Tyler walked over to the buffet and grabbed some food. It wasn't a lot, but he didn't eat much. He ate rather quickly and pulled out a book. It was called Advanced Elemental Spells Volume 3. There was a lot he didn't understand, but he was sure he would figure it out eventually. He always did.
"Hmm, I see. From what I understand, a Grimoire is achieved through... intense training? I'm sure I'll figure it out one day." Tyler began muttering to himself as he began getting that unfocused look in his eyes again.

Meruin rubbed her neck as she awkwardly tried to smile as Lisanna clapped her back. As Tyler spoke, she frowned. "Were your parents magic as well?" she asked. She actually wanted to ask if he was alright, but Meruin, for all her knowledge and magic prowess, was still a socially awkward teen. That was the best thing she could say, she thought. In the meantime, Reina, who was still packing up, spoke to Lisanna. "The term 'Assassin Mage' is slightly misleading. It may not be what you're thinking about," she said with a knowing smile.

"No, not to my knowledge anyways. My grandfather was. He wasn't very strong but he was the one who taught me what little magic I had known then. I taught myself everything else. It's amazing what you can learn when you have enough money to buy your own library worth of Tomes." Tyler explained as he began refocusing on the world around him. "Do you think it's possible to start an elemental Grimoire?" He asked trying to change the subject. It was obvious he didn't like talking about his past.

I'm still here, I'm just waiting right now.
"My parents were owners of multiple Fortune 500 companies. They're not around anymore, so I got their inheritance. I run the companies now through various other people, since legally I can't own companies on account of my age." Tyler explained as he got a distant look in his eyes. If you looked closely you could see a definite tint of sadness and... regret?
"Should I get prepared with multiple barriers just in case? I have a bunch of barrier papers in my room if we need them." He asked as he left the money on the ground where it was. "Whoever wants it can have it by the way."

Meruin's master looked at the paper, and nodded. "I see," she sighed. "Well, it looks like I lost that bet with Chase.""Master?"She shook her head. "We put up a bet between us on what kind of Soul Rune you were going to get. As you know, a Soul Rune is the first letter that shows up in your Grimoire, and it is the language of your soul that points out to what kind of magic is best suited towards you or what can make you happiest. I bet that you would be a 'research' or 'logic' type, while Chase bet you were a 'combat' type."Meruin looked surprised. "Wait, so if lost the bet . . ."Reina gave her a sheepish smile. "Yeah, it seems like you're a 'combat' type like Chase after all," she she snapped her hands and instantly the paper in Meruins hand disappeared, and reappeared in her hand. It should be noted that currently she is on the other side of the world. "To be specific, your rune has the marks Deception-Action-Patience-Skill-Objective-Knowledge-Timing-Subversion-Tools-Creative-Caution. Do you remember what that rune sequence means, Meruin?"Meruin paused and scrunched her eyes in thought. There were an infinite number of Rune sequences, but it was possible to categorize them based on similarity. Meruin turned to her master in surprise. "T-that rune sequence . . . !""Yes," said Reina, still smiling. "Congratulations on finding your way, 'Assassin Mage' Meruin Hazy."

"Wait a second. Not only is she able to regularly summon things like spirits of dead warriors, now she's a ninja as well? My god, does everyone but me get the cool powers? Man am I glad I have the best power though." Tyler pulled out a large amount of dollar bills and began throwing them in the air. "Money! Yeah, money!"
"I didn't have a strong master. I just had a lot of money to buy books and supplies with. Lots and lots of money. If we got into a money fight, I would win. I would win every time." Tyler commented to Lisanna
"Are they mimes and magicians? I don't see anything important." He asked Sol.
Flood frowned at that information. Mind readers were the last thing he wanted right now, especially with the important information he had as is. He had experience in defense against mind reading and his multiple personalities gave him an extra layer of defense, but he'd rather be safe than sorry. Looks like he would be brushing up on his mental defenses soon. 'Wait, I haven't heard anything from my other personalities in a while. what's going on?' He thought to himself. as he decided to take a small nap. He woke up almost instantly in a cold sweat. "Holy crap that was terrifying." He said to himself.
