The Kryptonian could hear the whispers, the people around them did gave him all the information he needed but something still felt off. There was a hidden motivation, something he wasn't telling him. Superman met Donovan's gaze with a ferocity in his own eyes feeling all the more tempted to crush his brothers before his eyes and kill the Irishman right here and then but if there was a time for restraint, it was now. "I could easily kill you and you still want to make threats?" Superman questioned. Even after all that has happened, despite all their injuries Donovan remained defiant. "I'm plenty of things but I'm not a murderer. Not yet."

Sirens grew louder and louder and it wasn't long till the local police had finally arrived. Superman eyed their arrival and he could see the concerned look, their itch to draw their weapons out of fear. Recognizing that the situation was no longer his Superman casually dropped the brothers he held high off the ground, letting them crash into the concrete road with little concern while slowly lifting his boot off Donovan's chest. "I'm giving you a chance to rethink everything" Superman announced, deciding that a private conversation with the thugs was over. "I'm shutting it down. All of it." The Krypotnian turned and took a step towards the crowd. Despite having their full attention and various cell phones recording the situation, they all subconsciously took a step back as if they themselves were in the alien's target list. "To any... 'tough guys' that want to go around and start shooting each at other, I'm giving you all a chance to reconsider your actions. I'm here to stay and I'm not going to play nice to the next bunch of assholes that start shooting at people, I can promise you that." Another attempt to address the masses. His message would be in the news, it would be spread but either way it was either going to convince criminals to stay low, or take up Superman's challenge allowing him to find them.

Superman took one last look at the crowd, standing tall, strong and defiant. They would utter their insults or sing his praises but in the end he wasn't concerned with their opinion. Maybe he wasn't doing it as 'cleanly' at the others but whatever actions he would take from now on would be of no hesitation. Somebody had to make a clear, strong demonstration and enforce it so why couldn't be him? In one last showing of power Superman leaped into the air and accelerated into the sky with such force it was if the sky itself was split open leaving the crowd stunned below.

If it wasn't obvious before, it was clear now... Superman would be watching and yet another "super hero" was making his mark on the world.
@DragonofTheWest Ok sorry I've been gone for awhile but work and school really screwed me. Should be ok until late November probably. Right now I can post, but if I was gone too long then I'll bow out.

Superman eyed through all three of the men sizing them up one by one. For all intents and purposes these men weren't exactly in the right stand of mind and didn't particularly seem all that fond in cooperating. Still there was little doubt that these men were apart of something bigger, it wasn't some random attack. They were well armed and there was nothing ordinary about the weapon they used nor the target. As Superman privately debated his set course of actions he could hear the various whispers as onlookers continued to gather and watch and with sirens off in the distance it was a matter of time till the police and the press showed up something he wanted to avoid.

"Alright, so it's like that. We're going to play dumb huh?" Superman asked out aloud taking his time to look at each of the three men once more, eye to eye to make sure they got a good look at him and vice versa. "Ok... I'm in the mood for some games" Superman then leaned over, grabbing Angus and Pat by the neck and hoisted them high of the ground. Any attempts to strike at the caped man's arms and torso would have felt like they were hitting a brick wall. With both of his arms occupied Superman stepped forward, placing a foot on Donovan's chest, planting him into the concrete road. For several seconds Superman held them there being extra careful to ensure he didn't accidentally kill any of them but sure enough he knew they were more than uncomfortable. The crowd watching gasped with the occasional individual pulling out their cell phones to record said situation. Sure three men were being in danger but nobody dared to try and stop the chiseled physique of a man who was man handling three others with no effort.

Leaning in to talk in a volume only audible to the gathered men Superman smirked as he watched them struggle against his strength "Sucks doesn't it? You guys want to play dumb, well I can play also." And with that there was an ounce of increased pressure and the already superhuman grip somehow grew stronger.

"Since you assholes know who I am, let me remind you guys that I don't have a boss and you know what that means?" Superman paused as if he was trying to get an answer but continued to mock the three men. "It means I don't answer to nobody and that means I get to do whatever the fuck I want. Now I can make this easy, or I can make this really... fucking easy." Superman again applied another ounce of pressure. "You see I could crush all three of you instantly and nobody would be able to stop me but no that's too quick... way too fucking quick" Superman took his time, letting them suffocate and face the reality of an inevitable death "Hmm...Maybe I'll tear of your arms and beat you with them, or maybe I'll see if I can strap you on any left over rockets or better yet..." Superman's iris's begin to glow red "Or maybe I'll burn out your eyes or cook you guys alive, either way someone is going to talk" The pressure finally eased up, his eyes returning to normal. Superman needed them conscience, to think properly. Surely he had done enough to intimidate them.

