Ooh, I like that idea a lot. I can just picture Holmes sulking in a corner, pouting. Also, selling the child? That could lead to serious confusion. But, honestly, do we want to make it easy for them? Of course not!

Well, I was thinking something that sounds so basic, Holmes wouldn't bother with it. If it seemed like the child was missing, but was actually kidnapped and the criminal left clues as to what had happened that would be a good mystery for them to solve. A ransom, however? That could be in the clues as well.
