How's that for ya? I'll let you decide what's inside, be it mages or more swordmen, your choice.
Kel and his wyvern swooped in at rocketing speeds, with the former hopping off and landing from a short five foot fall next to the tactician Gaius. He wrapped an arm around him and plucked a stick up off the ground. "Ok, here's what I got, see there are about ten buildings in this village, there's a forge and a shop here on the east side, seven houses and well, a few tents over here that were selling odds and ends, looked like an outdoor market. I saw a few bowman, maybe five or so all around the forge to the right. I tried to get out of there fast so not every detail is gonna be perfect here. There were these two guys who caught my eye, they were all by themselves corralling almost the entire village into some of the houses while the rest were just stationed around. I counted a few guys with axes. About thee or four. There wasn't anyone in armor so we can count magic out of this, but maybe some were inside looting the houses. They had a few guys with spears, couldn't tell if they were javelins or not maybe ahh... six or seven all stationed near the entrance we were headed to. If they saw me hopefully they didn't think much of it." He took his arm off of the tactician's shoulders and knelt down on the ground and let out a sigh as he tried to recall the village as best he could.

Kel had given out all the information he could. He used the stick he grabbed to draw a crude map on the ground. It was a rectangle shape, with one of the longer sides holding the trail they were headed in on. To the back right corner was the forge/armory, he drew 3 circles around it, labeling them the archers. He placed the other two circles by the tents to the far left, along with seven triangles labeling the ax wielders. A few more marks were made, some small lines representing cloaked but still armored figures. Must be thieves or some other light class, three of those scattered about the houses that occupied the grid like city. A river ran through the western side, with a single bridge leading to another path that he didn't see where it went to. A few more squares were placed representing the lance or javelin wielders. "Again, I didn't see if anyone was inside the houses. I was too far up to see that. But with the uh..." He counted heads slowly, got to about 7 and gave up. "We have a lot of people and that guy." He pointed to the cavalier Jakobe as if the man was a grizzled war veteran. "I'd say we got this unless there's something up with those two over there" He pointed to the two X's in front of two of the houses that were labeled 'FULL OF CIVILIANS' "Both of those guys looked scary in their own ways. The one was gigantic, and the other seemed to frail to be terrifying enough to scare an entire village to listening to him." He finished.

He stood up and walked over to Druug and hopped on his back, grabbing his hand ax. "That's all I got. there's 21 of them outside in the open at least. I'm sure you know a way to handle this mister tactician sir." With that he pulled down his flight mask that kept his eyes from drying out in the wind and leaned back on druug awaiting for the strategy to be laid out.
Alright! Here's the deal: Experiment, I want you to come up with the village's layout and enemy placements, which you'll do IC by telling Gaius what Kel saw while scouting. Give us something fun but not too difficult for our first encounter, alright? There will be two enemies of note among the normal bandits: a bandit leader, and none other than the Kindred, Taene. Make sure to describe them.

All those years of designing battle maps in DnD are finally paying off somewhere else! 1 level 1 party of uh... 16 challenge rating 1/2 coming up. Bandits and Taene? Shouldn't be too hard to throw down maybe 2 bandits each each... give them some cover, varying weapon types... God this is like the perfect thing for me.

EDIT: Do I need to get a pic of the map? like a crude map of the place?
@Cinderella Man

I thought your CS sounded cool, and you got accepted anyways so that's neat.
Both Taena and Jace are accepted, but since we're about to skip to the riverlands, we'll have to encounter them and recruit them rather than starting with them.

That was the plan all along haha
Oh, I finished my second character yesterday. Forgot to mention other than in a small edit to an old post. Jace, Kel's seemingly lost sweet studious and harmless sister
Malory proudly attempted to clap, causing some pain in his shoulder strong enough to encourage him to not clap. He was done with this bullshit job and could go back to slacking off and probably selling drugs that were hopefully delivered without a problem. Kal invited him into a meeting, to which he promptly declined. "Listen I uh, no. Meetings are not my think babe." He patted her lower back, luckily aiming higher than her butt and avoiding a terrible fate, regardless of how she took the unintended advance. A crushed pelvis was just as bad as a crushed skull.

"Ahhh, finally, I can get back to not doing security things." he sighed, as the doors were forced open behind him by his boss. Christian pulled out a holopad and started looking at a list of weaponry. Some of it was listed as illegal, some of it labeled doomsday. Only a few of them had check marks next to them, marking them as in stock. None of the doomsday devices had received a check, but an rifle designed to destroy the strong nucear bonds of molecules was there. His pride and joy, the most dangerous thing he had ever owned. A rifle that could reduce anything into a cloud of molecules unable to bond together. If only he had a reason to use it. His holopad continued scrolling, showing wanted posters, silhouettes with contact information under them and finally planets with a list of rare or dangerous materials there. "Ooh, a grenade that kills all life that it touches, including grass? Where are those... Hmmm, where is Lemea?" He asked aloud to himself. He continued on past the server room, headed toward his bunk.
I'll get a post up withn the next 5 hours probably, I'm not gonna be at the meeting though, so feel free to continue that like I don't exist
Oh shit, didn't expect you to have a major role. (Not to sound rude, but not much can be assumed about a stranger on the internet)
As an extra or a speaking role? Either way, better than anything I've done
