Character You Wish To Play: Pietro Maximoff - Quicksilver

Character Origin & Backstory: Having never known who their real parents were, Pietro and his fraternal twin sister Wanda both grew up in the presence of Erik Lehnsherr, a former holocaust survivor who claimed he was a good friend of their parents. The two grew up in the war torn Sokovia, where even from an early age they fought against the corrupted Sokovian Government at Erik's urging. While Wanda was very much for about the cause, Pietro wasn't quite as much, however he deeply cared for Wanda and went along with everything more to keep her safe rather than fighting the power.
As Pietro and Wanda grew older their X-Genes became activated and an already active and impatient Pietro gained superhuman speed. Making him even more impatient and irritable. Still he held to his own convictions and using their powers the two worked in guerrilla operations together until Erik Lehnsherr took Pietro aside and offered him a chance to do some work in another area.
With the growing number of mutants causing civil unrest. Pietro joined his adoptive father in The Brotherhood. There though he watched Erik clashing with respected college Charles Xavier on how to handle the crisis. The more of it he watched, the more Pietro lost respect for his adoptive father and in a moment that shocked everyone involved. Told Erik he was staying with Xavier when Erik left to form his own group.
Legally adopted and registered into a US citizen. Pietro didn't join the X-Men as it was being formed, instead wanting to find himself as all his life he had seemingly done things for other people. He discovered punk music and movies, both of which gave him a kind of joy he never really had before. He started learning how to play guitar as a hobby and has an impressive DVD and VHS collection. Though considering his snarky and simple minded approach to problem solving left Xavier cautious about having someone he viewed as the son he didn't realize he wanted being in the X-Men. Especially considering that Pietro's adopted father was rapidly becoming an enemy. Making Charles worry about where Pietro's allegiances will lay. However Pietro has assured Charles that he wants nothing to do with his former father. Having gone so far as to dye his normally white hair brown to show his changed ways. While he searches though for his sister Wanda however, Pietro has put his attention to being a part of the X-Men. Knowing that he's got a long way to go in order to earn their trust.
Power and Abilities: Able to reach speeds around 770 mphs, aka the speed of sound. All while not suffering from any wind or frictional problems. With his powers Pietro has very high reaction times, and can accomplish feats such as running across the top of water, running up the side of buildings, and running in a circle fast enough to create whirlwind vortexes. Though he hasn't quite perfected it yet, Pietro can also vibrate the molecules in his body fast enough to essentially phase through solid objects.
Sample Story Arcs: - Pietro's first and foremost goal is to show his new found teammates in the X-Men that he can be trusted despite his past.
Pietro after some time searching finds Wanda only to realize she's changed for the worst.
- (Hypothetical idea) When the X-Men have Pietro play double agent and join the Brotherhood as a means of stopping them from inside. Pietro struggles with finding complete acceptance in the group and has to choose if he can stay loyal to the X-Men.

Pietro sighed irritated as he glanced back over at the clock, 10 pm. Once again all he could do was regret making it to the bar so quickly as the rest of his friends were apparently taking their sweet time. Sure Pietro could of just borrowed one of Xavier's cars and just drove to the sleezy bar like a normal person. But that wasn't Pietro's style at all. Plus just sitting in New York City traffic would've been worst. Gritting his teeth Pietro ran fingers though his chocolate brown hair as he glanced around. It was hard to explain it to someone who didn't understand. But while they were all suppose to meet up around 10, even just the few minutes of waiting was killing the Eastern European.
Finally though they all arrived, Pietro had to bite his tongue as he said his greetings to them while holding back the string of expletives he wanted to spew out for them making him wait around and drive a screwdriver while the band was doing its last tune ups. For all he knew though Pietro's friends didn't know about his superhuman running. They have said they were completely cool with mutants in discussions in the past. However as Pietro would say to other mutants, “My powers are no body's fucking business...”
“Alright so what the Hell band is this?” Pietro asked, his voice still dripping with the Eastern European accent his always had, as the performers were on stage about to start. “They're called The Dazzlers, some group out of LA.” One of his friends called back as the feedback from the speakers hissed off of a plugged in guitar. The lead singer, a woman who looked pretty frail but dangerous enough to not want to say it to her face, stepped up to the microphone with a snarl.
“IF YOU DON'T LIKE THE SHOW YOU CAN KISS MY F---ING A--!!!”
“Ah she's a woman after my heart...” Pietro half-joked as the band started into their first song.
