Biography: John usually stays quiet about his past, only telling those closest to him. Close for him are people he would consider family. Brother or a sister, mother or a father. These are those who know his true past. However, what people do know about him is he lived a rather crappy childhood in some pretty bad living conditions. The scars and gunshots on his body are a reminder of that.
Despite his father's union carpentry work and his mother's waitressing work, they lived in a rather poor area. And the stress of bills and other work related problems with the father caused his father to drink and lash out at both Junior and his mother. At the age of 10 his father had a rather bad episode. It was then did little John decide to defend himself...With his father's pistol. He shot him in the abdomen and luckily missed major organs but nonetheless sealed his fate...for now. His father and the state sent him to the juvenile detention center. For some time he wondered why he had to deserve this treatment and for some time hated the world. Something happened though, during one of the nights in his cell he felt something happen. He wasn't sure what it was but he felt...different. He eventually was brought out of juevy and was sent to his aunt while his mother filed for a divorce, among other things, and was given a therapist, one who he had grown fond of. They would talk and discuss the past and this continued until he was able to go back to his mother.
By the age of 24 he had managed to get a fairly decent job, his mother and himself staying in an apartment away from the father. She currently is the only one who knows of his power and has kept it to herself as a promise to John.
