-
