Unless he is attending military ceremony or going to war, he won't be wearing his armor. It will instead stay in his room on a stand with his sword. He won't wear his sword in classes unless they involve combat. Instead he will wear a dagger at his hip. When he is outside in public, he´ll wear his sword
It's probably good to mention that armor is ridiculously noisy and uncomfortable, normal people only wear it when they need it or think they'll need it. well played.
