Adam smirks from the floor. "Not quite, Arty." He grabs the scythe blade and pushes up just enough for him to roll out from underneath. He grabs his weapons with bloodied hands and springs to his feet, grinning madly.

He dodges each of the slashes, but doesn't expect the final blow. He drops his right khopesh and grabs the staff as he stumbles backwards. He makes eye contact with Artimes, eyes burning. "That's more like it!" he shouts, driving her backwards with a tight grip on the scythe. He yanks it backwards out of her hands and throws it to the side. "C'mon!" he roars.

He lunges forward, ducking beneath the swing. He hooks her leg with his khopesh and rises behind the scythe swing, pulling her down hard. "See? There's none of your usual drive to win," he tsks and unhooks her leg, moving out of scythe range.

"Really," he shoots back, dancing backwards to avoid the swing. It tears into his shirt and leaves a small bright red cut. "You may be fighting at full strength, but you're definitely not using all of your usual tricks," he says, surging forward and slashes towards her with one blade, ready to block with the other.

Adam blocks the strike and hooks both blades between his khopeshes. He pushes forward towards her and circles the swords, forcing her to drop them. "Cute, but not quite good enough yet, Arty. I'm beginning to think you don't want the drink," he teases, kicking her swords back behind him several yards.
