[Interest Check] Masks- A New Generation

Andrea's of a comparable ge to Hana, and yes (for the sake of simplicity, and 'cause it means something can go down at the school ^~^). Don't have to know them, but do we really want the super awkward meeting-up? I mean, she wants to kiss one of them and they've never even met, which is totally normal in HS and all, but she told one of them all about her doom. How exactly does that work out? I mean...it's possible, but not likely, if they don't know each other.

Tell me a little about Andrea's doom. When her doom comes, what does it consist of? Why would endangering innocents and straining too hard bring her 'Doom' closer to her?

Also, what sort of deal did her ancestor make with Mephistopheles? Why would he do such a thing?

I hadn't thought that out yet...likely relinquishing all control of her body and mind to Mephistopheles when she gets too similar to him (and is therefore more attuned to his control power).

The deal was in exchange for quite a bit of power in exchange for what Mephistopheles referred to as the ancestor's soul. Lots of fine print later...yeah, it gets passed on ad infinitum. Why? Hadn't thought of that either, but I suppose it's important. ^//^ Probably something selfish like revenge. That's usually how it goes. Maybe he got Captain Hammered with his girlfriend.

Backstory
- When did you first learn of your doom? When my father told me of our legacy, and why we fight Mephistopheles.
- Where did you get your sanctuary? It has been shared by all generations of Faust. I merely inherited it.
- How is your nemesis tied into your doom? My great, great grandfather made a deal with him for power. This deal is passed on to the first-born child, which we must have to complete a portion of our part of the deal. We get our powers directly from him, but thanks to some poor contract interpretation skills, none of us can ever live full lives, or cancel the contracts. The deal itself was for just power in general, in exchange for his soul. Soul, by Mephistopheles' standards just means the deal is unending through the line until he feels like it's been long enough. Don't know why he felt like it was a good idea.
- Who, outside of the team, is crucial to facing your nemesis? Anyone who's willing to help me break the contract or kill Mephistopheles. But as for specific people, none come to mind. Really, anyone who can keep me from getting too much like him is good enough. Can't have myself becoming an easy target for his mind control.
- Why does the team matter to you? Having more people around means I may be able to defeat my nemesis. It's that simple. Plus, it's nice to have people around. Not that I like them or anything. But they do help keep me normal. Without them, I'd probably be...I don't know. Fine. They give me the ability to be a person who's not some monster or anything. I get to be good, and have people who motivate me to be more different from Mephistopheles. I don't particularly look forward to being under someone's control for eternity.

I hadn't gotten that far yet. I hate to step on toes.
I was considering Transformed, too.
I actually hadn't considered anything past "I want to enjoy doomsigns and the like", so probably Doomed, but Transformed can get them later.
Personality will probably be my usual, which is...oddly similar to Ruby from...well...ja, RWBY. >.>
Or I could go with my Doomed-with-Legacy-backstory-stuffs that I did for another if you'd allow it. It was very Faustian (what with the hero name "Doktor Faustus" being passed on from parent to child and the same immortal supervillain following them around since the beginning). Mind you, that broke lore, since the book was based on the book itself, and this supervillain (Mephistopheles) was that same one...so way before supers were a thing...
Can easily modify it to work. I could go with a regular Doomed character and still do that if you have something against the Legacy mix (which is totally acceptable and understandable).
Never really got to play as that one so she'd be new to me, too.

On another note: probably playing Doomed. Weird that when they sent the final book in the backerkit, it didn't come with the playbooks. Not that I don't have several copies of them already, but still...I have my prerelease ones. They're probably unchanged. ^~^

The troll tenses up unexpectedly, then relaxes just as suddenly. "I never talk money on the first date." He smiles lecherously at Jackie. "But for you, I'll make an exception. Be lucky it's not your...friend there. The one who stands like like a soldier, but probably never killed a man. A real man, anyway." He makes a dismissive motion to Rivet. "We're talking a clean 7.5k." He emphasizes the "k" way too hard, before leaning in conspiratorially. "Just go in, take Mr. Kawasaki by the hand, and escort him out. But see, I'm not offering 7.5 for it 'cause it'll be easy to get in. But for a group like you, sure. You could probably get in. See, they keep him locked up. Not literally, of course, just in a lab." He leans back. "I trust you can figure out how to get past that. All I ask is you bring him here. 3PM. Three days from now. I'm sure he'd love a nice...sandwich or something. Don't you?"

A slight hesitation. "Right. His name's not actually Kawasaki. Just can't be assed to remember some foreigner's name. Anyway, address is here. What little our little spies have gotten. Had trouble reading it. No vowels. Guess they didn't get much time to write it. Don't care. Not my problem anymore. I trust you've got a more...caring touch?" He throws a plain, cheap-looking datachip on the table. Like the kind you could easily get in a pack of a thousand for a single nuyen, tops. This thing looks old as hell.
