Hm, well, I may not be quite the person you're looking for, but I'm interested in Plot #2
Well, Gandalf hardly uses any actual magic in LotR, and gets a mid season upgrade from the Gods, so I think his mana pool is pretty full as it is
Much as Tai might want to go outside and enjoy nature, he was all of a sudden averse to doing it specifically with Robert. Mostly because if he did it with Robert, the odds were good that something would happen, and Robert would either need saving, or end up injuring/making a fool of himself, And that wasn't something Tai particularly wanted to deal with at the moment, even if he really should go in case of that eventuality itself. But nah, there'd be plenty of time for things like that. They did have four years here after all.

He did notice Priscilla going, and made a mental note to not be involved in whatever silly romantic battle was going to spring up over her between Robert and Greyson. True, she was probably strong enough to make that kind of decision for herself, but that didn't usually stop people, and if they were to be a team (Still uncertain), then he didn't need it to be with that kind of tension or resentment. Personally, he would just wait and let attraction happen of it's own course, though in the case here he'd provide a hand to shove a couple together should the group dynamic be negatively affected.

"Thanks, but I'm good," he replied to Priscilla, glancing out the window to look for any groups coming. If it was a long wait he'd probably head outside, but it hadn't been that long since they got here, so he'd stick to the drop ship for now.
Ba'al was...suitably impressed as the attack that Sorin had used, whether it was magic or some other advanced skill, worked upon the dragon. The thing bulged almost comically, then began to rot and decay, losing quite a bit of it's pelt, among other things. He would have to keep that in mind, that this Sorin was capable of essentially creating zombies from living organisms, a useful power, but one that he would not want turned against him under any circumstances. So if he was to turn and eliminate the vampire, he would have to do it when he wasn't expecting it, or at least before he could use his magic, a complicated feat that Ba'al would idle upon for some time.

For the moment though Ba'al emerged from his cover, turning the safety on his Zat back on as he made his way up the path to where Sorin and the large dragon remained. "Very good," he complimented. "I'm glad to see my faith in you wasn't misplaced." Not likely to get the best reaction, but Ba'al had stopped caring about the insults he got a long time ago.

For now, he moved on past and up the path, expecting that those who had joined him would follow, given the apparent lack of other options. It seemed now the paths led together, and across the gap was the other group that had previously gone into the cave, sans a few people. Well, tragic, but they had made it, so that was good. Now to see if they'd be as useful as Sorin or the dragon he had with him now.
Apparently yes. All that over your avatar. *Shrugs* I don't get it either.
Well, I posted, so nobody better look at me.
Good show. Ba'al is impressed. Of course, we came out better in this. The other group lost a member, and we picked up a zombified dragon to help us fight. Respect.
"Likewise," Haman affirmed with a bow as the two men introduced themselves, from this 'Order of the Raven' that had been mentioned by the Terran Dominion in previous diplomatic encounters with the organization, but her information on this order was scarce due to geographical distance and a seeming lack of political relevancy, especially compared to Zeon neighbors and the Terran Dominion itself, given possible similarities to the Earth Federation. But whether that would turn out to be true remained to be seen.

She had, however, heard the reports from the Dominion that the Order of the Raven used machines that were similar in form and function to Mobile Suits, though with fairly evident differences. that she was less certain on though, and a partnership of sorts as Leviathan proposed would be useful, for bolstering the capabilities of Zeon's Mobile Suit forces, as well as gaining intelligence on a potential foe. If they had Mobile Suits as well, she needed to know their strengths and weaknesses, in case they came to blows. She would not accept the loss of her forces because they didn't know enough about the enemy.

But those were internal thoughts, and she was unaware in turn of the telepathic conversation going on between Levi and Augustus, since her own powers worked on a different level than the powers of those two. She glanced back to Mineva, who was currently engrossed in her conversation with the 'Autobot', and then back to the two men before her. "That seems agreeable, and I doubt Her Highness will object to it either. I look forward to meeting with you after the conference so we may work out the details," she confirmed, with a pleasant expression meant to lull them into a false sense of security about the personality of the twenty one year old Regent. She would take advantages where she could get them, and one of the more easy ones was people underestimating her based on her age. A mistake they generally only made once.
Never seen Elfen Lied.
In a word. Yes. At episode 6 they haven't even gotten serious yet, much less the maximum of how Over the Top they'll be.
