A bump??? After all these years??
This sounds really interesting! I'd love to fill in one of the earthbender spots, is there still any room?
@Firetigress3 Pardon me saying, but your character sounds like he's a bit of a dodgy fellah. An Elf with a taste for power, blackjack and hookers. Three generations of Royalty? He's going to be rather well known then, as well as his exploits. I'm sure Kalar will begrudge him thoroughly.

He could have at least brought more than himself and Mr. Brom to the battle!

Oh, hey, no worries, he's super sketchy. I mean, he's tryna keep up an act, but hey, who are we kidding here?

Might need @Firetigress3 approval on what elves are like. Wouldn't want there to be disagreements, so if there's a problem between the two of your perceptions work it out. You halberd seems to be a much worse version of the Sword of Celakor and you may desire something more unique. Depending on how aging works 20 year old Galather may be more like an infant than a young man.
Not sure on how to incorporate him into the story, but I assume you have ideas so I can accept him if Firetigress3 has no issues with your lore on elves.

I have no problems, I'm sure there can probably be different races of elves, if need be. Though that's not really up to me, of course.

I'm just a little confused, though. All elves aren't High Elves, right? Also, I know that Silverspire is supposed to be the home of the elves, but I'm assuming that several factions can live there. Khyssoun's not a High Elf, but he's from a small tribe in the forest, not a large one. So as long as, say, several factions can be in the forest at once, then I really have no problems.

Also, as with aging. Khyssoun's about half of Galather's age, and I made Khyssoun around 32, is that going to work for you?

Sir Khyssoun Maerdrym

Before they were able to ride away, a boy had stepped from out of the shadows, screaming for help. Immediately, Cedric rushed to the boy's aide, hopping off of his horse and even offering food to him. Khyssoun supposed he shouldn't have been surprised, Cedric was always too kind for his own good. He diverted his attention for a few moments, glancing out towards the center of the village. Odd. He could swear he was hearing chanting coming from somewhere further in the town.

His thoughts are interrupted by a blood-curdling shriek, and Khyssoun turned to find the boy quite literally draining Cedric's blood dry. "Bloody vampires," he hissed, removing his sword from its sheath and hurdling it towards the boy, piercing him through the chest and pinning him to the ground. Of course, this wouldn't be enough to slay a vampire, only the ritual could help with something like that.

Brom stared in horror as his companion fell to the ground out of the boy's grasp, completely bloodless. "C-Captain, that boy, he-"

"Yes, a vampire. Unusual in these parts," Khyssoun replied, jumping off his horse and moving towards the boy, struggling under the sword, "Undoubtedly one of the causes of this destruction. And quite a pain to get rid of as well." He stood over Cedric's body, and even had the decency to close the poor man's eyes. He had been a good enough solider, after all. But then what to do with the boy... Khyssoun stared for a moment, but his mind is quickly made up. If you let one pest run free, there would certainly be others. He mumbled something of an enchantment under his breath and made the sign of the cross across his chest. As he grabbed the hilt of the sword, the boy began to scream before eventually falling silent. "Brom," he snapped, ripping his sword out of the body and replacing it into its sheath, "What town are we in?"

"Okly, sir."

Khyssoun said nothing in return, but instead motioned for Brom to follow him as they made their way on foot towards the center of the village. As they near the center, he stiffened. There were certainly people here, and not the type he'd like to encounter on any given day. "Prepare yourself, Brom, he hissed, his hands itching towards his sword once more, "There's quite a few people waiting for us ahead."

It seemed they were late to the party, there were already a colorful assortment of people there. Rangers of Galuntrung Keep, if he remembered correctly, some sort of wolf-girl, and quite a mismatched handful of cultists and bandits that definitely outnumbered their side. Though he was hoping to stay uninvolved in the battle, it seemed he had no choice in the matter. Khyssoun mounted his horse once more and dug his heels into its side, charging it forth into battle. With the Kingsguard insignia brandished on the chest of his armor, he was sure there was no mistaking his side in battle. Though reluctantly, Brom followed him without question, letting out a strange sort of yell as they rode.

