Just spewing out my thoughts, wouldn't the Gashathi be considered the Forerunners or even Precursors by the Covenant? Technically speaking the backstory of the Gashathi is the same as the theirs, being the oldest living beigns in the galaxy (I guess I kinda missed that backstory, but can you blame me for not copying that one part from a 60k NS at 1AM?) who were also almost destroyed by something very similar to the Flood. And between you and me, I did take some merit of inspiration from them.

I'd be happy to collab with them, since both of our races are looking for the long abandoned technology of their ancestors.

Personally, I don't think they would. After the prophets found out that the humans were at one point, on the same level of technology and were just as old as the forerunner, they waged war against them because that knowledge would break the covenant in two. They might form an alliance or they might hate you. I dont speak for the covenant in this scenario though.

There was some talk in the Discord in regards to bringing in a supposed "universal enemy": a threat so large everyone's gotta deal with it. Mostly just putting it here to have it in more concrete record. Raknarion has kinda tried to fit the Covenant into this type of role as a public enemy (we'll see just how much a threat it actually becomes). A few suggestions have been passed around casually but as of now I don't think anyone has any intent to act on this idea.

Well, this is interesting. I see two Asari factions, two Fallen, the RNGesus forsaken Ethereals, Sith, and some interesting originals. I still have to read through the IC but I'm tentatively interested from the OOC and CS section, even with the discussion of power creep.

Now to read the posts and decide on calling a Waagh to the Galaxy...

Hmm, the CS tab roused my curiosity but reading the IC, I don't see much room for another Supremacist civilization without prompting some massive power creep and igniting the present IC powder keg. Sorry, I'll withdraw my interest here.
