Appearance:

A slim woman who always has a half smile on her face, she is about 1,68m tall and has a body that is soft enough to show she was not trained to be a warrior. She has a flecked face, brown hair and magenta eyes. She likes to wear well but practically, preferring to avoid long dresses or skirts.

Personality: She is someone who at first is very pleasing, she smiles a lot and has gentle words. Despite that being mostly a mask her true personality isn't that far, she just happens to be more prone to make the nasty observations and laugh at other's mistake. She tries her best to be on nobody's bad side, so she keeps her business honest and avoids causing too much harm to others. She also has a true sense of chivalry, but its more because she thinks it is fancy than an ideal of justice.

Biography: She is the daughter of a merchant lord, that means she is better off than the average peasant but has not the regalia of a noble. She lived a pretty simple life in a coastal city, she played with kids across the streets, was a pretty face to distract her father's clients and studied in the local academy, she studied battling with rapiers as a hobby, her main objective was to acquire the right to carry swords in public, just to put a little more respect whenever she was dealing with someone.

When the gods she received a message from Hermes, her father at first tried to dissuade her from getting involved with the Labyrinth but she was keen on accepting the call.

Skills:
- Similar to fencing her swordsmanship is focused thrusting attacks while parrying or dodging the enemy's blade. She uses the rapier and has little experience with anything larger or smaller than that. Of course, she also don't use a shield, since her whole style is focused on avoiding attacks.

- She has experience with commerce, being trained on the social skill required to talk with clients and the logistic necessary to run a business. She has no training in any craft

- Being a child who played a lot in a city and who later trained on an agile battle-style she is moderately dexterous with movements, not as good as an acrobat but she knows how to move well while jumping or running.

Interesting! I was going to make my character be a little fascinated with the greek goddess of the moon/hunt Artemis because she too had a habit of turning people in animals, but I will change that to Orion since it will actually have a weight :)

Back Alley Shamanism

In this world magic has always been there for those who can sense it.

The year is 2015, for the last two decades all magical users end up going under one of three factions:

-The Faith, organization who believes magic is a blessing and should be taught to all, as long as they follow a discipline. (Not linked by any particular faith but by a cooperation of a few of them)

-The Agency, organization who believes magic should be categorized and controlled. Only group which cooperates with governments and tries to help normal people with their ability.

-The Society, organization who believes magic should be free to use by those who are able as long as it does not harm anyone.

However, you, despite being able to use magic, are not a part of any of those. Maybe you didn't agree with the Faith's discipline, maybe you were not able to keep up with the Agency's demands, maybe you were too boring or weak to join the society, either way, you are locked away from the ways of learning how to use your ability.

At least trough the legal means, because you just heard a whisper about a "back alley" group who will teach anyone the basics and a bit more, as long as you help them with a few chores. You should also be warned that they are not a group of worried teachers and they make no guarantees about your safety, so don't expect to have someone saving you should you explode yourself/summon a man-eating plant/petrify yourself/etc...

I have had this idea for a while, its pretty simple but I think it can be fun. It follows the overall idea of the "magic academy" RP we have so much but this one does not have classes and you are not obligated to live with all the other students (even if cooperation is good).

Also, the focus of it is not becoming the very best like no one ever was but to survive trough all sorts of magical hijinks.

In terms of a mercator projection, which is how the actual whole map is, the current map is roughly one quarter of the world, the northeast corner. I do wish that there was a tool where you could convert a mercator projection map to an actual globe, but I have not found one. This continent is essentially a parallel to Europe-Asia-Africa, so think the distance between the tip of the western peninsula and the mouth of the desert river is roughly equivalent to the distance between Istanbul and Beijing. Which according to the internet is 4710 miles.

Civilization Roleplay: Rise of Races (The Tribes of Nova Mondial Want You!)

The Ukalli Tribe

It had been a year since "Leader" had traveled across the jungle into the north and yet the odd imagery of that far away land still bothered its mind. The Ukalli, being mute, have yet to develop their language enough for someone to tell a narrative, thanks to that the "Leader"'s experience were only his and he had no means of sharing it.

That didn't mean it would be idle, it had a dream and that was to unify its tribe like the tribes from the north, so far it had managed to do it pretty well, sadly it noticed their numbers were 40 to 50 able Ukalli at most and those childs didn't look like they would spawn dozens of new adults so soon.

"Hunt, East, Left (direction), Path" It signaled with its hands, but one of the others there shook its head "Six, Left (action), Morning" Leader was impressed, it was uncommon for their tribesfolk to leave without him, it was good to see they were leaving their comfort zone

On that day it decided to stay in the village taking care of the childs, while inspection a tree hallow where some of them were playing it noticed that a little girl had made an odd structure with vines, interlacing them together to make one square-ish shape instead of making the typical braid shape. It approached with curiosity "Again, Make" It signaled and pointed to the cloth, the girl promptly obeyed, Leader took this second cloth with it as it went to a nearby fruit bush, as it expected, the cloth was good to carry more than they could pick, but it was far too fragile and thick to be useful, the tribe would have to find a better source of fiber.
