So, um, is it actually possible for us to harm Ultron? I mean, he had adamantium armor and stuff. not to mention the 'coma/mind control' ray.
In RWBY 12 yrs ago Forum: Off-Topic Discussion
You know, I thought the exact same thing. And she can apparently do something involving illusions, so that should be fun.

Yellow trailer is confirmed to have already happened, and Yang may drive like a maniac if Neptune is anyone to go by. Also character development abounds, for good guys and villains.

I like the thought behind the White Fang and the masks. Also, big mech. I didn't actually think they would use it though. More just show it off and let it sit in the background for at least a few episodes for dramatic tension. But oh well. I expect Cinder will be pissed at Roman for showing their hand like that too. I mean, Team RWBY knowing they have a big robot is one thing, but they just had a running battle through Vale and onto a busy highway, with major collateral damage, in a mech that has barely even begun deployment. That's gonna draw attention.

The combat was good though. All the pairing names used for combo attacks, seeing how much of a tank Yang is (she's like the Hulk man, she just gets stronger the more you hit her). Also, seeing more of Weiss's combat ability with her Glyphs. Special shout out to that slo mo thing she did to Blake, and the combo with Ruby to make ice bullets.
Tai was up early with the sun, doing his best to not wake anyone else from their slumber as he slipped between mattresses. He could see that some were already awake, and it was a slight surprise to find that he was not the earliest riser here, but it wasn't that big of a deal as it was. He'd had a nice, dreamless sleep, so he was feeling fully refreshed and prepared for the day.

He headed outside to the lawn below, figuring he would get some of his morning workout in before going to take a shower. It would get him alert, focused, and he wouldn't have to worry about being sweaty later. So he set to it, doing long stretches and quick actions in a brown tank top and grey shorts, working up a sweat in the morning as he did kicks and quick jabs, martial arts that he had put on display yesterday for those who had happened to see him.

He must have been out there for a half hour or so, yet it was adequate time for him to feel awakened, blood flowing now as he stepped back inside and made his way to his luggage, retrieving his bathroom supplies before he went for a cold shower, all while battling slightly growing butterflies in spite of himself. Today was the big day after all, that would decide the course of his next four years at Beacon. A lot of pressure, even for one as calm as himself. He could only imagine how everyone else thought.
Ba'al held in an internal sigh as he walked calmly, while the Joker did some sort of prancing along as they headed back towards the hotel. "An interesting group, from many differing worlds, each with their own abilities and skills. It will be an interesting competition, and hopefully at least one challenger will be up to the task of completing all the trials set before them." Naturally, he hoped it was himself, and would endeavor to make sure it was himself, but he couldn't be too careful. And he wasn't about to tip his full hand to a homicidal psychopath as it was.
I know. I had to do something to ramp up the mutual anger in anticipation of the fight that'll be coming up soon.
Yay conflict, right?
And my belief that Jester is the true villain here is stronger than ever.
Thomas spun, dove, and weaved on his glider, dodging lasers as they came in while he shot back with Blizzard and Fire at the Cybug queen. A few did deflect off his shield, ricocheting into the ground or off into the sky, but for the most part he did a decent job of making sure he wasn't in a position where he would have gotten hit by a blast. He didn't have a shield most of the time after all, so better to act like it wasn't there. With the shots from Calhoun's gun added to it, tentacles began to fall away one by one, mostly those he aimed for though.

It was an eternity and yet not at all before Jake managed to smash his way through to the core on the things back, destroying the Cy-Bug Queen at last. Thomas was about ready to celebrate their victory, as the thing dropped lifelessly towards the ground, when another problem presented itself. Namely, the fact that Amaya and Vanellope were right underneath the thing. The Reflect shattered like paper under the weight of the thing, and though Amaya moved to get them to safety, it probably wouldn't be enough. Mentally cursing, Thomas prepared to dive in, to get them out of the way with his Glider before the giant body could impact.

Fortunately, he wouldn't have to, as in mid dive Amaya and Vanellope were swept away by a Corridor of Darkness, earning a resulting twinge from Thomas's dark wound, and appearing nearby, with Joshua. Now, Thomas was fine with the rescue itself. In fact, him starting out on this journey would have done the same thing. Swoop in, be the Big Damn Hero, get the girl, something like that. But now, he was a little angry, one could say.

The Queen dead, Thomas flew over to join the ongoing conversation, batting away a few Cy-Bugs that came in to attack him. "Hey Joshua, how nice of you to join us. I trust you had a good rest while the rest of us were fighting to make sure this world wasn't devoured wholesale by an army of alien bugs.' He idly wondered if maybe that had been a bit too sarcastic, but at this point he didn't really care. Joshua was a big boy, he could handle it.
Ba'al was a bit put off that the Joker had ignored his question as to his identity, given that he knew both of theirs. But in the end it didn't matter too much, since he knew that any name given would just be an alias of some kind. Ba'al knew who he really was, and that was what really mattered. He was definitely not going to lose these challenges to some insane psychopath.

Before he could go on though the building shook, glasses and chinaware rattling, like it was an earthquake back on Earth. He focused more on making sure he wasn't hit by some falling object and keeping his balance, while Saber leapt into action, holding on to the boy Morito and racing out with him in a feat of agility and swiftness. The sight of it made Ba'al wish that they were back in his world. Saber, Mokou, there were so many potential hosts here that he would never have the pleasure of inhabiting. With their skills and abilities, he could be great, and with them in his army, he would be unstoppable. But sadly it was not to be.

The trembling subsided, and Ba'al straightened his suit as he looked around. "Well, that was something," he commented. "I'll be right back then.' He stepped outside then, looking around, and it was easy for his gaze to light on the illuminated spire that cut into the heavens above, now bathed in dim violet. "Well, that is impressive," he commented to no one in particular. It certainly looked like a feat of engineering.

He stepped back into the bar and glanced over to Joker. "If you wish to find other challengers such as myself, I suggest you come with me," he said, before departing for the hotel that he had so recently been in.
I don't have anything to do between when my last post was and when I go to the apartment, unless one of you was planning to stop by a sermon at the 'Church of Machines are Awesome'. Other than that I didn't expect to interact with anyone, so I figured a timeskip to the evening with okay, since I would otherwise have nothing to do besides sit here, wait, and maybe a flavor post or two if I was feeling particularly creative. Which I wasn't.