"Now you guys are going to tell me everything. I want to know who you work for and where I can find them. I want to know what else you assholes are planning because I'm going to stop your little activities. Now if either of you lie to me, I'll find out somehow and there ain't nobody whose going to fuck you up the way I will so, whose going to volunteer?"

Inside the Vault

How unexpected, how unforgivable for a Jedi Master worthy to sit on the Jedi Council and a Sith Lord that was considered the Emperor's right hand man to be caught off guard. Perhaps it was fitting that the two warriors consumed in their fury to defeat one another deserved to be taken captive. The blow from Tartarus was powerful leaving the Sith and Jedi floating in and out of conscienceless. Perhaps if they hadn't openly committed to use their full power against one another they would have been able to will their bodies to move. Use of the force to enhance their strength, speed and as a combat ability was incredibly draining... it would be some time till they woke, the Covenant were their protection now.

Outside the Vault
The Sith Commandos had watched with uneasiness as they watched Dragos successfully navigate his way into the fault but the moment he entered the vault, the situation had escalated beyond their control. While they remained a a good distance away from the vault having used the ridge as protection it was evident they were severely outnumbered and outgunned and to make matters worst their helmets shared a camera feed of Dragos perspective.. and the Sith was compromised.

As per Sith military doctrine with Dragos currently out of action, leadership then went to 2nd in command of the task force Captain Fordo. With a silent command, Fordo urged the commandos back and towards their hidden craft nearby. The order went through and there were no arguments but each trooper had their own private thoughts on the matter and it wasn't long till one trooper voiced his displeasure. "With all due respect Captain, but Lord Dragos is still every bit alive and we still got a shot at getting him"

"No. Not by ourselves" The Captain replied. "We've sent word of our situation some time ago, Sith High Command has likely received our message by now and will work towards a solution. Once they arrive in the area we will inform them of Lord Dragos condition and efforts to retrieve him will be made"

"Thats not good enough." The trooper again responded, his tone showcasing his frustration as opposed to Captain's cool demeanor. Fordo raised his hand in a fist to pause the soldiers as the Captain approached the taller, unsatisfied trooper. Despite their helmets, Fordo's released a gaze that the trooper, whose faced remained hidden behind his mask could not ignore.

"We have two methods on keeping track of Lord Dragos. His helmet remains intact along with the tracker in his wrist. From the looks of it, they are taking him captive and will likely present him to their leadership. Lord Dragos anticipated a possibility such as this so keep your head together trooper, I will not have my order questioned again"

The frustrated trooper paused but then recalled the brief moment Dragos and Fordo shared before Dragos went towards the Vault. The image was clear, Dragos had tapped his wrist several times as a reminder that his tracker was on and operational and that in a worse case situation that would be a secondary source in tracking him. "Yes sir. Sorry sir" the disgruntled trooper replied as Fordo turned and lead the soldiers back into their hidden space transport. They would remain hidden for some time, monitoring the situation around them and await reinforcements.
"Hold! Hold!" Mason urged as the last of the Republic defenders watch helplessly stepping backwards emptying the clips of their weapons into the incoming hordes. The tanks while having delayed the opposition were about to be no more as Tartarus had smashed one tane while the other one had to contend with a even bigger beast. In a last ditch and defiant effort, the tank squaring off against the Vulkharr unleashed its full payload, firing its missiles from the three concussion missile tubes located at the top of the tank as the crew inside struggled to maintain concentration at the sight of such a beast knowing full well the circumstances they were in.

In all the chaos Mason's eyes widened as a he noticed a shadow like figure dash through the entrance of the vault ahead of the opposition. "That was... Dra-" In this distraction Mason felt several enemy projectiles enter his body dropping the proud soldier to his knees. The last thing he saw was a massive figure striking him in the face, ending his life.

Master Kavern lowered his head taking a moment to grieve as he could feel the last of the Republic's defenders fight nobly until the end. The lone Jedi stood there reflecting on his decisions feeling a sense of regret as Garuda shouted and cursed at him as the Hutt understood they were both bound to the same fate. The Huttese words went in and out the other ear, as Kavern refused to budge too consumed in his failure in his mission until he felt a familiar presence approach. Kavern could only turn and watch as the lone Hutt grasp as his throat, his eyes nearly pulsing out of his head as he struggled to breath as Darth Dragos approached with a hand extended towards the Hutt.

