Steven grips the controls as he closes his eyes for a moment. You got this. You are the wind that carries the eagle, the fins that steer the shark... You are the pilot. And you are the best in the Universe. Suddenly, images of his brothers pops into his mind and the pilot quickly opens his eyes. His face had changed. What was, just a few minutes ago, a carefree, smart ass expression had transformed into a focused, determined look. "Alice, I want power rerouted from the engines to the power steering. I want full mobility." After flipping a few switches he turns the ship so that the main weapons would have clear shots and the drop ships would have the fastest, safest descents. "Also, Alice, scan for any weak points in the rebel frigate."
The year is 2015, the back drop for this dark tale is Crime City, USA. Located in the state of California Crime City has the highest murder, theft, drug use, organized crime, and general crime rates in the US, and they rank pretty high up there internationally as well. You sorry sacks of shit are the only thing standing in between the crime syndicates and psycho murderers of this city and the innocent that have found themselves in this god forsaken place. Welcome to the CCPD.
In this RP you will be a member of the CCPD, a member of the criminal organizations, or a serial killer. However, I would like to keep most of the characters in the Police Department and only a few on the opposite side. Also, I would like a variety of characters, not just a bunch of detectives. A few are fine, but I also want Beat Cops, SWAT member, helicopter pilots, etc. A wide variety. I will be controlling the Chief, dispatch, the leaders of the criminal organizations, and a serial killer or two. The ones we will start with are listed below.
Chief
Garvey is a 42 year old man that has gained some chub since he was first promoted to Chief. He is of mixed race, African American and Hispanic to be exact. He is balding yet grows a clean cut beard. Garvey, out of work, is a family man. He lives in one of the nicer parts of Crime City and is the father to 3 children. His wife died in a car accident 3 years ago. Garvey is a strict but patient and caring boss and man. He has a soft spot for the Beat Cops. He is determined to improve this city, improve it to one that he can be proud to say he lives in.
Gangs
El Perros Del Diablo is a decades old Hispanic gang that finds its roots in protecting innocents from other gangs. Currently, however, they are one of the most viscous gangs there is. They have created a drug trade empire that runs from Crime City back and forth into Mexico. Every member is extremely loyal and would rather do life in prison rather than rat out a fellow Devil Dog. However, if there is ever a betrayal or a witness testifying against them, there are severe consequences. They go missing, and days later a headless, limbless corpse is found floating in Lake Dakota. Their color is black and they are frequently seen wearing the jerseys of the local NFL team, the Crime City Hounds. Their common weapons are small arms, knives, and machetes.
After the hiatus of the Mafia, it has made a big comeback in Crime City. Running multiple drug trade operations, prostitution rings, blackmailing city officials, murder, and many other crimes. They tend to wear suits or civilian clothing. Most members have to be part Italian. To be a high ranking member (or a made man) your heritage has to be able to be traced back to the old country. They typically brandish knives, sub machineguns and other small arms.
The First Street Rough Riders are arguably the most dangerous and hated gang in the city. They constantly kill random civilians, other gang members, and police officers. The only people they care about is themselves, killing and looting everything else like bandits. They either attack in numbers or shoot and run. They wear red. They typically carry assault rifles, shot guns, bats and knives. They carry out hits for money and sell looted things. They seem to be just agents of chaos.
Serial Killers
In the quiet, closed community of Cabount Hill a murderer is on the loose. This psycho kills women from the ages of 40-60 from a single throat slash. He then, post death, removes the head and places three long slashes on the victim's face. One across the eyes, one across the nose, and finally, a Glasgow smile. He has had 3 victims so far, and is still on the loose.
That's it so far. There will be more that show up as the RP advances.
The RP will work like this. There will be an entry from the gangs/serial killers describing plans or a crime along with a message from the chief. Then, there will be dispatch messages calling out for local officers to check it out for example:
And it'll be up to you guys to respond to them. They may or may not have to do with the entries by the criminals.
Each of those will mark a new day beginning, with all the crimes being dismissed or solved marking the end of the day. Of course, in between your characters will have interactions with each other along with friends and family.
Thanks, I actually used a combination of EDI from Mass Effect and Serina from Halo Wars to create Alice. Of course, the snark and the sarcasm have been turned up and I'm unsure if Potato want to continue on having some of a EDI/Joker relationship with Alice and Steven at this time though.
Probably. I mean these two have to work together to run the ship. They're gonna develop a relationship. I'm not sure they're gonna start dating like Joker And EDI though Lol.
@Lord Coake Sans laughs off the glare and looks at the Captain through his shades with a smirk. "Ya know, Cap, I'm the best pilot in the UESA, and you are a first time captain, so how about I call you Captain as soon as you call me "Petty Officer Sans, the Best Pilot in the Universe". Plus, I'm pretty sure that cigar there isn't regulation." Steven sits back down and smiles at Stirling. "You sure you're not just a little bit nervous?", Steven leans back and props both his feet up on his console, "I'd be nervous. But I'm sure your crew will pull you through, even if you suck at the whole captain thing. I mean, you have the best of the best of everything, especially pilot. Well, I mean, the AI is," at this point Steve raises his voice as if talking loud enough for Alice to hear,"VERY LACKLUSTER. But, ya know, I think we'll be fine. You tight asses always turn out to be decent leaders." He gives the Captain a closed mouth smile then turns back to his console and begins looking everything over again.
