Why did the Tyranid cross the road? Because it consumed the chicken's biomass and assimilated its actions into the hive mind...

@Monochromatic Rainbow With guns you mist think in the trend of Dishonored. They do exist, but only work with Whale Oil. (and as you can imagine, whale oil can only be obtained through scavenging and is rather valuable). And of course hitting stuff with a wrench is allowed. Hell, you could even hit stuff with a wooden stick. As long as it packs some punch :P And mechanical skills are always useful in a world ruled by scavenging.

@WanderingShield I was looking for around the 5 characters, and there are currently 3 submitted. Of course, if I get a few more, I won't complain. So yeah, you can still apply. :)

Scratching his chin, Ogroin ponders about which route to take. Going through cave troll territory would be equal to suicide, but the icy peaks weren't a luxury trip either. However, it would mean a moment of rest, for the walls had nooks and crevices they could hide in. He made his decision.
"Alright fellows. I know how much you hate climbing, but I take it you hate bein' eaten alive by rock trolls even more, and since I value your lives, yes even you Darak, we'll be going over the cliffs." A quick look up the rocky wall, reveals several ledges and small caverns. "As you can see, there are many spots we can rest for a change, which will also do us some good after that running. So ready the ropes and grappling hooks, check your backpack and get ready to climb boys!" Being a goblin had his perks, like not having to wait for ropes and the like. Ogroin jumps on the rocky wall and starts to climb. Luckily, the rock wall is an easy climb for someone like Ogroin, and not too soon he reaches the first ledge. Looking down he can see the other Rangers slowly making their way up. Ogroin decides to wait for the rest of his party. Wouldn't want to be caught with his pants down if he would stumble upon some sort of rocky monster. Who knew what'd live in these crevices.

@AbysmalDemon Looks good, apart from the smg thing. Like I said to dndragons, guns aren't that common, let alone automatic firing ones. If you can come up with a creative gun powered by either whale oil or some other steampunky stuff, and make it so you have a valid reason for having after the calamity, then you're golden.
@dndragons Guns do exist, but work rather poorly due to all the sand. They require a lot of maintenance. Think... Flintlocks but a bit more advanced. Dishonored (game) has a nice example.
But most people have fallen back on simpler weapons.
The Shifting Sands

"It has been 141 years since the great Calamity. To this day, we still do not know where the sands came from, only that it forced us from our homes. Now, we are stuck travelling like nomads from one oasis to another.
When our cities disappeared in the sand, so did our hearts too apparently. All the races blamed each other for the great disaster and each went their own way. Now we have dozens of tribes roaming the sands, each tribe fighting for the little resources that are left.
Basic resources like water and food are already scarce, but the things people really kill for, are down in the cities. Things like technology, books or whale oil. To retrieve these things, we sent down expeditions. But we quickly learned that it wasn't that simple. Apparently other creatures had made our old cities their home. So we trained special footman to go down. We called them, the Dwellers.
Now that you know our history, I shall tell you a special tale. This tale begins with a peculiar tribe. You see, this tribe had people from all races. Human, elves, dwarves, you name it, they had it. Why was it like that you ask? Well, this tribe was tribe of outcasts. People thrown out of their original tribe for whatever reason, come to this camp to continue living. Here your past didn't matter, only the present and the future. And this tribe too had special trained Dwellers, which this story will be about...

Welcome to the Shifting Sands

Your characters will be a squad of Dwellers, tasked to scavenge supplies in any way necessary for the Tribe. Like it says in the IC bit, the tribe consists of multiple races. Of course the standard human, elf, dwarf fall under that, but if you can come up with something clever, do not hesitate to throw the idea in the group.

For you to nicely play along, I need you to fill out this Character Sheet. Do post this in the Characters Tab. Lovely stuff.

Fill that in, get a wink from me, and you're on board. With 4 Character sheets in and approved, the playing will commence!

"Alright you pieces of shite. You all listen to me now, understood?" Ogroin looks up from the map of the area and stares at the three rangers. "Listen to my every command, and you just might survive this mission. It's a long walk, and few opportunities for a pause. So eat your grub and take one last leak, cause from now on, we'll be running. And if I have to get your ass moving again like last time, Gobor... I guess you don't want to lose another toe. We depart in five."
Ogroin turns away from his group and steps to his backpack to finish up the last of his things. A couple vials of poison, some throwing daggers and just some other useful adventure gear. He watches as the other creatures finish up packing. "All done? Very well... Let's run! Ossaaaah!" Ogroin starts running, with the other three rangers close behind. They quickly enter a forest, jumping form tree to tree. Although Ogroin hated orcs, they sure knew how to give Blessings of the Winds.
I think that makes 5 (including me) if @TheYouthPastor is still game. I will be whipping up a Character sheet and post the OOC asap. Glad to get this started :)

OOC is up right now!

:( Way to make it depressive.

Anywho, now you post your dream/wish, and someone else will crush it, and then (s)he will post her/his wish or dream and rince and repeat! Fun for everyone!
Easy game. I post something I want/wish, and you come up with a way that f*cks it up.

I wish to be rich.
