Russell nod in agreement and proceeded to carry each body outside with extreme care. He placed them in a line, with space in between to dig a grave. Once done, he calls out "Have you found those shovels and planks yet?"
"Thanks, I guess. Uhm, I don't know where to start. There are so many of you and so questions." Says Jason.
"We need shovels and some wooden planks for them. You go and find those. I will carry them outside. Is that okay with you?"
"You are stronger and better than him because you have things that he will never have. You have mercy and compassion. People like him are hollow vessel of their former selves in which evil can fill. This world can do to that to a person."
Jason opens his eyes. He drops his jaw at the sight of all the legendaries.
Russell has seen that look of "out to kill" on many people but this one is more like blood-lust mixed with intense grief, not a healthy combo. It makes his skin crawl and his every part of him tells him to just back off and leave. All but one. This solitary part makes him stand his ground and tells him to help her with everything that he has. He whispers to her "Tell me more. Tell me how the monster looks. Tell me the look in the monster's eyes when you broken him and you have a gun aiming at his head. Tell. me. everything."
Russell looks in the kitchen and sees what she saw. He goes over to her and opens his arms. "I can not bring them back but I can try ease the pain. Come and cry in my embrace. I will not allow you to walk that path alone. You say that you do not need my sympathy and I do not know what you are feeling. The latter is true but I am here to help you get though this long, dark tunnel and see the light at the end of it."
Jason sits down and closes his eyes. At first, he felt nothing. Then Jason could felt a large amount of power wash over him and it lingers. He does not move or utter a sound.
