Life can be...just wow. Lessons learned from my hiatus: it's ok to be vulnerable with those you care about, the people who love you will always remain in your life and be true to what you want.

My turn to say if i need to edit, let me know! I felt like that post was kinda short
Justin was about to retort when an explosion assailed his ears, the scout running back to the window to discover that the Harbingers were lobbing spherical shaped objects at the remnants of Connor's men, said objects exploding after a few seconds. Explosives? How on earth could they have created something that compact?
"Grenades." Connor cursed, striding to the door.
"You two take potshots from the buildings, see if you can't distract them while I get the rest of the boys and lick our wounds before the cavalry arrives. Hope you can jump far." Walking to the armory, Justin grabbed a rifle with a grainy wooden stock and a strap, slinging it over his back before clambering up the ladder.
"Cam, here." He helped her up onto the roof and pointed at a ledge waist height.
"We've got some cover that way. We'll take a few shots from this position, then move to the next roof and keep moving until...well, until we run out of ammo or they're all dead. Here's hoping it's the latter." He crouched, getting the rifle into both hands. Resting it on the ledge, he looked through the scope.
"Eight of them. Five charging ahead, three standing by the truck. Try to take those out first." He breathed in, shutting his eyes for a brief moment. On the exhale, eyes opened, brow furrowed. His finger caressed the trigger, adjusting the rifle to the left before getting off two shots to one of the Harbinger's legs. He collapsed, the other two unloading their assault rifles onto their position. Justin sank back into cover, reloading the rifle as another explosion rocked the air, screams echoing through the ruins. The hail of bullets stopped, allowing Justin to tell Cam:
"Fire on em! I'll jump over to the next roof and get you covering fire." With that, he jumped to his feet and sprinted to the edge of the roof, his legs propelling him across the gap to the next building. Thankfully the next building had a similar facade, which gave him the benefit of cover, but after taking a quick glance at the other buildings, he realized they wouldn't have cover. They would have to hold out on these two rooftops or get down into the buildings and hope the Harbingers aren't sending more reinforcements up. He got his rifle back into position and spied that the once charging Harbingers were now being thwarted by Connor and a few more of his men. Some of the reinforcements must have been rather close to downtown. He thanked the Graceful Being as he looked to the truck, the driver of the vehicle holding something in his hands..

He then heard what sounded like thunder cracking through the sky, the scout looking to the horizon on their right to find tiny dots coming towards the battle site. As the dots came closer, rotors and extended machine guns were visible from the bellies of the
"Helcopters! Cam, back down, quick!"
It was nice to see her making the effort to communicate and form some kind of common ground between them. He chuckled at her comment about her feet before listening intently to her comments about trying to wrap one's arms around something they were trained to hate for most of their lives. It was true; he had mentioned to Aria earlier on the way to Taris that so much of him wanted to eliminate the "Sith" scum that he saw Aria as. Never once did it cross his mind that maybe, just maybe, Aria could be helped, that her murdering of Lysa was a result of an environment that encouraged nothing but. Another chuckle at her thankful comment and a smile at her promise.
"That means a lot. It really does." His lips parted in an effort to say more, but the swirling mixture of emotions and thoughts regarding their newfound partnership were forced to be repressed when the ship's nav computer blipped loudly to indicate their drop from hyperspace. As he rose from his chair, he heard Aria comment about the strange make up of the planet. Yerbol nodded in agreement at her statement.
"It's strange to see such a dichotomy. I do know Belsavis is made up of conflicting ecosystems like this, but to see the contrast so starkly is...odd." He had dropped into the pilot's chair and was now attempting to scan for a landing spot. It was strange that the nav computer had dropped them out of hyperspace right into the atmosphere instead of a few miles away from the atmosphere. Had he made some kind of programming error? Shrugging, the young Knight placed two fingers on the screen and zoomed in on the surface, pressing down on what looked like a clearing in the midst of a dense forest. The ship slowed down to accommodate the landing request, which allowed Yerbol to pay more attention to the planet visible from the glass in the cockpit. There were massive mountain peaks that jutted up in almost every direction, the valleys below loaded with foliage. Smoke rose from a number of active volcanoes and, upon passing a couple more miles, the cracked and scorched earth Aria had referred to was visible.
"What could have caused the environment to segment off like this so much?" He wondered aloud as the ship traveled a few more miles before hovering over the clearing, settling gently down.

