>That moment when you realize that you can only do fandom RPs because you're bad at original characters. This is what I get for never playing DnD

And here we go. A slightly different pace from last time.

Name: Klara Zakharov
Age: 16
Gender: Female
Appearance: In Magitech
Personality: Quiet, bookishly smart. Puts up a cold exterior to hide a generally shy nature, and tries to not get close to people. When working with or talking about machines though, becomes animated, alive, energetic when working with machines, determined, even protective, and she has a tendency to ignore people. One could say that she's almost like two separate people.
Brief Backstory: Born in Izhvesk, Klara grew up to the clatter of machinery and the sound of hissing metal. Her father worked in the factories, producing guns and weapons to feed his family, while mother cared for her at home, with her two older brothers, who went to do the same thing, or left to find other prospects.

Perhaps because of that age gap between siblings, or just some tick of her personality, Klara was never quite good at making friends. This maintained itself through primary education, where she was secluded from most of the social groups. But she didn't mind, as her affinity for machinery and mechanics presented itself, stripping things down to see how they worked, using spare parts to build new devices, things like that which drove her mother crazy, but which she would admit was better than smoking and drinking vodka.

She wasn't all that affected by the arrival of the Nephilim, which missed where she lived, fortunately, but she did follow the developments coming from that. It drove her desire to improve, and she quickly distinguished herself in engineering clubs, spending after school time, and building competitions, even submitting to some technical magazines

Eventually her skills brought her to the attention of the provincial government, who funded her attending a technical school. It was there that she was approached by SEED, offered the opportunity to work with the cutting edge in technology and military weaponry. And faced with that, how could she say no? She quickly accepted, and with a goodbye to her family, was taken to Tokyo, where she has been studying and wondering when she will get to have some hands on experience.
Abilities: A mechanical genius, also a decent hacker and computer technician, good at welding and construction
Powers: With her focus on tools and equipment, Klara's power is the ability to manipulate electrical currents, as well as energy. This allows her to power devices using her bioelectrical energy, as well as shut them down by denying them energy, manipulating them to do what she wants to activate certain functions (including hacking).

In combat, this manifests itself as the ability to control machines, as well as the ability to shoot bolts of lightning. This does have the drawback in that it can be draining on her own energy to do so in significant amounts. But it is very devastating when she uses it.
Weapon(s): Her Magitech armor is the epitome in technology, making her capable of powered flight, and advanced combat. She uses a three pronged blade for close in combat, whilst built in semiautomatic weapons give her ranged capacity. She also can carry explosives and other devices to aid her in combat in the storage space in her armor.

It has a limited shielding capacity, which converts enemy energy based attacks and converts them into electrical energy, stored in buffers, which she can draw on to power her lightning attacks, or the suit in general. Exposure to excessive or repeated attacks will overload the shields though, and they do not cover her entire body.
Voicing my continued interest. Just need to see about that character concept.
The halls were decently occupied, people moving to explore whilst conversing, and Tai weaved through them like a leave on the breeze, his presence unnoticed or uncommented on. He didn't mind that too much, since he hardly could have expected less from the people here. They were too busy getting to know their teammates and each other to strike up a random conversation without someone walking by, at least if they were rational

Still, sometimes he had his doubts about himself. He was calm, at peace, but was that really what he wanted to be. At times, it seemed like he would walk through life without leaving an impact, some mark to indicate he was here. Would people miss him when his time eventually came, or would he just be remembered as the quiet one who did yoga on the front lawn in the morning? The thought was unexpected disturbing to the boy.

But laying that question aside, he entered the cafeteria. It wasn't filled to capacity by any stretch of the term, but there were a few people in it. Moving past them, Tai went up to get his food. It was simple affair, an apple, a small cup of water, but he wasn't very hungry at this point. If he needed more, he could get some later, and he wasn't disposed to waste food by taking in excess.

Meal in hand, he went to one of the empty tables and sat down there, by himself. He took small, measured bites as he looked around the room, occasionally adding a sip of water as he watched to see what happened. A passive bystander, as always.
"Hello Kavinsky," he added, listening to the man ramble about Los Angeles before he departed. Sadly, Ba'al's humor didn't extend that far. Oh well, nothing ventured, nothing lost.

Yggdrasil? Now that was a term Ba'al hadn't expected to hear here. But then again, what with King Arthur being here, of all people, he supposed one of those others being here as well shouldn't be much of a surprise. Still, he hadn't been aware that Yggdrasil was an actual thing, though just as obviously this man was no Asgard from his world.

"So, I take it you are one of the Asgard then," he asked curiously, displaying further his knowledge of Tau'ri lore, as well as that of galactic affairs. Irrelevant for the most part, it was still useful information to have.
Thomas looked at Jake in confusion. "You kidding," he asked, as he shook and moved the now unarmored limb, no sign of any dark wound present. "It's all fine, as good as new. I was out walking around and the armor just fell off," he explained. Hopefully they would accept that excuse, though he was unaware of the people who'd known of his darkness there.

"Told yah," he added to anyone who had thought that something was off there, or who had questioned why he still had the armor on.

Moving on, they stayed in Sugar Rush for the rest of the day, enjoying the candy, talking with the people, and making sure that everyone from this world was doing alright. At the same time though, he took the opportunity to study, practice, and learn the spells that he had gotten from Serin. Knowing Stone and Aqua would be useful for the future after all, since he had to get stronger. He added to that with a new spell, one that had taken a lot of work to do, but would prove useful. He could make that assumption with Blink, which would make illusionary copies of himself, a skill useful in combat.

Sadly, he never did get to speak with Calhoun alone, since she was busy with Felix, or the group, or going back to her world or somesuch, so he missed his chance to ask how she did it, as the experienced one. He had the feeling that he'd regret that later on, but there wasn't much he could do about that.

He did pick up some items, health stuff, and a new ring, and got to sleep, but eventually they had to leave. Goodbyes were said, and they set off. Well, except for Joshua and Amaya, who went through a Corridor of Darkness. Surprisingly to him though, there was no pain from the transit, which he was grateful for.

At last they arrived at the world, seeing a huge expanse of water except for a few scattered islands and a few buildings on those islands. Coming in for a landing, he hopped off to see Yukio approaching them, and he swiftly remembered the guy from when Nagi had left the group. "Hey Yukio," he said in between introductions, and addressed the other thing he mentioned. "Yeah, we got held up by....stuff." He'd heard what happened, but couldn't really comment on the asskicking. Of course, given his arrival before he'd had to tell them that the same thing happened to him, but their thing was more important anyway.
Ba'al is going to be slightly confused, since Takatora doesn't look like any Asgard Ba'al has seen. Still, at least he knows what Yggdrasil is, so that's a plus.
Eh, no. It's just a useful place to find spaceship images
Well, I will point out that Penny had a laser, but then again, I didn't get the impression that lasers were standard weaponry, even by RWBY's scewed sense of reality.
Yeah, I know, I'm not done. Apologies
