"Not much," Cyne replied, stifling a yawn. "I just suggested that we leave Cremwise here instead of, well, anyone else we have to offer. It looks like everyone's about to sleep and although Sana wants last watch, we haven't even set that up." Cyne pulled her bag in front of her and pulled out her pipe and some tobacco, preparing the herbs as she spoke to the pugilist. After saying those couple of sentences, she stopped speaking to finish the set up. Once she had a decent smoke going and puffed a few times to be sure that everything was in a stable position, she resumed speaking, her body posture slackening a bit.

"If you want to take every watch again, that's fine." The druid paused for a moment and took a hit from the pipe blowing a smoke ring out directly over the campfire, the convection coming from the flames making the ring wobble and morph, as if dancing to music that wasn't there. "I'm not quite in the sleeping mood yet, so I'm taking first shift regardless. I might not have an owl form or such handy at the moment, but my night vision should suffice, especially with all the orcs around giving us more eyes on watch, even if indirectly."

"Alright, well that clears things up a bit." Mali said, thinking through the information in her head while simultaneously walking through her mental process verbally. It made the talking and thinking a bit less refined, but it wouldn't leave a lot of dead space in the conversation. "It makes the possibility of the tunnels connected to my building being used for criminal activity seem a bit more plausible, but I still don't think it would have been a commonplace thing. See, these tunnels aren't the construction of any criminal organizations or the like. They were built by the city itself, so they would have knowledge of all of them, making it riskier to use for something as lucrative as smuggling alcohol. Even if they did have some abandoned or otherwise redundant ones, it's not like they would have too difficult a time digging up that information. Back in the 1920s the 1850s were only 70 or so years ago. It'd be like looking up stuff from the 40s today. Maybe even easier since the knowledge of how to look around through records like this were more commonplace." Mali sighed, rubbing her eyes.

"Still, when it comes down to it, if you think there's something to this, don't let me stop you from looking into it. Most of this is just me trying to infer what would have happened with logic and half-remembered lectures from high school and Freshman year of college. And as far as Scooby Doo is concerned? I dunno. I think the California Gold Rush was like the late. 1840s to the mid 1850s, so I don't think Miner 49er would be incorrect."

And just like that, Camilla was whisked away to do who knows what for the Captain and First Mate leaving rich, old Lionel to figure out how to do everything involving the actual cooking himself. Sure he'd never cooked horse meat and there was a tฤ mฤ de dลซn of the stuff to be dealt with, but how hard could it be? Well, first he'd need to season the meat with some S&P, then tenderize it and chuck it into an oven/onto a grill. But how much should he prepare? And which method should he use?

Well there was way more here than the crew would be able to eat, no matter how hungry for actual food they were. Maybe next time he was in the the chance, he could pull out some cash from his personal fortunes to set aside for a dedicated Real Food fund. Even if it was just a bunch of cans of soup. Anything was better than those "rations." When Pearson chimed in, Lionel's first instinct was to tell him to piss off, but his rational side stopped him from saying as much. Given the sheer size of the task and his current condition, he was in no position to snub any offers for help.

"I would not dispute a bit of aid," he conceded, firing up the stovetop. "To start, you could help me find some of the ไป–ๅฆˆ็š„ cookin' implements. I wouldn't be surprised if we left everything out in the Black. 'D hardly be missed."

Cyneburg finished up her meal relatively quickly and decided it was high time she get ready to sleep. She yawned, covering her mouth but stretching wide, several joints in various places making fun little popping noises. All she had to do was find a good spot to curl up and hopefully get some restful sleep. Everywhere she turned her gaze only revealed that the area was more or less equally unappealing mud.

"Hey," Cyneburg said, an idea popping into her head that she was pretty surprised hadn't come up before. "Can we just leave Cremwise behind here? It's not like he's doing anything." Cremwise was off on the edge of the group, trying to eat in peace as far away as he could get without raising too much suspicion. Upon getting called out he tensed up and turned paler than a wight's desiccated rear end. It seemed like he had been doing his best to stay out of getting volunteered for this exact kind of situation.
Lionel post coming tomorrow probably.

Cyne was eating too much and too quickly to have really paid much attention to what was being said by anyone around the campfire beyond the subconscious level. And she was not eating in a ladylike or even particularly humanoid manner, she would lean down and grab hold of the meat with her teeth and then rip off hunks of cooked flesh like how a mammalian predator (such as a bear or wolf) would consume a large quarry. It wasn't until she had accumulated a decent amount of weight in her stomach that it clicked in her head not to eat like a wild animal. After regaining her sense of human reasoning, everything that had been said up to that point began to click in her head, the most poignant fact being that Satilla asked a question that seemed to be completely brushed off by the rest of the group.

"This is essentially all speculation Satilla, but if neither the humans or the orcs are the root cause of this supposed undead infestation we've been hearing about, then the only explanation is a third faction. I haven't a clue what might be motivating this third party, but they'd clearly need to be pretty magical in nature to have enough power to cause issues for such a large force like the orcs here. Maybe a hidden cult or something." Cyne shrugged, wiping meat juice from her chin.
Scratch that, the collab's pretty much complete. I waited too long. :/

I probably should have warned you about that.
Will get the new Power Rankings out ASAP

Which probably means tomorrow.
Carla Lobo

Every second that seemed to pass brought with it more and more bad omens and red flags for the situation. Enough to be worrying even for somebody like Carla. She didn't let it show, but it was disconcerting nonetheless. Quinn's preemptive admission of using deadly force on whatever Jahosafat was working on did not bode well. Quinn was a man of decisive action, but this felt a bit much, even for him. Such brooding and contemplation was short lived as the all the men left the room, headed either for the medical bay or in the case of Captain Quinn, the Captain's Quarters. Although she was loathe to admit it, with Quinn and Jahosafat gone, it felt as if two great weights were lifted from the room.

That said, there was no use in standing around here, her job was to provide security for Jahosafat and his experiments, it was paramount that she completed her mission. Even if security jobs were boring as all get out. Even more so for security aboard space ships. Planetside security jobs at least had a slight chance of seeing some action. Carla made her way over to the Med Bay just in time to hear the scientist ask Foy and Dr. Knochengeiger to carry some supplies back over to the Captain's quarters. She did her best to quietly hide herself away from the good doctor's sight as he left. Best not to bother him with her presence whenever possible. And it would probably be more important to guard the supplies. Make sure Foy and Friedrich don't get lost on their way towards Quinn.
