All things said, Ba'al turned to face their new arrivals, some new challengers introduced to either hinder them or to help them along the way. Since they had only appeared, it remained to be seen which would be which. It also raised a question though, since they hadn't completed this recent challenge, did they still have to do the twenty four, or only twenty three like the rest of them? And if the latter, did that confirm, in a way, that more than one person could win these challenges? That would be useful to know.

"No, this is not a dream," he confirmed with a nod before introducing himself. "I am Ba'al, Supreme Commander of the Goa'uld Empire. A pleasure to make your acquaintance." It seemed he would have to do his introduction again, to impress upon these people that he wasn't someone to worry about, in comparison to others.

Sword resting idly, he went on to further elaborate on Saber's explanation, with no offense intended to her. Probably. "We were brought here by a nigh omnipotent being to compete in a series of Challenges, the completion of which will grant the victor a wish, for whatever they desire. Defeat will result in us being trapped here, while death is itself irreversible."

He then gestured to the entrance of the armory. "There is the door out if you would prefer to leave though." He was looking forward to seeing what the newcomers reactions to the eclectic city beyond would be

Well, I can think of some ways. It's just really hard for the average person to do. Like nigh impossible without heavy ordinance or something.

I think even the nerfed version is incredibly overpowered, I think there's only... two or three characters here who could counter Accelerator....

That said it's nice to see another fan of Index/Railgun, eh-heh.

Well, with the nerfed version it's just a matter of kiting him until his time limit runs out and then kicking his ass. Hard to do, not impossible. The original is a lot harder, and I can think of only a few strategies that could work.

But yeah, I'd say I'm something of a Raildex fan

It's fine. I considered bringing in Accelerator as outlandish, but the only version I could use in this setting is incredibly OP when all things are considered.

The unwelcome guests departed, and ignoring whatever sort of supposed context was going on between the girl and Jake, Thomas wasn't all too broken up to see them go. And god riddance for that, at least in his mind. That conversation had been nothing but a waste of time to the end.

He was then left to converse with Belle, who reminded him that they did need to find the Sign for this world, if those guys hadn't taken it while they were being distracted by getting their butts kicked. He shook his head to indicate that he didn't know, but before he could speak as such, they were interrupted by Vanellope's return. "Alright," he agreed, and moved to follow, letting those who wished to stay behind. He doubted they would miss much.

They made their way back to where King Candy had been finally defeated, and Thomas did his best to hide any sign that he recognized this place, or that something had really happened here. That would bring about questions that he didn't want to answer right now. At this point he was fortunate that no one had asked about his arm yet, as it were.

Arriving, they saw Colhoun, Felix, and Ralph there, all watching as Belle asked what they'd found, and Calhoun pulled out something, which, once the candy had bee rubbed away, was revealed to be one of the Signs. "Yes, it would," he confirmed with arms folded across his chest. "Thanks."

Tai soon finished up with his cooldown workout and tidied up, courteous to not leave everything scattered about as others might. The school was providing this stuff, so the least he could do was treat it with the respect it deserved. There was nothing that said they couldn't be removed if deemed necessary. Admittedly, this probably wasn't that kind of offense, but better to not take chances, right?

That done, he took a side stop to take a quick shower, cold, to get off the remaining sweat and clean himself off from all that they had been through. It'd have been a chance to show off, if anyone else was there. But no one was even if he had wanted to, so it was relatively quiet and quick.

Drying off his hair with a towel, he considered what to do next before heading to the cafeteria. He wanted to see what the food was like, and he was hungry, so hopefully there would be something good to eat. Well, good in a figurative, as well as literally nutritious sense of the term. Still, there had to be something. So calmly he made his way, to get some dinner. Maybe he'd even meet some people there.
