The smell of one's own farts rarely bothered the farter, and even in this case, that remained true. All things considered, he felt quite relieved. The removed pressure of the gas helped his back muscles relax a bit and afforded him a bit more movement. Lionel didn't bother to turn around and look to see who it was when he heard the door open. It wasn't until he heard Camilla's question that his head twisted around, the old man's gaze affixed directly at her.

"Well that's not what the current situation is. However, if'n you're wishin' for that to change, go ahead and disclose that desire unto me and I shall use utmost speed and deliberation in fulfilling your request." Despite his compromised position, Lionel spoke loudly and with great emotion, as if he truly believed every word he had just spoken despite his physical condition. That said, he made no further movements, and it looked as if he had no intentions of doing so any time soon.
If everything works out I'll be able to get out a post today

Still no promises.

But it's probably going to be extremely reckless.
@Lady Amalthea I might take over Carla and unintentionally turn her into an entirely different character.

Possibly one with a mustache.
That's what I was doing
Will try to post today, but no promises

Cyne sat at the opposite side of the fire from where Keystone and the others were working on preparing the many dead animals Sana apparently hunted in the time they had spent in the cave talking to the chief. It wasn't a very long conversation, and it didn't feel like the walk had taken that long. Hells, if she had spent all day hunting and gathering Cyne wouldn't expect to have even a quarter of what was here. Part of her wanted to point out that hunting to this extent was probably way too much, and given the number of orcs already here was overtaxing the ecosystem and could have lasting effects for years to come.

However, that voice was drowned out by the sound of her stomach gurgling in flaccid emptiness. So there she sat. Well yeah she could help out with the cooking, but everyone else seemed to have it covered, and that little voice telling her to think about the ecological effects wasn't entirely powerless. After about ten minutes she resolved to at least do something.

"I'm going to go look for some firewood. I'll try to be back before sundown," she said, standing up. Sure, the chances of finding dry wood were close to nil, but it was better than just sitting around letting yourself grow hungrier. While these woods were unfamiliar to her, they were a favored environment, so she strode forward with confidence as she disappeared into the brush.

"About that," Mali replied when Relic brought up Alicia's death, "Everyone in my building except me is either dead or missing: Lyle Marlestone, the Whites, Lorna Dunn, Alicia Gonzalez. All dead. I haven't seen nor heard Svetlana, Lyle's roommate since he was murdered a week ago. She might be dead as well, but I've no idea. For the time being, I essentially have the Rose Building all to myself. I'm pretty sure that all these people living in the same building was itself a coincidence, but the sheer number of people that have died within the past 10 days in Boston Heights casts shade on every little thing." Mali sighed and took in a deep breath as she took a moment to mentally structure some of the information in her head into something that wouldn't sound completely disorganized.

"So when I got jumped Wednesday, on one of the wrists of the guys I spotted an astrological male symbol tattooed on his wrist. I didn't really get to see any of their faces, so I can't confirm any identities or such, but I'm fairly certain that what happened then isn't related to any big picture things. The fact of the matter is that I beat their asses twice, and that incident was probably payback plain and simple. It's not hard to figure out how thugs think, and it was probably just an eye for an eye kind of deal since I haven't been bothered since. However, that incident did teach me something important, but I'm not going to go any further into this particular topic until we're in a more secure spot than completely out in the open."

There has been an awakening.
Have you felt it?

Familiar,
but unexpected.
Unwelcome.

Bubbling from the pits
Like a geyser
Gurgling
Straining against its boundaries

Although he may try to resist
Lionel knew that there could be no victory
Against inevitability.
Struggling against fate
He grit his teeth

Clenched toes
Strained breath
Clouded mind
Forgotten hope

The struggle finally lost
Lionel succumbed
And cut loose what he had been holding back

The Mother
Of All Farts
NEVER MIND THIS SHIT, HERE COMES MONGO

I needed to get a post out and I couldn't really think of anything to do in the normal style of posting so I threw together a poem encapsulating everything that went on. If I need to change it I will.