Arrows hailed from the sky, and instead of foolishly riding into the line of fire, Khyssoun diverted to where they had been fired from. "Seems I've caught you at exactly the right moment, Splint," he shouted to the Ranger Chief, hoping he could be heard over the screams coming from the battlefield, "I trust we won't also be the aim of your fire?"
@Firetigress3

Barely started reading your post when I realized we have never made a point of putting Havenford on the map. well, I know why its not on the map, its because its a territory, not a place, but we should probably figure out where that territory is. As for how long it took you to post... meh. Its fine if you don't post all the time. i mean I would apreciate it if everyone was always on and always contributing to the ic and ooc, but that would be impractical.

Well, I'm not really too picky where Haverford is exactly, but I think it should probably be somewhere close to the castle, based on what I mentioned in my post.

Sorry I'm not on more often! I'll try to be on more frequently, it's been a little hectic lately. But my schedule should be back to normal in a week or so.
Finally posted after 3 million years of not being here! Go me??
Sir Khyssoun Maerdrym

It was rather unfortunate that the esteemed Castle Clandstein was so dreadfully far away from Haverford. Given, the trip took only a short amount of time, it was quite troublesome when he had business to take care of. As of late, there had been more meetings of the Kingsguard, requiring his attention at the Castle more frequently, but it also made it incredibly hard to keep up the business he had going on. But the meetings were understandable, with the times they lived in and the impending threat to the country and all that. Normally Khyssoun would be at the Castle full time, but as tensions were rising all over the Kingdom, he found that he had some business to take care of back at his old dwellings. It seemed there was a disrupt of the market, some unexpected suppliers were trying to set foot into his territory, and he certainly couldn't have that.

After taking some steps to eliminate the threats back in Haverford, Khyssoun decided to take a quick detour before returning to the Castle. There had been a... Delivery scheduled in the outskirts Merandin, and its contents were much to important to send some grunts to do the dirty work. He simply wanted to check up on the quality, and when he deemed it satisfactory, he arranged for several of his more trusted advisers to handle the transportation. But now with that out of the way, he began his final trip back to the Castle.

Usually, Khyssoun would insist on traveling with a party of at least his eight closest men, as a matter of principle, but he was in a bit of a rush, and decided against it. Instead, only two other men rode their horses beside him as they made the trip to the castle. They had left from Meandin a few days before, resting only when the night was too dark to travel through safely. And as the sun rose softly upon the horizon, Khyssoun knew their trip would soon come to an end.

Suddenly, a burning smell filled the air and tar black smoke came into view. The horses gave whinny and Khyssoun tightened his grip on the reigns, reaching up to calm it down. It seemed the King would have to wait.

"Forward." he commanded, looking back at his men only to receive a confirmation that they understood, "Spread out and find out what you can. Meet at the location of the smoke in thirty minutes." And upon his word, they parted, one dashing off into the brush and the other riding with him toward the smoke.

The town was utterly destroyed, the fields burned to a crisp and the ground littered with what he could only assume to be bodies. Looking over the damage, he dropped from his horse and handed his reigns to Cedric, the young knight was had followed him to the wreckage. He walked through the town, surveying the damage as he carefully sidestepped the charred remains of, well, of everything, he supposed. It seemed like the place was a farming village, though a small one, it would definitely make the surrounding counties take a hit. Whoever it was that committed such a crime wanted to make a lasting impression on the Kingdom.

Houses burned, some of them half standing, and other already piles of ash being swept away by the wind. Nothing and no one was spared, as far as the eye could tell. The sight was rather gruesome. Every body that wasn't burnt was ripped apart and the entrails were spread over the ground. Like some sort of demonic ritual, he couldn't help but note. But that wouldn't be all too surprising, there were far too many demons in the Kingdom than he would have liked.

Khyssoun frowned, clasping his hands behind his back. The land would be out of use for a long time. Not only would the soil be infertile, but people would be driven away for fear of another attack. And if one farming village was the victim of slaughter, it could easily be assumed that more farms would be under attack as well. The sound of hooves beating against the ground grabbed his attention, and he turned to find Brom galloping towards him. "My Lord" he wheezed, almost tumbling off his horse to get down on one knee, "The surrounding area is clear, the attackers are no where in sight."

Khyssoun nodded his thanks and motioned for his reigns from Cedric. He climbed upon his horse and turned it back upon the path, motioning them to follow his lead. "Come." he called, "The King would surely like to hear of this."
