After a brief argument conversation, Adam convinces Max to return to the others with him. He tears open a portal to where Jacob had told him, and he ushers Max through. "I'll be right with you. I just have someone to see," he says. He casts a quick scrying spell and finds Artimes. He opens a new portal and steps through, narrowly avoiding getting hit in the head with a jar of mayonnaise. "Uh, hi?"

Adam smiles widely. "There you go! Okay. I'll meet you there once I've got Max. Give me a few hours at most, and if I'm not back, raise the alarm." He salutes her and easily tears open his own portal, much more in-practice. He steps through, effectively scaring the, "shit!" out of Max.
Adam grins nervously. "I'm sure she would, but we still need to get Max. Kerian, how do you feel about joining up with us again?" he asks, quickly changing the subject.

Leila looks like she was punched in the gut when Sage tells her that she has had justice. She wordlessly sees him off, then makes her way back into the shop. She gazes at the shelves upon shelves of plants that she has worked so hard for, and something inside her shifts. "Hey, Jeremy! How do you feel about a promotion?"

Adam shakes his head. "I don't, but I can guess." At Kerian's greeting, he spins around, but relaxes. "Kerian. How are you?" He raises an eyebrow at Winter's weapon offering. "Why- Never mind."

"Hey, wait!" Leila calls, hurrying after him. She follows him out the door, but points back to an array of crystal suncatchers that throw rainbows through the front windows. "Just Iris me, then. Leila Scott," she says. Then she processes what he said. "Wait, justice? What do you mean by that?"

Leila flushes. She looks conflicted for a second, but then flips over the receipt and writes down a number. "I don't have a personal phone, but this is the shop's phone, and I'm always here," she says hurriedly. She freezes and looks back at him again. "You wouldn't happen to have . . . a special parent, would you?" she asks.

And yes, I got the chill too, but they don't have their memories yet." He pauses and looks into her eyes. "You know I'm here for you if you need anything, right?"