Pack slung over his back and lightsaber clipped to his belt, the Knight let down the hatch, his boots almost melting into the soft earth. He looked forward, noting the barrier of trees.
"Let's scout around, see if we can't find some kind of path."
Yaaay! No worries at all. Will get you a post probably tomorrow if that's alright. Still trying to recover from Comicpalooza yesterday xD
Sorry if I didn't get to planetside right away, but felt that Yerbol needed a bit of time to reflect on Lysa. Feel free to move onto the planet in your next post if you'd like :)
"True enough." Master Shan's crystal blue irises found the closest planet marked with coordinates. If one were to overlay a map of the currently known galaxy, that planet would exist in the northern regions of Wild Space. She grimaced, sitting back in her chair.
"Which could mean that the closest planet to Korriban would be a good place to start. If they were attempting to launch a strike and get resources on Korriban, it would make sense for one of their major bases of operation to be on this unknown planet here." She pointed at the planet for emphasis.
"It's settled then. Yerbol, you and Aria will take one of the ships housed on base to make your way to those coordinates. We don't know what the communication situation will be like, but if you can, ensure that you stay in contact as much as possible. We're not comfortable sending you into the uncharted wilderness without having some kind of way to know how you're doing, but sometimes high risk is accompanied by high reward." Yerbol's brow rose for a moment, surprised at how non-chalant Master Syo seemed about their impending mission. He knew that Master Syo was concerned, but normally he was conservative, choosing to move on something only after all factors are involved. To know that he was willing to risk lives for this operation so willingly was both a testament to how earnestly the Jedi Masters wanted these True Sith dealt with and concerning. Were the Masters going to be consumed in hunting the Sith instead of helping others? Was this war exacting a massive cost on the Masters sense of right and wrong? Yerbol shook himself mentally. Not the time for philosophical tangents.

"Take as much as you need in terms of supplies. We will try to send help if we haven't received word in one week. We're hoping that'll give you both enough time to at least find a few things we can use." Yerbol nodded, rising to his feet.
"May the Force be with you both."

They would need it.

After circumventing the nav computer's insistence on the coordinates being in "Wild Space", a "dangerous location forbidden for travel by the Republic, code E-292", Yerbol was able to get the auto-pilot and hyperspace inputs added. Of course, with no proven data on this unknown planet, there was a unknown travel duration. Korriban to Taris was about twelve hours and judging from the Star Maps they had examined, it didn't look as if the planet was too far from Korriban. So maybe two days? Three at the most? He informed Aria of their potential travel time as they departed the Republic docking bay, hitting hyperspace about twenty minutes later. Yerbol was currently sitting in a room just off the cockpit with a small rectangular table and a few chairs tucked up against it. His eyes were cast downward at a small holo projector, the circular object projecting vids that he had managed to film during some of Lysa's explorations on Tython. They were teenagers then, Yerbol's voice squeakier than the deeper tenor-like voice he had now. In the current vid, Lysa was scouring over some rocks, attempting to climb up to the top of the hill in order to find "a lost relict from Jedi past!". He leaned forward, elbows on the table, a small smile creeping onto his face.
"So blasted curious all the time." He mumbled to himself.
Ooohhh yeah. Maybe like a semi-lava/tropical forest type deal?

Well, I was thinking that they could stumble onto the first planet(lava/tropical) and discover through old holocrons and scrolls that the planet was used as a training ground for Acolytes. The duo could go through the trials in order to get the attention of these "true Sith". Then we can go from there?
Posted!

Curious as to where you'd like to go from here. I've got a couple of ideas:

1. Go into Wild Space, explore the first planet they come to, which I assume will hold some clue as to who the True Sith are
2. Visit Dantooine and find out if there are any more clues.

What do you think? Additions/subtractions?
The gesture that Yerbol had thought would feel much more satisfying was...well, not very satisfying.
"Right then. See you in the morning. Master Shan mentioned meeting in the same room as we did earlier." He walked across the hall to find a modestly furnished quarters, snorting a chuckle. It was rather spartan, it was to be expected at a Republic base. Had to make sure the troops were "used to the rigors of war" even when they weren't fighting. Sounded like an excuse for the Republic to not spend money on good beds.

With the door closed, he undressed, leaving himself with nothing but a pair of black shorts before laying on the almost too short cot. There was a nagging feeling of doubt about the operation, even in the Masters. Of course, what else did he expect? He was working with his sister's murderer, a known Sith who would have left him in the tomb on Korriban to achieve fame and prestige. That's what his sister was going to be, wasn't it? Another trophy. Yet, what he had said about her death not being in vain was correct. If they were able to carry on with Lysa's research and actually find something worthwhile, then Yerbol would be at peace. He wouldn't forget that Lysa put herself in that situation, that she chose the way of the Sith, but he still would miss her, still would try to think only of the good times they shared. His eyes closed. A smile formed on his lips.

Eight o clock found Yerbol and the Masters situated in the same room as last night, their eyes cast upward at the map of stars projected onto the ceiling by not only the relic Yerbol and Aria uncovered on Korriban, but three others that the Masters had with them in case of discovering an item on Taris. The map was connected, fleshed out with coordinates and notes that seemed hastily added. The coordinates themselves were for two known planets: Dantooine and Korriban. The others were located in what would be considered "Wild Space", an uncharted portion of the galaxy that few have dared to enter and those who enter tend to never return.
"It is interesting that the map marks the past location of the Jedi Temple...maybe these True Sith were planning some kind of attack?"
"Likely, but why Korriban? Wouldn't that be where they would want to set up their 'restored Order'?" Master Syo's question was followed by a door sliding open behind him...
GAH! My summer break has not included the break as of yet :/. Sorry about the delays. If I don't get one to you today, I'll get you one tomorrow
