@lydyn, I'm not quite sure if a strict 10 slots for the whole RP is a good idea. Considering how this is a collaborative effort, if any one player were to suddenly drop due to real life issues (and this is almost a given for this time of year, finals are a nightmare to some people!), the results would be disastrous.

Considering how all the characters will start off separated from one another, I feel that letting everyone join (assuming their sheets are acceptable) and seeing who stays with the RP long enough to join up with the group would be best.

Speaking as a veteran roleplayer, a relatively nonlinear story like this works best with a plethora of players, as each of them can continue the story even in your absence.
Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria

Julius Aldo chuckled sinisterly. This brutish-sounding "Arragoz" fellow didn't know a thing about his allegiance Shocker+, and possibly Shocker+ in general! Knowing the high command of Shadow Eternity, it would take at least a month for news of Shocker+ to spread through the grapevine, if ever. Taking him down and sabotaging the mission on Nox would be a cakewalk, if the Leader had gotten this desperate for troops!

"I'll see you there, Mister Arragoz. I hope you find our skills to your liking. Remember, sir: if we can't satisfy your expectations, we demand only half of our payment. Hail Shadow Eternity and hail The Leader!"

With a sly grin, Aldo yelled to the patrons of the pizzeria. "We've got a location where we can meet the Shadow Eternity stooge! Any of you boys want to stomp a mudhole in some two-bit thug, you come to me! We move in five minutes!"
I think @Irisity and I have worked the kinks out of Asher's Ybella and Mylisant's Ybella. We should be good to go!
I've been reading through the loads of posts I've been missing, and I've noticed something. A lot of characters who were pretty jerky (in the sense that they had motivations that motivations that weren't wholly altruistic) were rejected for being jerky and could cause issues in the party. I mean, I can understand not wanting party conflict, but the clear differences between characters is one of the big things that keeps a party's interesting nature alive.

Ehhh... and that gloryhound stuff doesn't really fit either. If this were a role-play where death was possible, he'd probably endanger himself or everyone.

What does this mean? Is character death something we're going to not experience?

I'm sure I'm reading this wrong, but it seems like we're going to mainly be playing an RP where all the characters are friends all the time and never go into any danger that would actually endanger our characters.
@Balmung1100 Oh no, I'm a big Runescape lore buff. What I'm more looking for is a general idea of what we'll be doing in the RP. A general skeleton of the RP's plot.
Sounds interesting. Can I get a basic plot setup for what we're going to be doing?

*Bites lip* ... it's quite possibly they will be in danger and maybe even die. Are you really sure you want to keep this part of his character? Unlike Asher, they are not power houses and not likely masters of anything (since masters are pretty rare as it is, it just made sense legendary characters were also masters of their trade). Of course, the group might try and guard them, but no one really has any idea what is in store for them along this journey. I don't even fully know (I don't plan super specifics but instead a general plot so players can interact and change things freely).

If Asher's family comes along, so do the rest of the Many Banners. A group of four professional, highly-trained warriors should be enough to maintain relative safety. Of course, they won't be quite good enough to mount a full offensive on any major enemies, but they will be enough to defend the group's assets.
@Earnest Evans I wouldn't mind, but you did not pm and ask me. I created Ybella and you added on things I did not consent to.

I apologize for that, I didn't realize I should have PM'd you. Is there anything about my depiction of Ybella that you want changed?
<Snipped quote by Earnest Evans>

Just a quick note that I want addressed before looking again - I didn't mean his father and mother. The family I was referring to is his wife and children. Why would he leave them behind? Or does he plan on dragging them along for the ride? xD I mean, does he not see his wife and children as important people in his life? Almost seems like... they're just there because it was expected of him vs. actually being in love.

The medieval thing I can kind of accept, even though this is a medieval fantasy and some things are expected to be different, but a lot of people consider 16-18 adults too - so that's cool.

WILL BE LOOKING AT EVERYONE ELSE SHORTLY!~

Oh no, his wife and children are following him. There was quite a lot of instances of this happening in medieval times, in the form of camp followers. Throughout the history of organized warfare, armies needed someone to clean the soldiers' clothes, cook their food, and keep their morale up. To that end, soldiers often brought along their families. Asher found Isabel because she was the daughter of one of the healers in the order. Because neither of them really could just desert, the two hit it off together and got married through one of the order's chaplains.

The juicy details of Asher's romance isn't quite something I'd like to divulge right now, as it's supposed to be a way to subtly build his character. If I let everything loose just right now, I wouldn't have much to reveal when the time came to flesh my character out!
@Irisity, I hope that I haven't stepped on any toes in setting my character in Ybella. The concept of a land that has a heavy focus on mercantilism and heavy regard for the capital elite is fascinating to me, and so I tried to expand upon that with Asher.

@lydyn, I've added more detail to my character, and altogether made it easier to read. Hopefully, he'll be able to serve as a foil to several characters.
