Why did the Tyranid cross the road? Because it consumed the chicken's biomass and assimilated its actions into the hive mind...

@Monochromatic Rainbow Well, it's a ship with two gliders on either side. I couldn't find a picture of it on google, and drawing isn't my strongsuit :(
Right, you guys have arrived in the city! Huzzah! Also, welcome to @IrishAngelQueen! Yay for having you on board.
Flynn shrugs as he sees Williams disappearing in the vegetation. "As long as it doesn't involve swimming, I'm game." He turns around to 3Y3, attaches the droid with a little wire to his backpack and slowly follows Williams back into the jungle. He pushes aside some thick plants as he makes his way. "Wait up! I'm escorting a blind droid back here!"

Suddenly a tug from behind. He turns around to find 3Y3 stuck in some vines. Flynn let's out a sigh, brings up his arm and let's a small arm blade extend from his wrist. He starts hacking away the vines so that 3Y3 cane move once more. The droid let's out a thankful beep and continues following Flynn as the human quickly goes back to following Williams. He had quickly lost sight of him, but luckily the heartbeat monitor still worked on his HUD.

After a couple a minutes of wandering through the jungle and following the bleep on the heartbeat monitor, he finds Williams and taps him on the shoulder. "So. What's your plan then?"

The harbor was nothing more then one tent and what seemed like three boats. On a closer inspection the boats were outfitted with two long runners which made it able to glide over the sand. It also had a small sail and at the back a special motor that was designed to propel the Skitter forward in the sand. Of course this motor ran on Whale Oil. It was the most (and only) used vehicle by Dwellers, as it made for a fast transport across the sand. Sonya had checked all the supplies. Sleeping bags, rucksacks filled with basic survival gear, some food rations, two boxes of universal ammo and three small Whale Oil containers. All was there! Judas had kept his word.

Vlor arrived shorty after and apologized for running late. He had some unfinished business that took priority apparently. The three wait a bit longer for the others, but after nearly another hour of waiting, and the sun slowly setting, the group decides to set out. Who knew what happened to the others? Maybe they were dragged into one of the many tents and stabbed to a bleeding pulp? It was all possible. The three get in the boat, check the motor and Samual starts the engine, which comes alive with a loud roar. The Sand Skitter flies away over the sand, the 'harbormaster' waving you a goodbye.

The city of Nurenhaven was about a two hour ride with the Sand Skitter. With not much to do on a small ship like this, the group quickly went to doing their own things. Vlor kept on lookout, Sonya quickly took out a small device which she started tinkering on and Samual simply kept the Skitter on track. Not a lot of obstacles in a desert, but better safe then sorry. The trip was rather uneventful. Apart from a couple of fins piercing the surface of the sand, there were no other distractions and it didn't take long before the remains of the city of Nurenhaven could be spotted on the horizon, bathing in the light of the now upcoming moon.

The city didn't look like much. 141 years of sand does that to something. Some of the higher buildings were sticking out of the sand and seemed to be intact, but the lower buildings were mostly covered or destroyed by the sand. While Nurenhaven used to be a lake city, there was no trace of what used to be the lake. It appears that the sand had hit the city during the Festival of Wings. A human holiday, praising the Goddess of the Air. Little stands could be seen sticking out of the sand here and there and, what used to be, the main street led to a pole sticking out of the sand. On that pole a flag... Torn and bleached by the elements. No one hold anymore claim on this town.

The group had to abandon the Sand Skitter on the outskirts of the city. The runners were delicate things and could not withstand the impact of hitting some loose debris. Too risky driving this thing into the city. It was already nearing midnight when the group finally unloaded everything from their Skitter, so there wasn't a whole lot visible. What could be seen where three small houses on their left, half covered in sand and not directly accessible. Luckily, nowadays people rarely used the doors. On their right was just a big sand pile. Probably covering some other houses. They could simply loot the smaller houses, but the real deals were in the city itself. For that, they just had to go straight on.
Flynn get's up and dusts of his jacket. He is not laughing. "I... quite agree on that. Though I'm afraid we -do- have to do it again." He opens his Omni-Tool and scans for the signal once more. "The signal is coming from that direction." And he points down at the sea. "It is also aligned with the coordinates from the colony building where these terrorists are holding up. Misplacement of the base, or a first try of oceanic colonization?" He looks over his shoulder at Williams and shrugs. "Thanks for the rescue though mate. That would have been quite the lame way to die after all we've been through."

3Y3 bumps against Flynn as his sensors are still blinded. "Hey, what's wrong buddy? Signal interfering with your optical sensors? I should've updated that interference shield ages ago." The little droid makes a sad chirping sound as Flynn pets him. "So... Any ideas on how to get down there and how to survive the water? I don't like water... Who knows what might be in there." He looks over the edge of the cliff and shivers.
@Monochromatic Rainbow Yes, good idea. I'vecontacted IrishAngelQueen, but Wade is gone for the next five days.

This is aslso a reminder for @SuperTacticalDerp To not abandon us. :(
I shall write something nice up tomorrow. And that nice thing will be you guys being in the city. I don't see the point of playing out the journey there, cause that would just be more talking. Aaaand that didn't go well in the past.
@Pathfinder That is totally fair to assume indeed. I'll PM you some examples. You can pick from them if you want, or come up with something clever yourself of course. Do notify me beforehand about that though. :P
Well, there is not a lot to GM for now. I do have some big story in the back of my head, but we'll come to that when it arrives. For now, we're just two badass mercs who do stuff. :P To put your mind at ease, for now, major story stuff doesn't really matter.
What at first seems like a small hole, is actually a cliff that plunges directly into the sea. Flynn managed to grab one of the ledges as he was falling. He looks up as he hears his companion arriving. "Oh thank god. Get me up! I don't like this. Too high..." He looks down and quickly regrets his decision. "My grappling hook has malfunctioned. Shoot yours down or something!" As he tries to find a more stable footing, some of the rocks slip away, making him loosing his grip for a mere moment. "And quick!"
