Thomas waited with all the patience he could muster (admittedly not much in this current situation), as this 'War' guy gave them the answers to the questions they sought. And it wasn't too amazing. The guy didn't know what their end goal was, had blind faith in this leader of his, said something about finding your own reason to fight, and unsurprisingly answered Ascot's question as Thomas expected he would. This Q&A session had pretty much been a waste of time at this point.

And then his own question was answered, and he frowned. So basically, the guy was saying 'Trust me because I'm honorable, but don't trust me because that's the smart thing to do'? Talk about mixed signals, to say the least. This guy was still quite obviously a villain, even if he was 'a man of honor', so Thomas would continue to treat what he said with all the suspicion it deserved, until he could prove he was telling the truth in some fashion or other.

"If I say no, will it make a difference," Thomas replied to the question of if they were satisfied with their answers. He could care less what the others thought at the moment, since aside from Belle's, most of those questions had simply been wastes of time, earning only evasions, enigmatic answers, and things that hardly inspired any sort of confidence in this guy. Well fine. Let him be like that. They'd defeat the Six Senses, then they'd go and kick their butts too. It wasn't like they had a reason not to, since despite helping them at some point along the way, their actions still screamed 'I'm evil'. He just needed to get stronger, and then he'd be the one delivering a lesson.
I'm actually kinda scared to see what Reno/Oner getting even stronger looks like.
Well, I'd say it's a safe bet that Ba'al has at least a passing knowledge of all the major modern Earth languages, as well as Goa'uld, Phoenician, Canaanite, and other languages from that time period common to the Mediterranean region. Other than that, Space Voodoo translators for the win.
Miyako crouched atop a skyscraper, buffeted by high speed winds that whipped about her and sent green hair snapping wildly, but she showed no fear. She was a magical girl after all, and they were supposed to be fearless, right? They bravely charged into the jaws of death and danger to save the innocent, protect the weak, to strike down those creatures known as Witches, and make sure they couldn't threaten people. At least, that was how she imagined it.

And she, she was one of those brave figures. And since she was, she would do her best to live up to that ideal, to the name and the role she had been given. Even if no one saw, even if she operated in the shadows, she would know, and she would not let anyone down. She had to.

She rose then, casting one last look across the city before she jumped off, going into horizontal free fall as the ground sped towards her. She was weightless, flying, if for a few brief moments, and she could imagine she was free of worldly concerns, of struggling and expectations and hardship. Just her, and the sky.

But reality had to intrude once more, Miyako still falling to the ground. She quickly acted then, materializing her Kusarigama and trowing it, the metal head impacting the wall, so she could use the chain as a rope of sorts, allowing her to arrest her vertical fall to a more horizontal path, leaving her to run across building rooftops. She revels in the physical strength, the skill she had, which she never could have had before as a normal girl. Even now, she still marveled at how incredible it was.

Moving along, she pulled out her Soul Gem, shining a shade of ivory green with spots of black floating inside it. Not too urgent, but she should probably get to hunting anyway. She didn't have that many Grief Seeds to spare. So she sped along, moving through the city at a rapid pace, while keeping an eye out for the flares of magic that would indicate a Witches Barrier

There! As the pulse flared across, Soul Gem glowing that much brighter in the moment, she tossed her weapon once more, using it to help arrest her motion as she dropped to street level. She moved along then, and quickly found the Barrier that she had detected, and wasted no time in heading inside, having missed all the people previously entering it. Time to get to work
Working on a post now. I feel like I might be over achieving a bit.
So they fought, and they fought, and a Viking dropped from the sky again after having vanished off the face of the world, and it was all well and good. Ba'al would admit that the thing had sheer stamina going for it, but not much else by all appearances. After all, he was the most important person here (Excepting perhaps King Arthur over there), and he was relatively unharmed. Showed what that dragon knew, didn't it. Of course, he conveniently neglected to consider the fact that he was fighting at long range, and not actually doing that much damage, but what did you expect from an egotistical bastard?

And then things went to hell as the undead dragon attacked the thing, which went fine until the thing recovered, ripped it apart, engulfed itself in a cocoon of that miasma stuff, and emerged ass a blindingly radiant dragon, pretty much all their damage undone, and it treating them like worms. Wonderful.

"Very impressive," he called out to Sorin sarcastically. "I can see why they consider you a master sorcerer." The floor was covered with miasma now, and he recoiled reflexively, glad that his symbiote couldn't smell this directly. It was disgusting. Still, he had to be in it, and it was obvious now that the dragon intended as much to kill them, if draconic expressions were anything to go by.

Still, just as it stepped up it's game, so too did his competitors, Saber revealing Excalibur to light from it's invisibility, the annoying flying girl shooting a...heart powered laser of some kind at it and the taller man materializing more swords from nothingness. Now that was a useful trick if anything, Ba'al admitted. Once more he wished for his own blade, or a staff weapon, hell, even a regular gun! This Zat was useful, but it hadn't been the pinnacle of effectiveness against enemies thus far.

So while they fought, he did the smart thing and hid, eager to avoid drawing it's attention, letting him competitors do what they could, and waiting for an opening. His weapon wouldn't be able to do any damage if it couldn't hit the dragon directly, and while he could shoot for the eyes or the mouth, as far as he could tell it would just be a waste of power. it wasn't like the thing could breathe fire or such. So until he knew he could do something, he'd stay safely out of harms way, and think of the long game, as he usually did.
Wait. What am I being blamed for?
Sounds cool. I've been enjoying SAO II thus far (Besides the sheer amount of hidden crazy suddenly being revealed in the past two episodes), so I hope you have fun (even if it's next month)
Slight nitpick, but a Zat shoots a bolt of concentrated electrical energy, not plasma. IF that was what the 'alien technology' referred to.
Well, I sent in a thing. I feel special .