Kavern faced the Sith with a silent acknowledgement as he grasped the elongated hilt that hung on his belt line and with a simple button, the lightsaber staff came to life. With a quick twirl of his weapon Kavern stepped forward just a few feet separating the pair. "This place will be your tomb. It's fitting that you die in some shit hole"

Dragos focused his complete attention towards Kavern leaving the barely breathing Hutt alive. "I would have you destroyed you, all of you a year ago had the Emperor not call for the truce. You had slain your fair share of my comrades during the war but now I'll finish what was started, speak your last words Jedi, I'll give you that one last favor." The Sith hissed his voice amplified in a more sinister tone due to his signature war helmet. Dragos reached for his weapon grasping the decorated hilt and igniting his weapon, the main crimson blade coming to life as the side lateral vents produced small blades of their own.

Kavern glanced down at the cross guard lightsaber and nodded slightly as if to acknowledge that weapon had slain countless Jedi. It was partly intimidating to come across an opponent so skilled but the competitive nature in Kavern urged him forward, he himself had always wished to test himself against the Sith Lord and it was fitting their duel would be to the death. "To think you are the Republic's greatest enemy. History won't know any of this, shame..." The two squared off in silence as their weapons emitted a low pulsating sound.

Alas the lightsabers clashed in spectacular fashion, red vs blue, Jedi vs Sith. Both men were beyond masters in this form of warfare, both men attempting to punish even the slightest of mistakes. Dragos pressed the attack assaulting the Jedi with a variety of fast and heavy blows, smashing away at his opponents defenses. Kavern however constantly moved constantly rotating his blade to ensure a constant flurry of defensive actions to negate the intense Sith offensive. The tension in the room grew significantly as they both felt combatants closing in thus the duel escalated even further, the speed and power used amplifying as they both began to get desperate to finish of their foe so they can deal with the approaching crowd.

As the two force users took a bref step back away from one another Kavern extended his hand outward, levitating a pair of abandoned republic riffles into the air to focus fire on the Sith. Dragos eyed the approaching laser bolts deflecting them with his saber before extending his own free hand as a streak of lightning shot outward from his fingertips and vaporized the rifles. Trying to take advantage of the small opening Kavern leaped in the air striking downward but the Sith countered, locking their blades in place in a fierce dead lock. As both individuals struggled for positioning, their breathing heavy from the intense duel they were both too lost in the conflict to take note of the arriving Brutes..

Queens

He floated, several thousand feet in the sky and watched New York City and its 5 Boroughs go on about its businesss. Even since his "incident" he was nothing more but a public menace and his attempts to stay low didn't help people forget what had happened earlier in the year. Yet in recent days as a small group of heroes went about their business in doing what they can to deal with the rioters throughout New York, he did nothing... nothing but watch and stay silent.

Perhaps he should help them? Maybe meet them? Or maybe just stick to the Brooklyn streets he has come to know. Maybe this fantasy of doing the right thing, using his powers for good was just something his uncle sprouted but with no real truth to them. Flying was easy, his strength, easy but trying to concentrate, to keep his senses clear... that took effort. There was no use in being bombarded with all the random sounds if he wasn't going to do anything. Superman, or at least that is what they called him just floated away trying to be at peace, using his powers to give him a private moment where the world below went on and he was away from it until...

Explosions.

It was loud, too loud to ignore. With a focused gaze of intensity John turned his head in the direction of Queens and with a concentreated effort he could see smoke rising up through the air. He paused for a moment, hesitating but as the fires scorched the earth and the cries of people now filling the air Superman made up his mind. Hurling himself forward the thin air exploded around the Kryptonian as a sharp sonic boom echoed throughout the New York sky.

Racing through the air, Superman had closed the distance within seconds as he planted himself into the ground with authority. "This was no accident" The alien thought. As people scrambled away in the streets in panic or watched in confusion on what had just occurred, Superman kept his composure and took a deep breath before exhaling a strong burst of air over towards the flames to put them out. As the flaming embers died Superman watched with a quiet realization that there were people inside the building and their charred remains were all that was left of them. As the gathered crowd watched the dark caped individual take out the flames, there was sudden mixture of emotions.

Scanning the stunned crowd Superman addressed the crowd with a strong, clear tone though it came out more like a demand "Did anybody see what happened? Who did this?".Nobody uttered a word and Superman could see the uneasiness in their postures and facial expressions leaving the caped figure with nothing...until in his observation his ears caught the sense of a truck speeding away. Darting his head to the side and down the street, Superman watched as a truck speed with reckless abandon. "Something is not right" he silently thought. The Kryptonian lifted himself off the ground in preparation to move, he would go to confirm his suspicions.

