Bio

Call me Flo if fluorescent's too much! (I've also been called Flur, which is cool, too!) If it's Bioware-related, space-related, or hella gay, I probably love it. I'm also basically an Elementary fanatic at this point, and for some reason I have a thing for basketball.

I'm pansexual and agender; feel free to ask me about it, as I'm open to discussing my gender identity and sexual orientation, but don't be a dick. I'm here to enjoy myself, not to field rude questions. Anyways, that means I would like it if you referred to me with they/them pronouns. If that bothers or upsets you, don't refer to me at all.

But at the end of the day, I'm just here to have a good time! I love writing and it's something I've been doing on the side for the last six or seven years, and I've even taken a couple classes focused on writing in college. So let's get to it, then!

Name - Jannali Korindji

Gender - Female

Age - 17

Appearance - Tall and thin, Jannali is often compared to the trees that litter the Moodjar Plains. Her dark complexion blends well with her long, black hair trailing along her back. Her facial features are softer and rounder than most Ansharin. Her smooth skin but often cut-up hands are indicative of her role in the tribe as a healer in training under her father.

Personality - Jannali is known to think before she acts - as well as for taking her time with it. Combined with her reserved nature, she tends to be less reliable in high pressure situations where the correct choice isn’t always clear cut. As such, Jannali is often non-confrontational and agreeable. While she is liked for that very reason, others in the community try to push her to be more decisive, an endeavor that has so far yet to produce any kind of result.

However, one thing for which Jannali can be relied on is her love for and pursuit of knowledge: any time she is given the opportunity to learn, she becomes noticeably more eager and involved. Jannali aspires to know as much as there is to know about anything there is to know anything about - an aspiration that, at times, gets her into more trouble than she would like.

Skills - Jannali is essentially the second-best healer in the tribe, losing out only to her father, Jarrah. Her knowledge of the body, how to treat wounds, or the cures and treatments to various illnesses is equal to Jarrah, but her lack of composure in intense moments keeps the tribe from truly relying on her in those moments of need.

She also has the ability to retain and recite just about any information she acquires, a valuable skill in just about every walk of life. As a result, Jannali is at least reasonably knowledgable in most of the Ansharin’s jobs and customs, though she is often unable to actually apply her knowledge herself due to a lack of real experience.

Equipment - Waterskin, various leather bandages, bone needles and suture threads, and a collection of plants and herbs for healing illnesses, with all but the waterskin kept in an over-the-shoulder leather pouch.

Biography - As mentioned, Jannali’s father, Jarrah, is the tribe’s foremost healer, while her mother, Tatali, is a skilled hunter. Jannali took to her father more as a child, igniting her passion for knowledge and paving the way for her to grow to be a healer, herself. Otherwise, Jannali’s life so far has largely been uneventful.
@Heat If villains were easy, I'd have made one, man.

Here's my CS! A little on the shorter end, for my standards, but let me know if anything needs clearing up or expanding!
@KaiserElectric Psh, who needs villains anyways?
Count me interested!

"I despise Kirkwall."

"Oh come now, Evelyn, you haven't even been here for an hour. Give the city a chance."

"Adrianne, how many piles of shit have you stepped in since I arrived?"

The lack of a response prompted a grin from the older Orlesian. Evelyn knew the younger woman liked the city no more than herself, but Adrianne had always been more tactful with her words. The two had met a decade prior in Denerim; it was the classic story of bitter rivals settling their differences and discovering a long-lasting bond. Being that Evelyn was about twenty years her senior, Adrianne took to Evelyn much as a student would a mentor. In recent years, Adrianne found herself spending more and more time in Kirkwall, keeping the two apart until Evelyn's path brought her to the City of Chains.

"At least I'm not wearing anything nice. I had to part with all my clothes from Orlais when I left Denerim," Evelyn lamented, glancing down at the simple leather armor she was wearing over a deep green cloak. "Where the hell is this Blooming Rose, anyways? All these buildings are starting to look the same." Everything was so plain and colorless in Ferelden, though Evelyn had to admit, the people were more interesting. Spending forty years in a country built on facades and deceit wore thin quickly, and the culture of Ferelden, as initially off-putting Evelyn found it, was ultimately intriguing.

"We're just about here. You can see the sign from here." Adrianne pointed in the distance, and there it was: the all too yonic insignia of the Blooming Rose. Evelyn was simultaneously amused and disappointed.

"Will you be coming in with me? Or do we part ways here?"

"This will have to be it, I'm afraid. I do have my own business to attend to, you know," Adrianne responded with a smirk. What it was that Adrianne was doing these days was far beyond Evelyn's knowledge, but knowing that her young friend was successful in Kirkwall warmed her heart.

"Of course. It was good to see you, Adrianne." The two shared a hug before Adrianne disappeared into the Kirkwall crowd.

As Evelyn pushed open the door to the Blooming Rose, she was met with no less than three well-endowed women and chants of "Another round!" being shared in the main room. At the center of it all was a massive Tal-Vashoth, relishing in the seemingly endless supply of drinks. Evelyn pressed her way through the Blooming Rose, politely rejecting the offers of its employees as they came.

"Excuse me!" Evelyn shouted as she found herself in front of her presumptive captain. "I believe you have a job opening available, and I would like to make my services available. My name is Evelyn, of Orlais."
@MiddleEarthRoze From the Dragon Age Wiki: "Children between dwarves and humans are extremely rare because of the low fertility rate of dwarves in addition to the small chances of producing offspring with other races. Half-dwarves are shorter than humans but taller than dwarves. Furthermore, it is more often that such mating would happen with surface dwarves as such union would be heavily stigmatized in Orzammar."

So there ya go! Rare, but possible.
I could also go for some interaction, if there are any takers.
That ran a whole lot longer than I thought it would, and definitely went a much darker route than when I set out. Not the first IC post I pictured myself writing here...
