Dun dun dun, another one bites a tree stump, dun dun dun, another gets hit by a bus, and another one gone and another one gone... My sense of humor is dark.

Not long now... the time approaches ever quick...

Bio

You know the whole song and dance, I'm Eric, not really though, and I'm that one anti-social shy guy with a decent sense of humor and a love for Roleplays, stories, and all that good stuff. I honestly spend more time here then I should, but real life sucks, we all know that.

Although I can get behind just about any kind of roleplay, I have a passion for horror themed ones, but honestly, anything is fun.

My characters aren't the most amazing, original, or even interesting, most of them are pretty standard, thankfully I try to avoid the Mary/Gary sues when building characters.

| DR. SAM CRANHAM | | 27 | | MALE |

| BIOTECHNOLOGIST | | GRAY-ASEXUAL |

At exactly 5'11, Sam stands slightly above the crowd. His wavy brown hair is kept at a decent length, away from his chestnut brown eyes. Unless the occasion calls for contacts, he's often seen wearing glasses. He weighs in at around 162 lbs, and being on the thin side, his clothes sometimes feel a bit big on him, even if they look fine. He dresses very business casual under his lab coat.

Born in Denver, Colorado, Sam lived in a family of four, as the first born son of a banker and a somewhat successful actor. Sam was the one to take care of his younger sibling, his sister Josie, since their parents were often out, their jobs absorbing much of their time. Sam always had a curious mind, which aided in his studies in school. He didn't have perfect grades, especially when it came to subjects like English, as his social awkwardness made pubic speaking difficult for him. When the day came that was to head out to University, his mother quit her job as an actor to take over the care of his sister, meaning he had no need to worry about how his sister would fare.

University was one of the most peaceful times in his life, as he no longer had to worry about anyone but himself, and his grades in Biology and other related subjects swiftly rose, as his studies in Biotechnology began. He wanted to recreate humanity, in fact, it had been his goal since childhood. Humans were always in a rush, so what if he extended their lifespans? Maybe he could force humanity to evolve ahead of time? With his goal in mind, his time in University passed quickly, and within four years, he had his Ph.D.

He applied to several research facilities, however, he got a reply from a site he hadn't applied to, in fact, he wasn't even aware of it's existence until he received the invitation. It was then, that the experiments could truly begin.

Although his intelligence is rather high, Sam spent many of his years studying and caring for his sister, so he never had any friends, nor the time for them. He has little idea of how to act around others, so he always sounds like he's plotting somebody's death when he speaks to others. Being asexual, he holds no feelings of sexual desire towards others, though he is perfectly capable of falling in love, though the facility is the first place he's had time to even breath in.

He's often thinking about new ways to genetically engineer new mutations in humans, and can often be found "Moping About" when an experiment fails to yield results. He actually holds a surprisingly amount of empathy for the subjects, though he rarely shows it, and is far more attached to them then he should be.

He's a listener over a talker, and thinks before he acts, so he's often hesitant to proceed with particularly dangerous tasks, with good reason.

Jason Green

Location:
The School's Interior, The Lounge
Interactions:
Open

The doors from one of the offices pushed open, and out stepped a hooded figure. Hooded, but not particularly menacing on first glance. In fact, one probably wouldn't think much of them if they happened to be around to see the hooded one, at least not on first glance. Normal humans probably would have a least felt a shiver, but that was when the hood was down. The wearer of the hood remained rather silent as they stepped out of the nurses office, in deep thought as to the events that had unfolded prior. Much had occurred in the past week, and he was still trying to wrap his brain around it. Jason Green had been a not so average kid about a month ago, although not very social and constantly paranoid, his life had been a simple one.

A little over a week ago however, was when his life changed, and he found himself here, in the Ashford Institute for the Gifted, which he had previously assumed was one of those fancy private schools that you had to be rich and extremely intelligent to get into. Being neither of those with only an above average intelligence score, and a family that lived in an apartment, he never had even thought of trying to get into the place. Of course, now he actually knew what the school was for.

He had been put through many tests over the past week, as they wanted a full test of what his powers could do, alongside his normal capabilities. Jason was never an exercise nut, in fact he only ever ran when he was in the mood for moving at a quicker pace, or he was late for something, so many of the tests had left him somewhat tired. He apparently was a later arrival, and there were many other students already within the school grounds. Some of the testers had encouraged him to go interact with them before classes began the next day, so he found himself heading in the direction he thought the Lounge to be.

Being the newest addition to the school, he figured he'd be target for at least one of the local bullies, as that was how it worked with his previous two schools and even the short time he'd spent in college, which was one of the reasons he'd been discovered. As he left the ten foot radius of the nurses office, the presence of mutants disappeared, and he breathed a sigh of relief. He was alone, at least until he found the Lounge.

Apparently, next to the telekinesis, the ability to detect mutants was also one of the abilities he had had for most of his life. He always knew when mutants were around, or at least when they were close to him. It was a rather annoying mutation, 'Mutation' was what they had called his abilities, as being in small rooms like the nurses office with more then one mutant sent off the equivalent of a fire alarm in his brain. It wasn't loud or anything, but the ability was more annoying than anything. He honestly hoped they could do what they said and help him control it and the rest of his mutations... oh there it was.

He was broken from his train of thought when his eyes landed on the entrance to what he could only assume was the Lounge area, which contained several of what he could also only assume were his fellow students, unless the teachers were really good at blending in.

He wasn't tired enough to bother heading to one of the unclaimed rooms, but he had never been one to start a conversation, so he went with the easiest option, he plopped himself onto a chair, ran a hand through his bangs, still with his hood on, as the zipper on his backpack, the only thing he had with him besides the clothes on his back, trembled, and unzipped itself, a fictional book floating out, trembling the entire way, before moving to face level, and dropping into his hands. He had been meaning to get some reading in, and now was as good a time as any. Unwinding after a long week was essential for keeping a comfortable lifestyle.

Application and stuff. :P

Alrighty then, there's that, that took a bit longer then I expected, ah well, anyways, I'm leaving him as a bit of an open character if you wanted to know, he'll grow and his story will possibly be revealed and such as time goes on or people get curious. Which they probably won't. XD

Room for one more? ^^

Alright, I've tried thinking on a few NPC characters that might live within the city, so here's two, alongside one location, since it's a staple. I went into a little more depth then I should have, but I wanted to flesh them out a bit.

And there we go. Sorry if that took a bit long. It can be tweaked if you so wish. ^^

@PaulHaynek Alright, sorry for the inconvenience. ^^