"Alright, let's be careful this time" John reminded himself before extending his arms forward, willing his 6'5 frame through the air with incredible speed and force leaving the crowd below to cover their eyes from the winds generated from the speeding alien. Rapidly closing the gap, Superman focused his vision on the speeding truck as he peered inside resulting in his suspicions confirmed, the truck was carried the weapon responsible for the sudden attack. Knowing it was up to him to stop these criminals Superman raced ahead before the speeding truck before planting himself in the ground, several feet away. Superman smirked slightly, watching the truck's passengers confused reactions as the truck had no where left to go but collide into the Kryptonian. Superman had stood firm and emerged unscathed as the front of the truck had caved in completely and come to a complete stop, leaving the passengers inside immobile from the violent interaction. Casually walking to the side of the truck or what remained of it, Superman ripped off the side door and pulled the individuals out one by one, placing them before him. Folding his arms the Kryptonian stared down the individuals with enough intensity that if looks could kill, these men would be dead but fortunately for them, they still had some uses.

"Alright... so which one of you is going to talk first?"

As the firefight intensified by the vault, the Republic troopers were making their final stand. To retreat into the vault would have been suicide... the vault had hardly been accessed to and they would have been retreating into an area with no cover, no tactical advantage. The increased use of explosive arms consistently threw smoke, dust into the air as vision started to become increasingly difficult. Facing multiple enemies at multiple angles, it was becoming rapidly apparent that the Republic and their smuggler allies were facing an imminent death.

However through the sand storm, powerful laser cannons fired indiscriminately at the approaching Fallen and Covenant as a small opening in the firefight allowed for a pair of Republic tanks to squeeze through. With the tanks rotating their heavy main guns at the approaching hordes they consistently fired in the hopes of slowing their advance. "This is it boys! All you got! Make everything count!" Mason shouted in his comlink as a reminder that there would be no more reinforcements, this was it. Positioning itself several feet before the entrance of the vault the tanks formed a small defensive perimeter allowing retreating Republic troopers and smugglers to fall behind and use the tanks as cover. Through a small hatch, Jedi Master Kavern exited through the lead tank ducking his head to avoid an incoming plasma bolt as he reached for a heavy assault riffle that hung on the side of the tank. Peering quickly through the scope the master Jedi fired several quick bursts of accurate firepower into the enemy ranks but with the Covenant advancing with such heavy shock troops in the Brutes while another enemy advanced with void shields and heavy sniper fire. The arriving of the tanks serving as the last line of defense of the vault would prove valuable but they could only hold for so long.

Taking cover behind the tanks, Kavern manuvered his way through blaster fire as he linked up with Sergeant Mason.
"Good to see you sir!" Mason shouted trying to ensure their conversation was loud and clear.
"Use everything, hold nothing back" Kavern replied calmly as he took another peak into the fire fight.
"Multiple hostiles from multiple angles, hopefully they'll start shooting each other!" Mason quipped, a smoke joke in a serious situation.
"It would make this easier. Is there anything in the vault? Anything we can use?" Kavern questioned but Mason shook his head.
"You have to ask Garuda's fat ass himself! The vault is ancient, nothing nobody has seen before." Kavern nodded. "I'll check, Mason it's been an honor" It was almost like there was a silent acceptance they both acknowledged but they would not speak of it.
Mason simply nodded his head and shook the Jedi's hand firmly as they both repeated the words that created a strong bond among the Republic forces. "For the Republic"

Kavern raced into the vault, watching what was left of Gardua's men race towards the battle armed with rocket launchers and other advanced weapons leaving the Hutt by himself. Garuda turned after examining a wall to take note of the Jedi and cursed in Huttese knowing full well he might have just forfitted his entire army for secrets and weapons he would not live to enjoy.

"I didn't anticipate this to happen... yes I'm aware. Look unless you got more men somewhere or have any idea to get something useful out of here, it's over." Kavern explained. It was fortunate he understood the Hutt though the Hutt himself found himself too proud to learn Galactic standard. Suddenly Kavern turned his head back at the entrance and gritted his teeth... the Sith were here, he could feel it.
________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

At a small ridge that overlooked the fire fight Dragos stood with his men watching from afar trying to analyze the situation.
"Sir this range is rather optimal. We're clear to go." A trooper stated as he readied his weapon.
"No need trooper" Dragos explained. "It will be too risky if we all went in at once. Stay here and provide my opening and exit" Dragos replied as grabbed a pair of grenades in his hands.
"Sir?"
"The vault is lost. I just need to make sure Kavern dies." Dragos stood up fully as he prepared to slide down the hill. The Sith then eyed the task's force 2nd in command and raised his wrist and tapped it twice, an informal signal to the silent commando who nodded his head. Dragos nodded in reply as he slid down the sand hill and sprinted towards the firefight.

