That is quite possibly the most perfect start to a sentence I have ever read...

so here is a list of characters i'm interested in reimagining. I'd like some input on which idea is best

Hulk- Banner is always on the run trying to find a cure, becoming dark and brooding. Hulk is both strong and smart, but his speech has become essentially one word sentences (Smash, leave alone, ect)
Galactus- now an amnesiac human, he is really the World Eater trapped in a human body forced to learn more about life. He has the power to disintegrate everything he touches and transmute the energy into a longer lifespan
Ultron- he starts out human, slowly becoming more machine-like while his personal and love life gradually worsens, taking him down the path of his 616 self
Night Thrasher- think Marvel's Kick Ass

Go for what ever. It would probably be harder to convince me on your Galactus idea, but it all depends on how you sell it. All very interesting ideas.

It's not really the sort of game for contributing to a story.

I guess we're a little low on magical characters. I'm very close to putting forward a Thor CS at present (so changeable...) so other Avengers could be interesting.

So...I've been kinda looking this over for a few weeks now, kind of on the fence and what-not. So I was wondering, what sort of characters would be wanted/needed in the current situation/setup?

At this stage, anyone, so long as they don't contradict with anyone else. We are missing a number of major characters.

I'm actually pretty happy that I didn't post anything yet because that would make this more complicated. I have most of the arch for Gambit already written up, but I've found myself uninspired to actually start it on here. This has to do with my personal life as well as the operations happening IC. If EE is okay with it, I will be happy to come back and run the Gambit arch later. Of course, if someone else finds him suddenly appetizing, I cannot stop you from taking him.

Anyway, that's why I haven't posted, and why I will not post until I feel ready enough to return, if I do. Thanks for accepting me, EE, and being so understanding.

it's really sad to hear that. I hope that your life finds it's way back here.

My conduct thus far has been terrible guys. I'm yet to post a CS. If I can't get one up by Sunday I shall withdraw into a well supplied hole and try to run this as an absentee chief like I have seen rocked in various casual games.
