"There is no problem that cannot be solved through the excessive application of force" - Curtis LeMay (A Made up quote)
"Why thank you," Ba'al replied to Balalaika, looking to her as they advanced up the slope to the meeting of the paths, where the rest of the group was. "I've been told that my rogueish looks and sense of humor are two of the best things about me." That was a flat out lie, but she didn't need to know that. Well, actually, it technically wasn't. He did get a lot of compliments, so he'd probably heard that one once or twice. Of course, it wasn't like the people complimenting him were unbiased, but that was just one of those pesky details.

Meanwhile, Sorin's statement earned a frown of disapproval from Ba'al. As if the vampire was one to talk to him about faith. Him, who was worshiped as a god by a good portion of the galaxy! Who said that faith was for those who feared? Well, they did fear him and the power he could bring to bear, but they were also loyal, truly believed in his divinity. It was only when that illusion had been shattered by the defeat at Dakara that things had fallen apart, and even then the Jaffa had still proven that they craved strong leadership, someone to direct them, like himself. A pity SG1 kept ruining his plans.

Arriving with the others, Ba'al looked about the group to notice their reduced numbers, as well as the few arguments ongoing. So, it seemed they hadn't journeyed through the caves unscathed. Fools. Well, Ba'al had told them so, and they hadn't heeded his words, so maybe they'd be more likely to listen to him in the future once he reminded them of this particular fact. He was perfectly content to stay silent though, and let everyone think Sorin was a jerk and he the reasonable one though.

THen Balalaika began to speak, and Ba'al turned his attention along with most everyone else. Eh, it wasn't that amazing, but at least it was devoid of the grandstanding he was used to. When she finished, he stepped forward, clapping. "Well said, though I hardly think it was necessary. Most of us seem to prefer getting back to proving our mettle against whatever we're forced to combat. But that in mind, we do need to be going. So lead the way, Captain," he said with a grin and a bow, gesturing up the path to the mountain peak where dark, ominous clouds emanated and swirled.
Damn eldritch abominations. Hold on, let me get my superweapons.
Ba'al sees your sarcasm. But given that his average day involves manipulating eogtistical maniacs, he's aware of how unimpressive it is.But hey, if it gets rid of his competitors, he's all for it.
Ba'al volunteers to be the one to manipulate those two into a massive grudge match.
Man, are Zeon and the Autobots the only people here who've had good experiences with space?
Time had passed by, and at last the meeting was about to start. The delegation from the Order of the Raven had departed peacefully, though sadly Mineva hadn't really gotten to talk with Jazz about Zeon or it's culture. Still, it certainly made Mashymre feel a bit safer to get away from them, since he hated the thought of anything happening to her or Haman. There would always be time for that sort of thing later, after all.

For the moment, the three of them proceeded inside, arriving in the grand conference room, it giving off vibes of the Earth Federation assembly hall, at least to the three of them, though they had only seen pictures of it. But it was for a different purpose, a different intention. It was no longer a struggle for freedom from the power of Earth, or the souls that were weighed down by gravity. No, it was a meeting of nations, of equals, theoretically. And that Haman could work with.

The three sat down, Mineva in the middle, Haman and Mashymre to her sides, though the blue haired man seemed sad, or jealous, at this arrangement, with the delegation near the other Directorate members, but slightly apart as well. They watched as the other delegates arrived and took their seats, and the meeting was called to order.

As Zefyrn finished, Haman rose. "We of the Principality of Zeon would like to thank the Copenhagen Coalition for hosting this meeting, and allowing us to participate. Zeon has known war. In the span of under a year, more than half the population of the Earthsphere was killed in the conflict between the Earth Federation and the Principality. It is thus that we recognize the foolishness of war, and express our desire to never have to repeat such tragedies again.

What we desire is not war, or conquest. What Zeon seeks is peace, and a return to space, to the new frontier and the destiny of humanity. In the ideals of our founder, Zeon Zum Daikun, Earth is the sacred birthplace, the cradle of humanity, but one that mankind must eventually leave. It is in the stars, in space, that the future of humanity lies. And it is there we seek to return, so humanity may grow, evolve, and become more than it is.

Zeon does not desire conflict. We do not wish to repeat the mistakes of the past. But we will defend ourselves, and we will bow to no one. It is my hope that with the assistance of this Conference, the new world we find ourselves in can be tamed, and a place made here for all of us."

She sat back down, and Mineva whispered to her. "Well said." Meanwhile, Mashymre's eyes glistened, and the man seemed on the verge of tears, in admiration. It was obvious he truly believed what had just been said. It only remained to be seen how the others would react.

Eh, it's okay. I think Nui can survive neck snappage.
"Good for you," Tai replied somewhat disinterestedly. For some reason, he had a problem with a person explicitly stating that in their first meeting they had been showing off their abilities. If he could kill them all, then why had he let himself get cornered in the first place? To engineer a situation by which someone would be forced to come to his aid, thus ensuring he got a partner with decent combat skills? An interesting, and probably effective strategy, but one that Tai found a little morally queasy.

Or maybe he was just averse to the showing off portion. Personally, he would try to brag or otherwise exaggerate his abilities, and thus leave people with a false impression that could be disastrous later on. He'd do what he could, to the best of his abilities, and leave it at that. If Greyson felt otherwise, then so be it.

For the moment, he waited still for people to arrive so they could head back
