Bio

Call me Flo if fluorescent's too much! (I've also been called Flur, which is cool, too!) If it's Bioware-related, space-related, or hella gay, I probably love it. I'm also basically an Elementary fanatic at this point, and for some reason I have a thing for basketball.

I'm pansexual and agender; feel free to ask me about it, as I'm open to discussing my gender identity and sexual orientation, but don't be a dick. I'm here to enjoy myself, not to field rude questions. Anyways, that means I would like it if you referred to me with they/them pronouns. If that bothers or upsets you, don't refer to me at all.

But at the end of the day, I'm just here to have a good time! I love writing and it's something I've been doing on the side for the last six or seven years, and I've even taken a couple classes focused on writing in college. So let's get to it, then!

@Mercenary Lord if I could respond with a crying face instead of a like, I would. I'll miss ya, dad! Good luck with real life!

@NarcissisticPotato Thanks for that clarification! I was wondering who that was directed at while I was reading it. Writing up a post right now.

edit: and there it is. I'm getting a little carried away with Cameron's internal ramblings, I think...

@reiko@flightless-angel-castiel Hey there! Good to add a few more faces to the party. :D
Finally managed to sit down and get a post up! I should be able to be more open for posting more frequently from now on, though.
Jannali's instinctively shook her head in disgust. Of course Kwelek was going to try to keep it for a few days. But she caught herself, as her mind began to bounce around differing opinions. She dropped into a sort of trance, reasoning the situation out in her head as Kwelek addressed the group that was quickly forming around them. Her years of obeying the elders' words and adhering to the beliefs of the tribe were causing her to feel disappointment in Kwelek and his plans. He should have given it to the elders immediately, and that Jannali stood there without running straight to them made her uncomfortable.

But on the other hand... who knew what this could mean? She, too, wanted to study Kwelek's finding in an attempt to discover the secrets that were held within. Not that she could, since she wouldn't be able to decipher its mysteries without further knowledge, but wasn't that the whole point? To learn as much as she could before the opportunity was taken away from her? Jannali sighed, conflicted in her opinions.

As she reemerged into the real world, Kwelek snatched the journal out of Jannali's hands and bolted for the nearest tent, ducking behind it for cover. Dazed, Jannali looked around, regaining her bearings and grasping what was going on. She spotted the source of Kwelek's panic - the elders were leaving their hut and approaching them slowly. Jannali blushed, turning away and walking quickly after Kwelek, becoming more and more obsessed with the journal with every passing moment.
count me in!
still here, also having trouble getting some time aside for a post. hopefully, tomorrow will be much better and I'll get one up tomorrow!
I am loving reading all this relationship info. It's so fun, and it gets me so excited!
Consciousness didn't return to Cameron until after the crash, and by the time she got her brain running at speed, most of the other kids were already out of their pods and exploring their new environment. Cameron stumbled out of her pod into the cargo hold, jogging to catch up to the other former inmates. With every step, new questions formed, new logic checks that had no answers. They had escaped prison, but gone where? Onto a ship and into those pods. What were the glass pods? Likely some sort of stasis pod, judging by how long it had taken her to reboot once she woke up. (Stop that, you aren't a computer, you don't reboot, you wake the hell up.) Why did her head hurt? Likely hitting her head on the top of the pod during the crash. Why did they crash? Answer uncertain. Where did they crash? Answer uncertain. How long were they in those pods?

Answer uncertain. That one worried Cameron the most. If she was right, and those were stasis pods, then they could have been trapped inside for any variable amount of time. Too many answers uncertain, too many questions left without resolutions. That was unacceptable.

She found the rest of the group, all gathered in... what were those? Trees? Was that running water? In hindsight, crashing on a planet made sense, but planets were such an unknown to Cameron that the possibility of actually being on a planet hadn't even occurred to her. Were all planets like this?

A tear freed itself from her eyes, against Cameron's will to keep it contained. She clenched her fist, knowing that more were coming where that came from, knowing that she could keep it under control if she would just focus. Keep her brain moving and thinking about anything but the conclusion she had just arrived at in her head.

One man caught her attention: he was much older than the inmates, and from what Cameron could overhear, this was his ship they had just stowed away on. She watched as he holstered his gun, recognizing the model and make of the weapon immediately. XFire3 Switch, Marco. Her father had tried to rip its design once, to no avail. It was a weapon near unmatched in known space. (Best not fuck with him, then.)

Cameron heard numerous questions wondering where they were, bringing her mind right back exactly to where she did not want it. "We're on a planet," Cameron whispered, slumping over where she stood and sitting right there in the grass. "We're on a motherfucking planet." She repeated it louder that time, half as an answer to those around her and half as a reminder that this was a very real situation they found themselves in. Fortunately, Cameron held back her tears, but her shock was apparent; she stared emptily at the grass beneath, struggling to fully comprehend its existence.
Also aiming to get a post up, soon! Things have been pretty wild for me, too.