Adoring his Mandolorian T shaped visor helmet the Sith's HUD provided a full 360 degrees of vision along with a variety of useful advantages such as being able to magnify his vision or an infrared scanner. As the Sith closed in towards the fire fight, Dragos hurled the pair of smoke grenades in his hands, the thick grey smoke instantly exploding outward covering the Sith's entrance into the fight. With his task force safety out of the fight, any figures that saw the Sith arrive were downed immediately by cover sniper fire.

Activating his crimson lightsaber Dragos swiftly moved through the battlefield like a shadow, closing in on the vault using the chaotic battlefield conditions and what was left of the ruins to cover his movements. With a swing of his lightsaber any lone stragglers were cut down instantly as Dragos closed in toward his destination. Taking position behind a downed pillar Dragos took another quick observed view... the tanks were focused on the alien hordes providing him a small gap. With such heavy firepower focused on the enemy, they would be impossible to ignore, now it was a just a matter of when to make his advance.

Ruins outside of Garuda's Hive

The fighting for the fault was fierce and the Covenant proved to be a powerful adversary. The Republic troop task force, small in number compared to Garuda's private army were likely the only difference in what kept the Covenant away from the vault entirely. Garuda's henchmen while capable with their weapons hardly lacked the training, tactics and the overall composure to deal with such an advanced threat. Sergeant Mason was Kavar's right hand on the operation and he did what he could but the situation was looking grim, he had no choice but to try and contact the Jedi once more.

"Master Kavar, come in" It was almost like a plea at this point.

There was a brief pause but the Jedi finally replied "Sergeant, what's the situation?"

"There's additional contacts! We're holding them off but we've taken some casualties. We are on the verge of getting swarmed!"

"Copy, I'll be there shortly. Any attempts to find the Sith?"

"Negative. If they attempted to make contact with the Destiny Ascendant we would know it but I like to think they are more concerned about the vault then the arrival of these other ships"

"Makes sense. Dragos won't negotiate, he's in no position to do so. As long as we can delay the Sith long enough from reaching the vault..."

"Sir are you implying...?"

"Dragos likely is about to or has contacted his fleet by now. It will be in Imperial code, we need to decipher it immediately to figure out what we should do with the vault. I don't care what Garuda says...I'll deal with the Hutt when I arrive, stopping the Sith is our only priority" Kavar ended communications as he was arriving with the other Republic reinforcements that were in the city. Rapidly approaching the vault from a distance, a pair of Republic tanks prepared its weapons

With various unknown hostiles among the ruins the Republic forces and Garuda's gang were forced to fall back closer to the vault. By backing towards the vault they were surrendering more room and possibly any chance to escape but they the increased amount of debris would serve as better cover while keeping their firing ranges tighter.

Meanwhile

Hidden from view but close enough that they can hear the fighting in the distance, the Sith task force had gathered in full strength by the Imperial stealth craft. The small group of 20 commandos plus the Sith Lord himself were going over final preparations.

"These other ships will be aware of our presence. They will know we exist. They will see the code, they will attempt to decipher it. Our objectives are simple. We head towards the vault, we kill Kavern, we go home. If we can destroy the vault, we will, if we cannot we'll let these other factions fight all over it." Dragos announced as he paced back and forth within the circle that consisted of his men. The men listened intently securing their weapon loads and final instructions fully knowing they were going to enter a fire fight.

"What of the others in orbit, they will likely come to investigate... maybe won't be too happy we didn't come to their little gathering." A commando questioned as he took a quick peak through the scope of his riffle before looking at the Sith in his eye, giving him his full attention.

"That is why speed and efficiency is key to this mission. As much as I'd like to meet all these foreign commanders we are in no position to do. We are vulnerable. Whatever reinforcements comes will arrive just outside the system and make their way towards Aurora. Exiting hyperspace right on top of Aurora could be disastrous for our ships. If we need to wait, so be it. Now first things first..." Dragos gripped his helmet and placed it over his head, his voice deepening having been modified by the helmet to give the Sith a more darker and intimidating presence.

"Let's go hunt a Jedi"

The message sent to Imperial Sith space was long and complicated to the point most other factions would assume it was gibberish or too foreign to translate. While details weren't complete, its purpose was to notify any receiving allied Sith ships that the Galactic Center was now filled with several, powerful foreign factions and that arriving in the system would likely lead to a military engagement...
